Kat Summers is a millennial spicy contemporary romcom author living in Tennessee. Kat has had a love for reading and writing her entire life. She grew up on The Royal Diaries Series (IYKYK) and rediscovered her love of the written word sitting on a beach on her honeymoon. After consuming what some would call way too many books, she decided to take the stories she told herself to fall asleep and put them on paper.

When she isn't writing, she can be found reading and spending time with her family and furbaby or out gossiping with the girls over margs and queso. I believe this was my first Kat Summers book and I think I’m addicted. This spicy novella it the spot. It was like reading a hallmark movie but they didn’t leave out the spice.

Mia has been with her boyfriend for 10 years and honestly I don’t know who. He’s the worst. Mia finally realizes what a dud this guy is and not only does she break up with him while he’s on a guy’s trip she packs up and moves to another country for a job.

When Mia gets to the resort she will be working at she literally has a run in with the hot handyman, Jamie. Jamie isn’t sad about it. When Jamie find out Mia has a naughty list he offers to help her with it 😏

An adorable wintery read with low-angst, enough spice to keep the fire roaring and fun characters. Jamie is top tier book boyfriend material. Mia and Jamie perfectly complimented each other. My only complaint is that I wish this story was longer because it was so dang delightful. Kat’s writing is 🤌🏼🤌🏼 and she will forever be on the nice list. If you are looking for a winter/Christmas quick read, cozy up and enjoy this festively fun book.

I cannot wait to check back into Sugar Peak!

I am in love!!! This was so freaking cute and I want so much more. Everything about this had me wishing it was Christmas already.
We first meet Mia Ricci, she just broke up with her lame ass boyfriend, and is dying for her life to change. She gets an offer to plan events for a resort in Canada and she grabs it by the balls. Next we meet Jamie Geller, he is head of maintenance and finally ready to settle down. he takes permanent residency at the resort Mia just got hired at. When Jamie’s pup Crosby (amazingly named after NHL star) tackles Mia right into Jamie’s arms sparks fly.

The chemistry between Mia and Jamie was hot! I loved it all, they had so much tension within the first page of meeting. I loved how Jamie went after Mia right away and she happily allowed it. I loved how they got the know each other without even knowing it. It made their story better.

I wish their story was longer, I wanted to know more about their backgrounds and have their relationship build over more time or the timeline was longer. Overall I still ate this up and recommend this to everyone who wants to get in the christmas spirit.

A fun little runaway to the mountains, cute dog, smitten handyman, woman who finally realises her worth and a spicy little twist on a naughty list!

I had a lovely time on Sugar Peak, as did Jamie and Mia. I am a sucker for he falls first and for an MMC who doesn’t like Christmas until the FMC makes it fun so this ticked a lot of my boxes.

I feel like I would have loved to have seen more of the couples downtime so you can really see them fall in love but I was still satisfied with the story Kat told.

Mia, after years of waiting for a ring, coupled with boring, unfulfilling sex, finally leaves her deadbeat boyfriend and escapes to a luxurious winter resort in Canada to work as an event planner. She makes a list of naughty sexual experiences she wants, which is discovered by the hot as Hades, maintenance man, Jamie - who is also completely apethetic towards Christmas. They decide to keep things exclusively casual as he helps her flick the Christmas baubles off her list - and as she convinces him that Christmas is truly the most wonderful time of the year. As their situationship heats up in the Canadian cold, will they be able to continue being casual as the season comes to an end?

This is a short, cute, fluffy read that served as an excellent palate cleanser. I love the “naughty list” trope and Kat Summers did not disappoint. Plus, Jamie is super swoony, making Mia’s list ALL ABOUT HER and Mia, with Jamie’s encouragement, starts being more honest with herself and asking for what she wants and deserves.

The only thing that took me out of the story were the mentions of characters that appeared nowhere else in the novella. Perhaps, Trevor, her NFL friend who may or may not have taught her to throw, appears in a previous book? If so, a new reader to Kat would have no idea who these people are…

BUT if you want a bubbly, spicy holiday novella, pick up A Naughty List for Christmas.

What a perfect way to kick off the Christmas season and a whole series! This isn't my first Christmas novella that I've read so far but, this was the one that made me feel like Christmas can start now! (possibly because I read it at the end of November...but IT WAS GLORIOUS)
Mia and James were perfect. Found love and a relationship despite Mia only being at Sugar Peaks resort for a short time.
I was happy to see Mia get out of her dumbass relationship that was going nowhere. Glad she finally saw that and went on to make the most of her life. She really started to live (again) after leaving her smaller than small town and moving out of the country. Her mom was a little toxic too.
Jamie was top tier. AND HE HAS A DOG. So, of course, sign me the f up. I was immediately down for him when he was up for Mia's naughty list and wanted to support her and build her confidence.
Side note thank you to his buddy Spencer for enlightening Jamie on the miscommunication trope and telling him to go talk to his girl, after Stephen showed up to Sugar Peak. The grand gesture was everything.

