The hunt is on…

After facing down a new, enhanced Valtukta who can heal faster than Dax and his crew, they retreat to the furthest known corner of our galaxy. Saving the life of Bleeze will come at a cost. The cost of a favor to a Caretaker of a mining colony whose shiny and perfect exterior is little more than a thin veil covering a sinister underbelly.

Alliances are strengthened, bounties are raised, and more than one ship decides to follow the Junkyard into the void. While traveling through a Dark Matter minefield, Dax and Kane learn the hard way about what happens if an ancient weapon is structurally compromised. While temporarily getting the bounty hunters off their tails, Mark's pilot skills are pushed to the limit in order to outrun a black hole.

Now with every bounty hunter, along with an entire empire on their tail, the Junkyard’s crew is forced to pick up the pace. Did their bug weapon work? How much longer will their bucket of bolts hold together? Is their A.I. really as helpful as it appears to be?

Grab a copy of War Tide to see how the galactic scoundrels plan to continue their fight against their still largely unknown enemies. How their Earth Science holds up to alien bio-weapons and if they can continue to keep a step ahead of their pursuers.

A bit disjointed

The story progresses somewhat, but how it gets there is not a logical sequence
At times, it seems to be jumping from one storyline to another and back again, but it gets there in the end
A few surprises along the way and something tells me there are more surprises yet to come, especially relating to the teams enhancements.
It's good enough, but could be better

War Tide - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

The great Starship Bandits series by Ross Buzzell and Jonathan Yanez continues with War Tide.

'Star bandits' Dax, Kane, Sandrina and young pilot-recruit Mark, escape from capture in their AI-run starship, Junkyard,
with trader Decombres' help.
Allying with Ruthnar and the Broken Shield warriors, they prepare to fight their mutual enemies the Valtakuntera.
Yet even with new technology, weapons and intel from all the alien races they encounter, the team's bravery and daring may not be enough to save the galaxy.

Great characters, (I especially love PITA the snarky android dog) lots of witty banter between Dax and Kane, (often at Mark's expense) and the team's ability to find skin-of-their-teeth ways to survive, makes Jonathan Yanez and Ross Buzzell's fast-moving action saga Starship Bandits: War Tide, one that deserves pride of place on your sci-fi bookshelf.
A must for fans of Guardians of the Galaxy and Star Wars - grab your copy today and tell all your fellow fans and friends!

The series continues with both expected and unexpected happenings cropping up. New friends and old enemies are involved. Lots of adventure and action. An all-around fun space opera and this one includes more soap opera as the events unfold. Recommended, but start with the first book of the series. P.S. this one has the best cover art of the series to this point.

Lost 2 stars for NOT writing a Recap.

I think every reader needs to start doing this to force authors to write a quick Recap chapter, which readers can skip if they remember, and those who don't won't stop reading the series.
