Rate this book
Harlow was a mother who wanted nothing more than the best for her daughter Melody and it seemed as if her baby father wanted the opposite. Promising to stay away from the bad boys but she realized looks could be deceiving. Could this move be for the better or worse? Find out if Harlow will make it as a single mother in Thugg’nville.

Harmony was only supposed to be moral support for when her sister Harlow needed. She was so focused on going back home to find herself that she didn’t see how quickly things changed when she met a shit talking bull rider who gave her more than what she bargained for.

Beau Brix was not your average businessman; he was a country farmer who turned everything into a profit. His daughter Xoey was the only one that held his heart for so long, but will a city girl come along and capture it?

Duke DaGreat was a poly player who was looking for one more lady to rope into his rodeo. When he thinks he’s found the one, she gives him a ride that he wasn’t prepared for. Balancing women, competing in rodeo’s, dealing with an ex that will try to destroy him, and hiding a secret, will it cause him to crash out? Saddle up your horses and take a ride to Thugg’nville.

I honestly tried to give this book a chance, but I didn't enjoy it. I like to see books through, but this one I just couldn't, and it ended up on the DNF list. The writing style just didn't work FOR ME. I would have enjoyed a separate book about his brother and her sister instead of including in this one, multiple POVs and storylines in one book just do too much. Also, this was more thug driven than country living, and I just didn't enjoy it. I gave it 2 shots.... stopped at 38% the first time, then 68%.... just wasn't for me.

Good storyline but rushed

I loved the story and the character development. I hate that the ending was rushed all of a sudden. It also didn’t make any sense. Leaving us to question a lot. A part of me wants to read part 2 but I’m sure it’s going to be months before that happens. I hate cliffhangers like this.

Pretty bad writing with lots of spelling and grammatical errors along with bad storytelling make Deeply In Love With A Country Thug a boring read. B. Monaye should've followed other writers in the genre, giving us a story about Harlow and Beau Brix, introducing Harlow's sister Harmony and Beau's brother Duke in the story, but keeping the focus on Harlow and Beau, then give us a book about Harmony and Duke. A lot happens in just 152 pages and none of it is really fleshed out, it's just ideas and internal dialogue, then another major event that's not fully developed. I wouldn't recommend this book and I am not reading book 2.

Spice Rating: 2/5

Content Warnings:
Graphic: Sexual content
Moderate: Cursing, Gun violence, and Abandonment
Minor: Child abuse, Drug use, Infidelity, and Toxic relationship

NOW WHY WOULD YOU END THIS BOOK LIKE THAT! UGH.

I need part 2 IMMEDIATELY cause I just knew the tea was about to start brewing! I just need my girl Harlow to get it together chilllllllle!! And Chris can literally KICK ROCKS!!

I was so invested and I’m glad there were different POVs so I was able to hear what everyone had to say. Sometimes you have to guess what folks are feeling but not with this book!! I been wanting me a black cowboy book for sooo long and I’m glad the ranch and the horses were incorporated the way they were. I hope to see a lot more of that to really set the scene of the cowboy lifestyle!

I can’t wait for the next one to come outtttt!

Insanity and chaos

Let me start off by saying that this book is nothing if not entertaining. It’s almost nonstop shenanigans and chaos, with a whole lot of side checks and craziness, but it definitely holds your interest.
We meet Harlow at a low point with her baby daddy putting their daughter at risk. She decides, along with her sister Harmony, to start over and choose to go to the country. She’s hoping for a less chaotic life for her and her daughter. Finding a new man is not even in the equation.
Beaux is an ex felon who’s trying to do right by his daughter and his family. He’s trying to turn his life around and go the legal route but there are many obstacles in his path. Meeting Harlow, realizing that their girls are the same age and attend the same school just seems like fate. Except Harlow is leery of starting anything new with anyone, especially anyone that has done anything illegal.
Then you add in Beaux’s brother Duke brung attracted to Harlow’s sister Harmony and it’s gets more confusing and more chaotic.
This book ends on a cliffhanger, so be prepared for that. Also, there are a lot of grammar issues within this book that make reading/following the story challenging. Some sentences require you to figure out where the punctuation goes because none is present. Again, I read and finished the book but just know, going in, that you’ll be reading and editing as you go.

I ended up giving this book at 3.75/5. I was definitely entertained and am looking forward to reading the next one but at the same time it was a little predictable. Not that I'm complaining because most romances are. Harlow ends up leaving her home and business in Chicago to move to Louisiana for a fresh start. She loses custody of her daughter after a very irresponsible decision her ex made. Once she gets her daughter back she tries to put as much distance between her and her ex as possible and cuts all ties.