A Naughty List for Christmas is a short holiday novella that I finished in one sitting! I enjoyed every single second of this novella and was wishing for more by the end. Mia has just gotten out of a 10 year long relationship and has moved to Canada for a new job opportunity and is trying to find herself again. Jaime has been moving from town to town for years and this is the first year that he accepted a long term position that is more than just a season.

Mia and Jaime’s meet cute had me giggling and kicking my feet in glee. Through this entire book I was laughing, giggling, and blushing. Jaime was all man and was up for the challenge of tackling Mia’s naughty bucket list and wanted nothing more than to show her how a man should treat a woman. I loved the aspect of Jaime being the grinch and not celebrating Christmas so Mia takes on the challenge of making him fall in love with Christmas. These two were perfect for each other and complemented each other perfectly. Jaime was perfect inside the bedroom and outside of the bedroom I enjoyed every single one of their interactions.

If you love workplace romance, holiday novellas, grinchy blue collar MMC, no-strings attached spicy lessons then this book is for you!

This Kat Summers Novella follows Mia, who needs a “reset” on her love life. She takes a leap and decided to take a new job in a new country and BAIL on her hometown. When she gets to her new job, she bumps into Jamie and his adorable dog.

One evening, Mia decides to make a particularly suggestive Christmas to do list for herself. Naturally, before she can hide the list, someone else gets a peek of said list.
In this fast paced Novella, Jamie is up to the task of helping Mia complete her list thoroughly. While completing the list, they spend more time together and start to fall for each other. Will this last through the holiday season? Will it be able to continue Past Mia‘s short term job she acquired?

This was a good truly Christmasy novella to read to get into the holiday spirit. If you need a quick little read, that is high on the spice, this book would be an excellent choice. Although it short, there is character development, which is always good to see in shorter books.

There were some great references to movies through the book and other pop culture items, so that is always enjoyable to see when properly referenced!

Imagine being in a 10 year relationship that you now know is going nowhere, leaving said relationship, fleeing to Canada to get away from your old life and living in the resort you now work at.
Then meeting the hunky head maintenance man who finds your naughty list and propositions to help you check a few things (or all) off your list.😉

This novella is the perfect warm and cozy Christmas-y read! It was so stinking cute and spicy. I love how Jamie knew what he wanted and pursued it. It’s so hot when a man wants to make the woman he’s with feel good even if it’s not reciprocated in that moment. Jamie did everything in his power to do just that! We love a giving king. 🥵 Mia is inexperienced in the bedroom but Jamie didn’t make her feel like she was. He walked her through things to make her feel more comfortable. I love Jamie and Mia so much! Not only do they work on her naughty list together they start working on a Christmas bucket list for him. Add this baby to your TBR now!

Ooooo Kat smashed it again! I love her books and this smexy little Christmas number really did hit the spot.
Mia decides to completely upheave her life after her ex-boyfriend was clearly never going to make the next move in their relationship. Mia takes a job as an events coordinator at a hotel and that’s where she meets the delicious caretaker, Jamie. Jamie happens to see Mia’s cheeky list and is absolutely certain he should be the one to help her complete it.

What’s not to love about this novella? It’s just like watching one of those romance movies on a cozy Saturday afternoon, except you’ve got a delicious, talking handyman who likes to say “baby” and other things such as: “you’re going to love how stuffed you are…” Jamie is honestly 🥵🥵🥵

Poor Mia. I really felt for her and her situation. Many women (and people) get bumbled along by partners and you feel like you’ve wasted your life. I can totally see why she upped and left. I loved how independent she was and how she used the time to find herself.

I cannot express how much I loved this book and I look forward to more from Kat 💕

Being new to this author's work I've been so looking forward to getting into her books! When I saw a post for this story I immediately wanted to read it. I picked it up as soon as I could and to Sugar Peak Resort I went! I so enjoyed this story!

Mia and Jamie's journey pulled me in quickly! Mia is taking control of her life and starts working at Sugar Peak Resort and Spa. She creates a naughty bucket list. Jamie works at the Resort and collides with Mia in memorable fashion. When he looks at Mia's list he wants to help her. Can Mia and Jamie check everything off of the list? and could it lead to a Christmas to remember for the two?

