The smaller bits are lovely as always and the longer storylines are all bangers. I loved getting to meet new characters such as Ode and the goblins; the prison outfits are super cute and the change of setting is always a plus. I was also unreasonably hyped to finally see the origin of the Momonga roasting over a spit gif.

Slots was a great and imaginative section, giving new interactions with characters and adding a little more to Momonga’s character at the end.

The Black Shooting Star had me thinking my website was bugged initially when I kept seeing the same panels lol, very unintentionally meta for that to happen as I’m reading what’s effectively a Groundhog Day plot. Super cute to see the endless hangout/sleepover as Chiikawa tries to navigate being stuck in a loop.

This volume instills joy and was a great distraction on a rough day.