Harlow vows that she's done with relationships and is only focused on making a better life for her and her daughter... we all know that when it comes to romance novels that that vow is one that is short lived. Insert Beau with his country accent, grills, and irresistible appeal. Beau is in a situationship but is quickly captivated by Harlow. That breaks get slammed on that situationship super fast. Beau and Rae's daughters form a fast friendship that brings both families together very quickly.

There is also Harmony, Harlow's younger sister, that moves to Louisiana to help Harlow and her niece get settled. She ends up running to Duke, Beau's brother, who is currently in a poly relationship with three women and looking for a fourth. And Harmony considers herself somewhat of a playa but poly is something that Harmony isn't into.

There was something that threw me off (and sometimes I can be a fast reader and may have missed it) but I don't remember it ever being revealed to the sisters that Beau and Duke were brothers. It just seemed to be a thing that they just knew when they happened to all get together at the same time.

I'm very interested to see how things play out with Harlow and Beau after what happened with Beau and Tesa. Also, Duke isn't as clean as he portrayed himself to be. He found himself in an intense situation at the end of the book. And of course there was Chris and his birthday surprise. I will definitely be on the lookout for the second book.

Must Read!!!!

Chris showed he was a scandalous and trifling ass n***a from the beginning. Harlow had all rights to leave him after he allowed their nine year daughter Melody to get caught up in the system because he was careless. The fact he act like he didn't just made it worse. Beau might be country but there's a beast hidden behind his southern way's. When he told how he got caught up. It wasn't hard to figure out Chris was the one who snitched on him after connected him and Harlow past. I'm surprised Harlow and Beau didn't figure out they had a common dislike for the same person. Tesa need to carry her ass on somewhere. Her and Beau wasn't in a relationship so far her to come at Harlow crazy and act like that over Beau was delusional. Beau probably should've told Harlow he did more than farming because I had a feeling it was going to backfire and it did. Harmony needed to end things with Demarcus because what he did just to get her attention showed he had some stalking and crazy hidden in him. Duke and his poly relationship's with Cali, Dallas, and Cassidy don't seem all the happy and healthy. Then his trifling and deadbeat baby momma/estranged wife Nellie have popped up out the blue after leaving him with their two daughters seven year's prior. I think Chris is the dude who Nellie is missing with. I see her becoming a problem for Duke. Duke hooking up with Harmony and hiding what's going on with the other women in his life won't stay hidden for long. Harmony already found out about Nellie weird ass. I can only imagine how she's going to act finding out about the other's. Duke should've peeped that something was off with J-Smoove. Especially when he took that meeting and Cali told him something wasn't right because now he's in a situation he might not be able to get out of. I know him and Beau father is going to be pissed off and embarrassed.

This books stars off with the crazy and chaos!!!!! When I tell you all the crazy and miss matched worlds come together to make this story come off the pages. I was entertained the entire book. Starting over in a new place and focusing on yourself and your baby you should have known love was right around the corner. Harlow and Beau coming together for the girls only for Harmony and Duke to have a little thang as well. I loved the relationship the sisters had and then for the siblings getting together. I was not expecting a man with a poly relationship to me looking for a fourth. Then where the Ex come from? There are so many moving parts in the story and so many questions I have that needs answering but I’m sure everything will come to light in book two. That girls being best of friends is the cutest thing. Chris and his audacity was crazy work and his momma where they get that lady from? The book ends on a cliffhanger and I hope it jumps right back in.

nice very nice

Omg I’m so ready for book 2 this series is gonna be lit. Hallow is catching a little hell from the babydaddy, did his butt escape from prison. Harmony needs to get it together and let that ex go. My boy Duke let his homeboy get him caught up and I think that wife of his had something to do with it too. I hope Duke can get outta this cause this is harassment and they need to get paid with all these people throwing their names out there. U did good on the first book I read of urs. Sitting here patting my feet while sipping on Pepsi and while eating popcorn while waiting on the next book to read

Part 2 Please!!!!

Part 2 is all I need like right now! This was the best country urban I’ve read thus far!!!!

I was thinking that Beau was the connect but wasn’t so sure! However I’m loving Harlem and Beau relationship!! Pray it works out..

Now Harmony and Duke, I hope she is the one to change his ways. She’s going to have issues with his other women but can’t wait to see what that outcome is!

