Devon
Freedom always comes with a price. Selling myself for half a million dollars for one weekend of debauchery is well worth it, if it means I can finally move out and get away from my overbearing father and brother.
My plan is going perfectly until I discover my buyer isn’t some anonymous billionaire like I’d hoped. No, Tate Winters happens to be my brother’s best friend…and he also happens to hate my guts.
Can I put our past aside for the weekend and focus on my freedom? Or will Tate ruin my chance at happiness all over again?

Tate
Going to a high-profile auction isn’t my typical Saturday night, but I’m not the type to pass up on a good time. Especially if it involves a weekend full of mind-melting sex.
Which is why when I see my cheating ex, Devon, up for grabs, I can’t help but purchase her, if only to give her a taste of her own medicine.
They say there’s nothing sweeter than the taste of revenge, but one bite of Devon has me hungry for more than just payback. Can I destroy the woman who broke me? Or will obsession ruin more than what lies between us?

Wow this book has some twists going on. A little slow in the beginning but definitely picks up and bam get hit with the twist. I enjoyed reading Devon & Tate story and man your heart breaks a little for Tate. There is some miscommunication but it makes it worth it all at the end.

Wow, this is definitely like a third time the charm type of romance. I loved the characters. There are some flash back moments from when they were kids, which definitely makes the book that much more interesting. Spice is there as well. Characters are definitely flawed, but they both love each other even if they take forever to realize it.

Tate and Devon are such a cute couple there lovers to enemies to lovers. Childhood friends found family. She's a virgin but he doesn't believe her. Tate is broken and Devon fixes him. Not many twists that I didn't see coming in this book but it was a good read

Enemies to Lovers
Childhood Friends
Found Family
Virgin
Overprotective Brother

Tate and Devon are super cute and I had all the feels…and I mean ALL…when I was reading this one. I was going from infuriated to angry to sad to confused to giddy and giggly and sometimes all in the same chapter. I adored how young they seemed trying to navigate their feelings for one another in the sweet moments, it just made it so very cute. 🥹

Tate’s story just breaks your heart and makes it so hard to hate him and not root for him. But the way he hurt her when they were younger makes you feel for Devon as well. It was so hard trying to pick a side.

I will say it was so confusing when she kept saying she was a virgin and he kept saying in his head she's not but I’ll let her pretend. I was like, who's lying here???

I really loved the way he was so adamant he was doing all this to get revenge because he hates her and she broke him but we all knew that couldn’t be further from the truth. Like pretty much immediately after the auction I was like…I am not buying that you’re faking bro but I’ll let you keep thinking you are.

I did almost dnf towards the 25-50% mark because I wasn’t feeling it and it was kinda slow but I am SO GLAD i didn’t. This was seriously such a good book and the plot was also amazing. I could totally picture the book in my mind. The only reason it’s not a 5 star is because it was slow in the beginning, but it does pick up! If you’re not a fan of miscommunication this may not be for you, but it’s not a super major part of the plot so you could just try to ignore it. 😂 But man was I so mad at Tate for choosing to assume rather than actually communicate, but they were kids so I’ll let it slide this time.

I absolutely ADORED how she, Tate, Dane, Summer, Astrid, her dad, and Summers parents all became one big family. It was so CUTE. Devon girl…you are living my DREAM. When tate “threatened” calling in his winning favor during the proposal it had me laughing so hard, while I was trying to fight off tears because of how sweet the scene was. I loved how protective, loving, and loyal everyone was. The proposal scene was absolutely PERFECT. I loved every single second of it. Oh and I loved the full circle moment when she called him Tato at the end. Had me about to tear up 🥹.

Quote timeeeeee:
T: “You want to know why I bought you Devon? You want to know why I spent three point five million dollars on you, huh?”
D: “Yes!”
T: “Because there is no way in hell I could've lived with myself knowing you went home with someone else. The thought of any other man in that room putting his hands on you has me fucking crazy. Because this virginity you wanted to sell? It belongs to me. Always fucking has.”

