FROM EXCITING AUTHOR OF LGBTQIA ROMANCE ROBIN JEFFREY
A Family Business story
Alex serves liquor neat, but his love life is messy as hell…
Forced to flee the UK because he witnessed his cousin’s murder at the hands of a ruthless drug lord, bartender Alexander Harris has found refuge at the Bronze Arrow in New York City. A sophisticated and select bar that seeks to redefine luxury, the Bronze Arrow also happens to be a front for the Colo crime family—in which Alex’s current boss, Elias Foster, is a high-ranking lieutenant. Even though further involvement with the criminal underworld is the last thing he needs, Alex is drawn to the strangely shy, undeniably gorgeous and decidedly dangerous Elias. What’s worse is Elias appears to be equally interested in him. Despite Alex’s attempts to keep their lives separate, the two become entangled both above and beneath the sheets. When Alex’s past catches up with him, will he continue to run? Or will he play by the rules of Elias and his felonious family?

Alex is hiding from a drug lord, a very bad man. On the run he tumbles headlong into another very questionable man, Elias. He definitely shouldn’t be working for him, or kissing him.
This book bordered on instalove. Alex and Eli had some spicy times which took up a good portion of the book. The story didn’t have a lot of depth but I liked the characters. Alex was a good guy thrust into a bad situation. Eli was a bad guy, but with one notable exception, there wasn’t much evidence of that.
This story was easy to read and I read it very quickly. It seemed shorter than it actually was and I was disappointed that it wasn’t really resolved. I would read a continuation of their story.
