Wonderful history on the ancient British people. How Rome came in and took over, but slowly afterwards left as they came in. How the Briton peoples went back to their ancient roots, some anyway, not all, but enough to keep their ways in the know. Very interesting and fascinating history of these ancient British peoples.

After the Roman, but before the Angles, Saxons, Jutes, and Vikings, there were the Celts of Cornwall, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland, and the Britons, who founded the many kingdoms Wessex, Sussex, Essex, Mercia, Anglica, and Kent. These led to a unified England under the Normans. The end of Roman rule, the Scotgish and Welsh nation, and the shift to England are well covered.

This was an interesting read. It gave me a new look at the British people and culture that I hadn't been exposed to before. There were a few typos, but nothing to distracting or serious. Some of it was quite repetitive, which was kind of distracting and aggravating.