_______________________________

Even though I masked my love for her with hatred, it says a lot that I couldn't ever leave her alone. I'm so in love with her, it's pathetic.

_______________________________

Tate is the reason all of these emotions are here, yet he's the one who makes me feel better. How can that be fair? How is the person who causes me the most pain the same person who makes me feel the best?

Format: 📱 eBook 📱

Another unique entry in the A Night to Remember Auction shared universe, and I really enjoyed it. I've always been a fan of Fox's writing, and I love that she's starting to branch out into contemporary romance.

This is a brother's best friend, enemies to lovers' story. Devon's need to be part of the auction was so she could escape from under the watchful eyes of her dad and her twin brother, and create a life of her own. She's almost too protected by her brother, and years to be able to live how she wishes.

Tate was an interesting character to read about; head of the business established by his father, seemingly a lot older than his actual age with all the responsibilities on his shoulders. He attends the auction for a bit of fun, but when he sets his eyes on Devon, plans change for him.

I enjoyed the past relationship between the two characters, and that it was almost a second-chance romance, if you squint. The thought of Tate getting revenge on Devon kind of intrigued me, and definitely kept me reading. But when he shows his sweet side? That's when I swooned and didn't want the story to end.

This book is the epitome of miscommunication. Had the two MCs just talked, there wouldn't have been any scheming involved, and they would have had their happily ever after years ago. I was actually kind of frustrated when we learned the truth of why Tate hated Devon so much, as I feel it was highly blown out of proportion - but drama makes a story, after all. I'm still not 100% certain how I feel about Tate given all that went down, but I definitely enjoyed reading his redemption and character growth.

The side arc of Summer's story was enjoyable, though at times in the latter portion of the book, I feel it overshadowed Devon and Tate's story. Though, in saying that, I would love to read the full story with Summer, should Fox ever write it.

Thank you to the author and the A Night to Remember Auction team for the eARC opportunity. These are my honest thoughts that I have provided voluntarily.

IM OBSESSED THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD. Once I started reading I found it really hard to stop. For some reason this book reminded me of when I first fell in love with reading and I havent felt like that in a longgg minute.

As annoyed as I was at the characters at times I still really liked them. Yes can they have solved everything if they would have sat and had a conversation, absolutely. This book reminded me how much I enjoy the revenge, miscommunication, he hurts her so bad and its absolutely gutted after type of books. There’s something about a man realizing his mistakes and doing everything he can to fix it that I love. Devon and Tate were a bi t toxic but I still loved them together. They had really good chemistry and bc they’ve known each other their entire lives basically the banter and everything felt easy between them. As much as they said they “hated” each other they found it difficult to ignore one another. It was a confrontation here or eye contact there but they were always unintentionally seeking each other out.

I just really loved them. There was also some stuff that happened that had me shocked. Never saw them coming. I would love to read a book her brother and summer. On that topic hopefully if her brother gets his own book I need him to change the way he treated Devon. There’s no denying he loves his sister but the way he would treat her like she’s a child got on my nerves. Also for some reason I really liked Gunner, so if he gets his won book/novella I would love to read it.

My favorite thing that happened though was Devon realizing that she deserves to be treated better by EVERYONE and deciding to start fresh somewhere else. I felt like that helped her think a lot and just come into herself without depending on anyone. I LOVE an independent queen.

This is my first book by this author and its absolutely not gonna be my last. I loved the story and really enjoyed the writing !!!❤❤