I so enjoyed how Mia and Jamie met, that they became coworkers, and how Mia's naughty list brought them closer together. I couldn't wait to see how they'd take on work, Mia's naughty list, all things Christmas, and their feelings for each other.

I admired Mia so much, especially when it came to figuring things out in her life. I adored how Jamie was with Mia. From the list to Christmas, it was great to see these two join forces. They kept me blushing and grinning throughout! Also, I so enjoyed being at the Sugar Peak Resort for the first time!

With A Naughty List for Christmas, Ms.Summers has created such a good Christmas read that brought spice, realness, a blushworthy list, and feels! I am so looking forward to reading more from this author! ❄🎄

I absolutely loved this holiday novella. It is set at a five-star mountain resort in British Columbia, and all the side characters are brilliant. I’m really hoping we get more from them. I’m especially curious about Megan and Spencer, as there is definitely a story there.

Both the main characters were great, but especially Jamie, the MMC. He’s a unicorn of a man. He can and does cook because he enjoys it, has a gorgeous dog, helps you bake Christmas cookies because he knows it’ll make you happy, and is willing to help you with your naughty list because he thinks you deserve all the pleasure you can take. Oh, and it’s always ladies first with this guy… sometimes twice 👌🏻

I loved seeing Mia’s character grow throughout the story. It was refreshing that she didn’t instantly think about marriage.

Even though this is only 158 pages, the emotions these two have for each other are real. Plus the spice? It’s hot!

This was my first book by Kat Summers, but I’m definitely going to read more by her.

Jamie is the true definition of a grinch. He spent years bounced around by his parents, so the holiday festivities are not his thing. That's until his coworker who absolutely loves Christmas comes around.

I adored this book so damn much! I first fell in love with the author's writing when I read her book Broken Chords, and after reading this, I'm even more in love! Mia and Jamie were the best, and I always love a good opposites attract. I was so estastic when Mia finally ditched her ex. He was honestly just holding her back. The whole story flowed so perfectly! It's the perfect novella for the holidays and has just the right amount of spice to the Hallmark cute romance! 🙌😍

Mia is stuck in the doldrums with her boyfriend of ten years, Steven. When she is offered an opportunity to work as events manager at the Sugar Peak resort, she goes for it and finally decides to break up with douchebag Steven.

On her first day, she has an interesting meet-cute with Jamie, hot flannel-wearing mountain man who is also Head of maintenance at the resort. At the urging of her friend/sister-in-law, Mia starts a spicy bucket list which Jamie discovers.

They decide to fulfil the list together and oh boy, Jamie is a great candidate. This part killed it for me: “Taking care of you is intrinsic.” And right after that he fulfills two items in her list. 🔥

This was a quick, sweet and also spicy read. And the ending was also perfect. May the list continue to grow as their relationship continues to develop. Hope to see Mia and Jamie in future books!

I had the honor of reading this before it was released and I absolutely loved it.

Mia is living a routine “normal” life with her boyfriend who is more of a roommate than boyfriend. She is a people pleaser and follows what is expected of her. Yet, she wants more.

Jamie has always been a wanderer due to his family dynamics. His parents were of the free spirit and hippie type that they never stayed in one place for long periods of time that make it difficult for him to have a set of friends.

When Crosby, Jaime’s doggo, takes it upon himself to sniff out the treats Mia has in her coat pocket, Jamie collides with his future.

The novella is short, sweet and spicy. I loved it! Highly recommend!

Naughty list for Christmas

I'm in my Christmas novella era for sure.

Mia is in a relationship with Steven, but the relationship is one sided. She finally has enough and when a job opportunity presents itself she finds herself leaving her small town and going out of the country to Canada.

Enter handyman Jamie who has finally tried to put down some roots at the resort. He's used to being moved around a lot and changing jobs.

Mia and Jamie literally run into each other in the first day. On her first night mia decides to make herself a naughty list, with a Christmas theme. When she can't get her door closed they send maintenance to help.

When mia steps away while Jamie fixes the door and forgets her list is out in the open. I'm sure you can guess how that goes. Everything is going great until Steven shows up at the resort...

WHAT A PERFECT CHRISTMAS ROMANCE! From the beginning I was fully immersed in the story and loved every moment.

