She’ll need a plan, and a ton of money to facilitate their move to the human world. But a rival Mer who wants to claim her as his bride, a significant lack of seed money, and a few pesky human rules are standing in her way. Can Delphine push herself and her visions further than they’ve ever gone before to save her people, or will her great mer kingdom meet its end?
Blood Heritage
Join Draven on his twentieth birthday as he finally becomes a vampire and takes the mantle of the Denholm Heir.
His first task? Prove his abilities and worthiness.
But Draven’s ambitions are lofty, even for the power-hungry vampire race. Will his ambitions jettison him into the ranks of the revered, or will they be his undoing?
Dante & Calliope
This shifter fairy tale, told in the style of The Princess Bride, follows a young couple who find each other irresistible, yet they are at impossible odds.
What is keeping them apart, and what lesson does Lady Victoria Dracul wish her children, Kol and Tatiana to learn through such a story?
In Cinders
Ella is a phoenix shifter who has yet to shift. When her widower father finds a new bride, she’s reluctant to accept the change. But change proves to be too much when the night of his wedding, her father has a heart attack and dies. Ella is reeling from the loss, but her step-mother and step-sisters are determined to carry on--with or without her.
In Cinders is a fairy tale retelling of Cinderella, set in the victorian South of the Shifter Academy world.
Jesse Booth is a USA Today Bestselling Author. He works as an IT Professional. He grew up along the Wasatch Front, but lived a couple of years in Washington State.
Jesse's parents helped him harness a love for books at a very young age. He started writing for fun in the second grade. His very first piece was a continuation of the Soup series by Robert Newton Peck. Fully illustrated by Jesse, it was called Soup on Water.
Jesse's older brother introduced him to Redwall by Brian Jacques, and the series set the foundation for Jesse's love for the Fantasy genre. Jesse then delved into Lloyd Alexander's Chronicles of Prydain.
Since then, Jesse has become an avid fan of JRR Tolkien's The Lord of the Rings, and Orson Scott Card's Ender and Shadow series'. Most recently, Jesse's discovered a new favorite author: Brandon Sanderson.
Jesse has written twenty novels, as well as many short stories and poems.
Also a musician, Jesse plays the piano, guitar, and alto saxophone. He writes music on a contractual basis.
What can I say about Jesse's short story? It was amazing! His descriptions were on point, and it painted a picture for me. I didn't want Blood Heritage to end! Even though it was six chapters, it had me hooked from beginning to end. However, it wasn't clear which period it took place in, and I had a hard time placing the timeline. But other than that, it blew me away.
This collection of back stories related to the shifter academy was truly perfect for my busy day! Many times when I read a series there are characters or situations that seem like they should or could be highlighted and this collection fit the bill. Definitely glad to have read this series and I believe all PNR or fantasy readers would enjoy this immensely. All my reviews are always voluntarily written.
I loved these four stories. I enjoyed the backstroke on each character that I've met or read about in the Shifter Academy series. All well written and enjoyable.
I loved these short stories. They give great in site into what has gone on before the shifter academy books started. How Draven became a vampire and how he became the leader of the vampire school. There are a couple of more stories I will let you discover for yourself.