Fixing What Never Should Have Been Broken

OMG 🤯 This was a WILD ride y’all…like, hold on before you fall off wild 😉 This was like a master class on lovers-to-enemies-to-lovers and all the complicated emotions and twists & turns that lead from one extreme to the other. I didn’t even mind that it was only MF (I mainly read whychoose 😉). The storytelling for the main characters, as well as the secondary characters, was so on point. The author does not let you walk away from this book without feeling ALL the feels lol. It was hard to see the way Tate treated Devon because of his perceived issues with her, especially when it would’ve been so easy for them to simply clear the air (in the present, or even better, in the past before they lost years of happiness), but they had a lot of soul searching they needed to do, as well as a massive amount of growing up to do, before either of them were truly in a proper state of mind to be in a relationship (definitely Tate more so than Devon). Of course, that just made all the moments when Tate let his guard down, or when he started to see how he messed up, that much sweeter for the rarity of them. I felt like he redeemed himself though, and I was satisfied with the way things ended (although I wouldn’t say no to stories for some of those amazing side characters I mentioned earlier…✨Summer✨ hint hint 😉😂). If you enjoy books with characters that make you wanna rip your hair out, or possibly even reach into the pages to shake some sense into them…then you have found the book you’ve been looking for 😂 But once you start, be prepared to settle in for the journey ahead, all the way until the very end ❤️

A Woman Trying to Live Her Life...

Another great book in the A Night To Remember Auction series. I love how each book is a different troupe. This one is a revenge, second chance romance.

This is a med-fast pace romance read. I love Devon and Tatum's story. The love-hate relationship pulled me into their story. My heart went out to Devon. A young woman who is trying to live her life but everywhere she turns she has her overprotect family and bully ex-boyfriend there to prevent her from it. She just wants her freedom.

Have you ever read a book and felt like one character just needs a good kick in the butt or a smack in the head? For me, that would be Tatum. He had his head up his butt for a lot of the book. All he has on his mind is revenge on Devon. He can't see anything else.

The sexual attraction between the two is very undeniable. It's funny to read how they both tried to find off those feelings for each other. Now, when they finally do give in, all I can say is that Tatum knows how to take command in the bedroom. What woman doesn't love multiple orgasms.

I definitely wasn't surprised when big secrets come out and a certain someone is wearing yolk on their face. This book I'd a crazy ride and I loved every minute of it.

Bought and Broken is written by Quell T. Fox and is part of the A Night To Remember Auction shared world where each book is written by a different author.

💜 childhood friends
💜 found family
💜 second chances
💜 forced proximity
💜 🌶🌶🌶🌶 spice

Devon is just trying to have a good time with her best friend, Summer, but he keeps showing up no matter what part they go to. Tatum, her ex-boyfriend and brother’s best friend, shows up and ruins her fun all of the time. Why does he have to do it? They aren’t together anymore. Why does he have to stick his nose in it? He and her brother keep her from having a life, even five year later after the breakup. Maybe participating in this auction will give her the money she needs to leave and start a new life. She can do this right? Everything will all work out for her, right?

This was a good installment into the shared world. There were a few twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Devon and Summers friendship was good and I liked how they could lean on each other. A couple of the characters needed the growing up that they got. In the end, this was a fun story.

Really good book. This is a series all by different authors and are stand alone books. This one was about Devon. She had a twin brother named Dane. They are a wealthy family in the clothing industry. She has a best friend Summer and they did everything together. Summer has a little girl Astrid who she was raising on her own. One day Devon received an invite to this auction that would change her life. She wanted to have freedom from her brother and father. They didn’t let her do anything really. They treated her like a little kid and she was frustrated. Dane and his best friend Tate were supposed to go to that auction as well. They both rode together in Tates limo. Dane ended up getting a call and didn’t go inside. He had to handle something that happened which Tate found out later on what happened. So Tate was alone and he ended up bidding on Devon. Unbeknownst to her until the end. She found out later on why he bid on her. There were a lot of ups and downs. I’m glad Tate figured his stuff out. He went through a lot growing up. So did Devon and Dane. They were all really close growing up.

In this 7th book in the A Night to Remember Auction shared world we have Bought and Broken by Quell T. Fox. I thought this was my first book by this author, but when checking through their library, I realized I have read one other book by her. Capybara Island! Anyway, back to Bought and Broken. This was a stellar book! Another fantastic addition to this brilliant series!!

Tate and Devon were astounding characters! Devon was an over-protected and longing to break free FMC. Tate was a broken and damaged MMC with MASSIVE trust issues! Dane and Summer are two of the BEST side characters I have EVER read! I seriously hope they get their own story! They totally one!!!!

