Podunk

This gritty novel begins when a guy named Cowboy gets off a Greyhound bus in Podunk, Nebraska, and meets a girl named Seldom. It’s safe to say they hit it off immediately, so much so that when the bus leaves again Cowboy isn’t on it. Seldom is unlike any woman that he’s ever met—she hangs out in the men’s room and smokes pink birthday cake candles—but she has a few He can’t have sex with her, and for as long as he remains in town, he’ll need to do a few things for her to earn his keep. Soon enough, her rules will draw him into a world ruled by Seldom’s A world of drugs, sex, and danger that exists right underneath this small Nebraska town, where nothing—not even Seldom—is exactly what it seems to be. Cowboy finds himself drawn to it at the same time that Seldom begins to think of leaving it. She wants him to come with her, but Cowboy learns the hard way that getting out of Podunk isn’t as easy as it seems.

This was a fantastically unique story featuring love and drugs with interesting characters and relationships. This book wasn't predictable and had a couple plot twists. I really enjoyed it and couldn't put it down.