As for Duke he has definitely got himself in some mess, but the best friend is what did it for me… He so wrong for setting him up!!!

Now for that baby daddy Chris!!!! Yeah I hope he gets his pay back cause how he got his daughter taken was not on!!!

Quick Okay Fast paced Read

Besides the rushed story line and the spelling and grammatical errors, Deeply in Love with a Country Thug was an okay book that left a lot of unanswered questions. The ending didn’t make a lick of sense to me because how and when did Harlow’s toxic baby daddy get out of prison and how did he know where Beau lived to even know that his daughter and Harlow was even there? Like I said rushed and too many unanswered questions. This book had mad potential to be a 5 ⭐️ read if only the author took the time to map out the characters, plot, settings, problems and solutions better.

All hell is about to break loose…

Yes things just got real interesting. Harlow relocated to the country after resolving the predicament that her baby daddy Chris placed her and their daughter in for a fresh start. Her sister Harmony made the move with her ti help he out until she got settled into her new life. During this time Harlow and Harmony both met Beau and Duke who are brothers in the town they settled in. Of course drama has followed both couples so far and that cliffhanger left me in a chokehold. I can’t await until part 2 drops to see how things pick up..

Get Ready‼️

Deeply in love with a Country Thug follows 4 people. So yes there are 4 POV’s we love a GOODT multiple POV over here. Harlow, Harmony, Duke and Beau. Harlow and Harmony find themselves moving to the boot for a change….. and they meet some down south chocolate cowboys.

There is SSSSOOOOOOOO MUCH to unpack in this roller coaster of a ride. From the very first page to the ending…. I did not see that ending coming. I need more it’s short but there is so much plot in those pages.

This was my first read by B. Monaye and it DEFINITELY won’t be my last.

conflicted

150 pages is not enough for 4 different POV. The description is Harlow & Beau but their siblings Duke & Harmony are carrying the story.
I think the author got harlow/harmony name mixed up in certain scenes.
Along with one page says their mom is Honesty Hart but another page says Charity Hart.

These are just YNs with cowboy boots/hats. Not necessarily cowboys.

I feel like so much effort is put into creating the country dialogue & over explaining the plot is lost.

& It’s a cliffhanger so now I have to read the next one

Deeply In Love With A Country Thug

Wait a minute! I was clutching my invisible pearls the entire time! Harlow & Melody has been through a lot & to start over was a huge step! Harmony, to me, didn’t seem to be the screw up she just needed to find herself. Beau was BDE, single father on the hustle to do right LEGALLY! I can’t believe Duke was basically the plug! Where did Chris even come from! The was too much but not enough like WTF!!!!

Loved It

Wow, fast paced from start to finish. I'm enjoying the brothers and sisters getting together! I knew Chris would be trouble! Duke need to come clean with Harmony as does Beau with Harlow. I love how the girls are getting along. Enjoying the family dynamics, but I wish that the brother's father would get over himself! Need part 2, as I know Beau isn't going to sit down until Harlow and all others are okay.

I attempted to read this book but ultimately marked it as a DNF. While some readers may appreciate its style, I found it to be on the childish side. The naming for the streets and cities were difficult for me to engage with and a bit cringy. The over use of country slang didnt seem natural to me. It’s was too forced so that we know this is the trope going for. It's clear this book has its audience, but unfortunately, it wasn’t for me.

It’s always something

I love the characters in this book and couldn’t stop reading it. In this book drama surrounded everyone. Now Chris is a dummy that needs a @$$ whipping for his mess and I am ready to read the next part to see how Harlow and Beau come out and how Duke fairs in all his secrets.

Great read

First I just want to say not too much on android phones lol. My phone cost just as much as an iPhone. Okay so back about the book. I loved the flow of the book. The surprises I didn't see coming, I was actually thinking the events were going to fold a different way. You did an awesome job can wait to read the next book.

This a quick read that kept me intrigued from the beginning. I will say that I didn’t really get the country vibes that I was looking for. It does have some country elements though. I also loved how the author would have the characters talk in country slang & then put the pronunciation or meaning in parenthesis because not everybody is country & would understand our dialect.

Love it

Oh my gosh, this book has me on the edge of my seat! When did Chris finally get released from prison? I can’t believe Duke got arrested—someone needs to fill his women in on the news! And Harlow is ready to bail on Beau, lol! I’m counting down the moments until I can dive into book 2. The drama is absolutely on fire! 🔥🔥
