Rate this book
The Cold War was fought by brave men and women, including some who were both! This is the story of Charles/Moira, the “impossible woman” who wouldn’t ever be hired by a staid secret intelligence agency making for the perfect cover for clandestine hijinks!

Discharged from a military career, Moira finds herself recruited to a life of government contracting and toiling in the bowels of Washington, DC, in a life of routine office work interspersed by periodic spurts of terrifying high intrigue. This is espionage from a woman’s point of travel, glamour, fabulous clothes, and lifelong friendships forged by fire.

Cheryl Costa has taken the reader through an intriguing journey of the life of a Cold War spy. This books shares the intricate details of how one is trained and how an operation is carried out. It was a thriller and emotional. I laughed, cried, and shared in the anguish experienced by the characters. To live such a secret life is no easy task, yet I know that many people worldwide have to do so. Bravo to Cheryl for sharing this fascinating story. It held my attention from beginning to end.
