One choice. Two worlds. Endless consequences.

In a world where magic reigns supreme, Margaret is the odd one out. Unable to conjure even the simplest spells, she's a disappointment to her powerful witch parents. But when peer pressure leads her to tamper with forces beyond her comprehension, Margaret inadvertently transports herself and her friends to a world where magic is a death sentence.

Now, stranded in a world where her abilities mark her as target, Margaret's only desire is to return home. But with her lack of magical prowess, the journey seems impossible. Teaming up with a local boy, they embark on a treacherous adventure, navigating through hostile environments and dangerous creatures.

As the chance to return home emerges, Margaret faces a heart-wrenching save the newfound world and its inhabitants or abandon it to reunite with her old life. With destinies intertwined and consequences looming, Margaret's single choice will shape her fate forever.

Margaret has always been a disappointment. Her parents are powerful witches, yet she’s unable to tap into her own magic. After she succumbs to peer pressure and tempts forces she cannot control, she and her friends find themselves transported to an entirely different world, where she’s forced to make the ultimate choice—stay in this new world and make it better, or return home to where she doesn’t quite fit in.
Ms. Stuntz has created a fascinating world. There’s magic, fear, isolation, friendship, and more. The true meaning—learning to love and accept yourself—plays a powerful role in Margaret’s character development. She meets some wonderful—and dangerous—people in her journey.
This is an entertaining book, so if you enjoy stories about witches, give it a try.