As we see in the book, Tate purchases Devon at the auction. There is something CRAZY drama and then we finally get an enchanting HEA! But you have to read this book to find out all of the juicy stuff in between!!!

This was one heck of a story! Quell T. Fox did an out-freaking-standing with this book! I can’t wait to read book 8! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Bought and Broken is the 7th book in the Night To Remember Auction series. This is a collaboration series written by 13 different authors. These books can be read as standalones however to fully enjoy this series the way the authors intended, it is highly suggested to read them in order. Bought and Broken is a bully romance. Devon feels like she will always be treated like a child unless she can get out from under her father and protective twin brother and away from her brother’s best friend, Tatum, who has bullied her for the last 5 years after breaking her heart. Participating in the auction is the only way for Devon to do so. Unfortunately for Devon, her buyer is set out for revenge and won’t stop until she hurts just as much as she hurt him. When plans are revealed and the truth about what truly happened 5 years ago come to light, will Devon and Tatum be able to forgive each other? Fantastic addition to the series and I can’t wait to see what comes next!! I received this directly from the author and this is my voluntary honest review.

Devon and Tatum have known each other since kindergarten. After many years they date and then a few months later Tatum breaks up with Devon. Never giving Devon a reason as to why.  Ending their relationship and many, many years as best friends. Tatum makes his hatred for Devon known from that moment on....fast forward a few years....Tired of being under the control of her brother and father Devon seizes the opportunity when she is accepted to be in the Club Lust auction. This is something she wants to do for herself.  Little does she know her past will be coming back for a visit. Tatum gets an invite to the auctions not knowing his best friend's little sister and ex will be up on the auction block. Devon sees this as a way out from under her family's thumb. Tatum sees it as a way to truly get his revenge. Their weekend is a whirlwind but in the end some shocking truths come to light. Will Tatum change his tune of revenge? Will he learn what really happened and what didn't? Where will this leave Devon?

Thank you Quell for a great read!

"Bought and Broken" had many twists, a lot of enemies-to-lovers vibes and really takes you on a crazy ride navigating so many emotions, and miscommunication that leads to years of hate and a very expensive auction to have one weekend to figure things out. This was my first book by Quell and I really enjoyed her writing style & the way she portrays emotions through the storyline. I loved the dual POV and how you see the storyline unfold from both Tatum's and Devon's perspectives. It was a slow burn, but picks up through the book and I think that it was best as a slow burn to build up the storyline and really understand why there is so much tension between these two. I loved Devon and her sassiness when it came to Tatum & he slowly grew on me as the story kept going. The banter and chemistry with these two are a 5/5. It was a great read and Quell is definitely an author I will continue to read books by in the future. :)

Of all the Quell T. Fox books I’ve devoured, "Bought and Broken" is hands down her least dark dark romance. But before you gasp and clutch your pearls, let me clarify: that’s not a complaint! Fox has mastered the art of weaving intricate, messy relationships with a perfect blend of secrets, misunderstandings, and oh-so-delicious drama.

This time around, we dive deep into the complicated whirlwind that is Devon and Tatum’s relationship. And oh boy, it's as steamy as it is emotional—Fox never skimps on the explicit scenes that are practically her signature (and trust me, you’ll be fanning yourself). Alongside the heated romance, we’ve got family feuds, inner chaos, and a rollercoaster of emotions that’ll leave you dizzy in the best way possible.

As always, Fox doesn’t just gift us the main couple’s journey—side characters get their moments too. In the end, everyone finds their well-deserved HEA, but not without a wild, twisty ride that keeps you glued to the page. So buckle up, because "Bought and Broken" is one book you won’t want to put down!

Quell T Fox definitely brought the drama and angst in Bought and Broken! Childhood friends to enemies in the blink of an eye with no explanation: Devon has no idea why Tatum turned on her. Their interactions border on hate most of the time and occasionally mean actions from Tatum. Their chemistry is dark, but hot when they are forced together with opposing motivations.

