Young widow. Innkeeper. Accidental Crimebuster. Jenna inherits a charming but failing bed-and-breakfast, but for a talented accountant, running an inn that is nearly bankrupt doesn’t fit into the tidiness of a balance sheet. Her fresh start is overcome by an avalanche of details that she’s powerless to stop.
And nothing in her accounting background prepared her for a surly landscaper who challenges her every decision and still somehow ends up in her thoughts.
Her psychic, sensitive nature, a quiet, uncanny pull she could never explain, extends to the portrait of Nettie Wyndham, her husband’s ancestor, and stirs Jenna’s unusual sensitivity in unsettling ways.
To add to the complexities in her life, rumors swirl about a missing embezzler, and after a guest disappears, Jenna finds the guest’s body. As she follows her extraordinary intuition to unravel the twisted connections between the murder and the embezzlement, Jenna gets too close to the truth.
When the killer stalks her, Nettie’s watchful eye may be the only warning she gets.
Jenna is single save the inn. The killer is single kill Jenna.

Perfect not a cozy mystery but not a thriller with constant tension! I love all of your books and have read almost all of them, the Danger books with Angel and Red I have read the entire series 3 - 4 times,; that doesn't include the individual reads as the came out. All of the series are just enough different that you don't feel like reading the same story with only name changes. I pray the Lord will keep blessing you with wonderful ideas and storylines and thank you for excellent editing!
It's an fair mystery but is overshadow by the personal stories of the characters. The mystery is almost an afterthought. Good if you just want a cozy story.
