Heartbeat is a romance book intended for Mature Young Adult / New Adult ages 18+. It is written in the third person narrative.
In this book we meet Alex and Connor. Alex is completing her residency at Boston Medical Institute were she meets Dr. Connor Wu. Connor is not looking for anything more than the casual hookup. Alex is the relationship type of girl. Heartbeat wonderfully tells their story.
I had a little trouble getting into the story in the beginning but I am glad I continued reading because it was a good book. I enjoyed reading this book and would recommend it.

Doctor Conner has sexy gray eyes, tall and talented. He has many female friends and you never see them twice. He is a love ‘em and leave ‘em kind of guy. Alex assists Dr. Connor in the operating room, she’s new to town. It’s been a while since Alex had the warm feeling of a loving man. Dr. Connor approaches her with his love ‘em, leave ‘em policy, but Alex does not believe in that, but can she deny the sexy gray eyed man?

I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I give this book a 4 star. I like that fact this is a single book and not a series. If you like Grey's Anatomy, you will like to book. It's sweet and fun. The story is well written and good characters development.

I liked this book. It was fun and sexy. Connor was Hott and strong and passionate. It wasn't full of to much drama ...no big explosive moments. I might read it again and would recommend it for anyone who likes romance in the workplace.