There is so much detail and depth in the story that the characters feel like family or friends: sometimes ones you’d like to ask what are they thinking or doing. Love and hate are powerful emotions and Tatum has been hurt in the past by his parents. He makes poor decisions in an effort to protect himself. However, Devon is stubborn enough for the both of them and their relationship withstands sabotage. I loved the strength and determination to make a life for themselves!!.

Another edition to the Night To Remember Auction and yet again there is nothing to be disappointed about. Each book is a read alone but combined they all add to this shared world and up to date if you have not had the chance to read them all then honestly I would. Okay let's get back to Quell T Fox’s book and oh what a book Bought and Broken. This book had so many levels to it and Quell T Fox does what she does best and brings us a book that is filled with emotion, confusions, a back story that leads us through to the ending. When you think you know what is going on, then you are hit with something that makes you go OHHHHH. This book has a depth to it that brings us the story of our main characters but also a hidden underside of our side characters. This book is so worth reading, I don’t want to say too much and give it away the plot but honestly check it out, Quell T Fox is one my favourite authors.

OMG! This is why I love these shared world series. While sometimes the premise of the stories can be overdone and the stories start to bleed together, you then get a story like this! I've never read a Quell T. Fox book before. And I absolutely LOVED this story. The auction, while very important to the circumstances the characters find themselves in, played such a small part in the storyline that I forgot it was even part of the series! It was so refreshing to read something so different and well written. I loved Tate and Devon. Their history, the miscommunication (while frustrating, it was the whole point), the way they came back together and forgave so much; overcame so much to find their happiness. I loved Dane, even though he's overbearing, he has the biggest heart. I can only hope we get a story about him, with a certain someone, in the future!

This story proves that love and hate really are two sides of the same coin. Though both Devon and Tate were to blame for what happened years ago, it could have all been avoided if only these two had spoken to each other and cleared the air. When Devon decides to put herself up for auction, Tate sees the perfect opportunity for revenge. It’s a diabolical plan that didn’t paint Tate in a flattering light. In fact, it made me wonder how much Tate really loved Devon, if he was willing to make her suffer for something she didn’t even know she’d done. Especially when all the angst, all the hurt and misunderstandings could so easily have been avoided if only, they had TALKED! So, can you fix two broken hearts after so many secrets and lies?

Bought and Broken is part of the multiauthor series A Night To Remember.

Devon and Tate have a lot of miscommunication going on with this relationship. They had a previous relationship but according to Devon there was no reason for the break up. But Tate sees things a little differently. He wants to get revenge on Devon as he believes she wronged him in the past. Tate was very naive about some things and really fell for the lies others spewed. If he would've just been more open with his relationship he would've been able to get his issues resolved with Devon. However, he overreacted and this led to years of pain and internal suffering.

These two did have a lot of chemistry together. There were some ultra spicy scenes but it was a bit of a slow burn to get to them. The story focuses more on the rekindling of the relationship and the fixing of their problems.

This book is so emotionally charged. You can’t help but feel for both of these characters. I have loved quite a few books from this shared world but honestly this one seriously made me feel so much. It’s heart-rending and it’s touching and you get so invested with both Devon and Tatum.

For Devon, this auction is her one taste of freedom. Her twin brother and her dad are so overprotective that she feels trapped. So when she auctions herself off in a way to get rid of her virginity and also get money to run away from her so called life, she feels almost free. But when her winning bidder happens to be her brother’s best friend aka her ex-boyfriend she’s not entirely sure if she’s free now. This book captures a lot the tense moments, the moments where you feel the love and angst between Devon and Tatum. Probably one of best reads for me.

Tate is a broken soul and has resentment toward his parents and Devon. Devon has an overprotective Father and twin brother, Dane, that are smothering her. So Devon does something crazy and she signs up for the Club Lust auction to get $500k. Guess who wins her? Tate.
Tate and Devon have a love hate relationship but reading their story you can tell they really care for each other. Unfortunately there was an incident that happened five years ago that never was resolved. This is why communication is so important between people. Once they do start talking things over those make up sessions were oh so heartwarming and steamy. It was a beautifully written story and the author did a beautiful job.