We get to meet our FMC, Mia, stuck in her life that has her feeling less than satisfied. She is so relatable so when she is so ready for her next chapter to begin I was rooting for her to finally take control of her life. Which she does at the perfect resort in Sugar Peaks

Our MMC, Jamie, has been a nomad most of his life, full of fun, and brings such a joy to the book even though he may be Mia’s grinch. I loved the way he empowered Mia in all aspects of her life especially in the bedroom

Our hallmark-esp Christmas romance is filled with all kinds of spice especially a bow scene that I may using for inspo 😉🎁

(3.5 stars) The dedication mentions a Hallmark movie with more spice and this hits the mark exactly. It has all the elements of a classic Hallmark Christmas movie - a smoking hot maintenance guy, a small town girl finally living life, a picturesque location, a plot that’s a maybe little ridiculous, and quite a few corny lines to make you cringe with secondhand embarrassment. This is the perfect Christmas read and palette cleanser between heavier reads. It’s light, it’s fun, and it’s festive!

I received an advanced review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. That said, I am not sure if it’s just the advanced copy, but there were a fair number of typos/proofreading errors. Hopefully that is cleaned up for the final version!

It was flirty and spicy and cute and fun. I loved this read. I originally planned to read it at Christmas time but honestly, Christmas in May worked for me. Mia finally realizes her relationship is in a permanent rut with Stephen, who is content getting the milk for free. Packing up and moving to Canada to take a job on a whim, she meets Jamie - a handyman at the resort she's working for. Wanting to fulfill her deepest desires, she makes herself a list of all of the things that she thinks she'd like to try. After helping fix her patio door, Jamie sees the list and helps her tick off each item on her list. Somewhere along the way, they fall for each other. I can't wait to read the rest of this series now because this was such a fun read.

When Mia gets an opportunity to work in a lodge planning events, she breaks up with her awful boyfriend and moves to a small town for an adventure. Mia makes a Christmas list of spicy items to cross off due to her ex being non-satisfactory in that department.

Jamie, the handyman at the lodge, meets Mia and is already enamored. His cute pup, Crosby, even loves her. He knows she’s not ready to date, but when he finds her list he volunteers his services!

While crossing off items from the list, the two fall in love. There is a little miscommunication, but it gets worked out quickly!

I love a quick novella. They are perfect for pallet cleansing, quick entertainment, and the quick connections that maybe I sometimes wish was real life. When I say pallet cleanser, I mean it with the utmost respect. This novella didn’t disappoint. It was an easy read with the fmc who was in transistion and the mmc who didn’t know what hit him. Definitely a Christmas read with some cheer in it!

The spice was fun and a bit different. The plot challenged status quo (a personal fav) all while building up a wholesome experience. I’m definitely interested in the next couple to come out of Sugar Peak!

I can't say how much I loved this book! It was a quick little Christmas read. Perfect for someone who's ever craved starting over in a new town. I personally have this craving all the time. I can't blame her for wanting to leave her piece of crap boyfriend. The worst kind of man. And it lead her to the perfect one.

Our handyman bad boy who was enthralled by the beautiful new event planner. Even his pup found his new favorite person. This story was so stinking cute! I love love love it. I can't wait to see what else is in store for this cute little small town. I had so much fun following this story. Plus I can't wait to see what else is in store for these two.

Go read it if you want to have some holiday cheer. One of this seasons recommendations.

The dedication says it all. “To everyone who watched a Hallmark movie and wished it had a little (a lot) more smut” well Kat hit the nail on the head with that!

A quick Christmas and even winter read! Although it’s cold in the winter, this book has enough spice to keep you nice and warm. As always Kat’s detailed writing makes you feel like you are right there with the characters, and going through all the things with them.

This book focuses on Jamie and Mia. Mia is looking for a change of scenery and a place to start over and Jamie is there waiting to make all of her dreams come true.

The Sugar Peak series is going to be good and I can’t wait to read it!

My first Kat Summers book, and this spicy little novella was just what I needed.

Mia Rocco, stuck in a dead end red flagged relationship decides to turn her world upside down and take a risk and move to the mountains for a job. Thanks to her sister in law (Rory) for recommending her and also advising her to write a ‘Naughty List’ she starts living.

She is knocked (literally) head over heels for Jamie Geller by his adorable canine Cosby. He later finds her list and takes the opportunity to make her an offer she can’t refuse.

Filled with so much spice, and twists and turns, this novella is sure to make you feel sweaty!!

This book was. Fuckin. Adorable.

Omg I was giggling left and right. It’s a novella - super quick read - but I loved every single page. I was screaming at homegirl to breakup with her man and to run away and she listened to me lmao.

Once she got to the Sugar Peak Resort? BAMM. Meets her new man thanks to his dog. This was totally just like a Christmas Hallmark movie and I loved it! You literally can’t hate on this book, it’s so cute. I def wish we got more focus on the build up of emotions rather than them getting straight into bed, but that’s a me thing so I totally get it. This was supposed to be fun, and they had a blast!