Devon and Tate's story is Emotional, Raw, Breathtaking...I'm speechless how this book broke my heart in places, but also repaired it in others. These two characters are the definite enemies to lovers...I loved Devon from the start. She was so strong, despite growing up being so protected, but hurt by people she loved. Tate was the opposite, but definitely an Alpha/protective type. Took me half the book to really start liking his character. Their chemistry was really hate/ love from the beginning...but sizzling. Love how Devon changes his view on life...I don't want to give much away...great writing, storyline kept me captivated till the end, awesome dialogue between characters, sexy scenes and you don't want to miss this book!!

Bought and Broken has all the tropes you could want: Enemies to lovers, best friend's brother, second chance....

I was beside myself saying 'You are stupid! Just talk to each other! UGH, stubborn people!' in this one. Miscommunication and stubborness is a big theme in this one. Also a little hidden secret that will blow your socks off!!

That said, I enjoyed almost every minute of this book... see above how I wanted to throw my IPAD a few times, don't recommend you do that tho, so KEEP reading.

The FMC, the MMC, and their friends/family are everything you want in a great book. The auction part was fun, and boy did this guy want the girl!

Happy reading, but be ready for the long haul... HEA guaranteed!

The next book in the a night to remember auction series features Tatum and Devon. They were friends from childhood and when they took their relationship to the next level, it didn't end on good terms. Tate thought Devon did something to him, but he never clued her in as to what she did to make him so angry. Five years later when he finds her at the auction, he has the brilliant idea to get her and break her heart the way she broke his. Suffice it to say it doesn't go exactly how he thought. They both end up broken and having to think hard about what truly happened all those years ago and what they both wanted out of life. The steam was great, but I couldn't connect with the characters as well as the other books in the series. Still a good read though!

Twas funny reading how all the MCs/side characters made errors (lies, assumptions, keeping major secrets, etc) and then got super mad at their fellow characters for making another version of said error.

More seriously, there is a major DV scene near the beginning that is never addressed and MMC seemingly never feels remorse over. Anyhow, that event/response made me strongly dislike the MMC and he never fully redeemed himself.

Love, Love, Loved this Book!!

I have loved every book in this shared world series by several authors. Bought and Broken by Quell T. Fox is no exception. Devon and Tate are the perfect couple - they have history with one another, amazing chemistry and a whole bunch of complicating factors surrounding them. This book also does a great job with it’s world building and I hope there are other books for some of the other amazing characters we have  met during this read.

This book is emotional and hot. The characters are very well developed and the story line is enchanting. I loved every minute of it and although this is my first read from this author, this will not be the last!

Bought and Broken is the 7th installment in the Night to remember auction. This installment has to be the one with the most emotion in the characters. This is a bully romance, with a lot of emotions and miscommunications. Devon wants to get out from the thumb of her father and brother so she decides to do the auction. Her buyer Tatum is set for revenge against Devon and will not rest until he’s gotten it. All this stemming from miscommunication with the past. When the truth is ultimately reveled after 5 years, we see if Devon and Tatum can forgive one another and move on. This was a very good and well written book. It was an easy read and a HEA.

So, call me screwed up but I have a soft spot for a broken a$$hat who just needs love 😂. And Tate Winters is absolutely that. Devon, on the other hand, I think is absolutely precious and I love her so much. I just think I'd want to hang out with her in real life.

So, I feel like I typically choose a side when reading a book (especially a second chance), but this story does a really good job of having you be sympathetic to both sides and questions which side is the one to be believed.

I loved Tate and Devon's journey and while it's definitely not an easy one at times, it's absolutely worth the read.

Oh my gosh this book! Loved Devon and Tate. Quell T Fox did a great job of building up their relationship at the start and creating their dynamic from the very beginning. I loved how the "big reveal" was something we found out with the character and I was DESPERATE to know what it was.

Devon is a a bad ass and am so happy with her story. Tate I loved to hate and man was ai rooting for him by the end. The HEA is utterly perfect and I was grinning like an idiot reading it and was thrilled with the ending.

This shared world is amazing and you should definitely check out all the other books in this world.
