This is a placeholder pre-order date. The book will be brought in to an earlier date once it's ready.

A rogue with no home to go to, Wyatt's made it through to the next round of the notorious Alpha Games, a brutal competition where the fiercest wolf shifters compete to win a pack of their own. Not here to make friends, Wyatt has his eyes firmly on the prize, and not the annoyingly attractive she-wolf who's arrived on the arm of another alpha to enjoy the show.

Ellie's got plans. Become Luna. A handsome alpha. Lots of pups. None of those plans involve her fated mate, and they definitely don't include a dark and brooding rogue, and taking on a lawless pack of wolves. And yet... try as she might, she can't stay away. But a man as dangerous and broken as this worth risking it all for? Especially when it seems everyone is determined not to let him win.

Dual POV, high heat, MF, instalove paranormal romance with wolf shifters, fated mates, marking and claiming, strong protective alphas and the women drive them wild.

I love Wyatt!! The gentle giant and the dominant rogue wolf, has two sides, which make him both endearing and exciting to the reader. As the story continues in the Alpha Games, and Wyatt fights to be respected and his opportunity to lead a pack and finally find home. He meets Naomi, one of the last female competitors, who is vying to win to save her sister from a corrupt Alpha.

I loved their story and the continuation through the games, there were high stakes throughout and it really kept the reader interested. I also can’t help but enjoy when we see some of our other beloved characters, e.g. Blake Steel 🫶🏻.

Thank you to the author for the ARC copy. This is my honest review.

P.s. I can’t wait for Jax’s story!

📖: Savage Games: (Alpha Games Book 2)

“𝘜𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘭 𝘮𝘺 𝘭𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘵𝘩, 𝘐 𝘢𝘮 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴."

Wyatt is a rogue wolf with something to prove- to himself and everyone who stands to discriminate against tweakerhose without a pack, who are helpless, or don’t fit in. Earning a position as alpha is everything…Until he met her.

Naomi is competing in the games to keep her sister safe. But the secrets following her may be too dangerous to escape.

Are their fates doomed from the start?

Tropes:
👀Dual POV
💪🏻Fierce FMC
🍞Cinnamon roll MMC
🐺Wolf shifters
🫂Forced proximity
💞Fated mates
🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒Found family
🤫Secrets
🌶️: open door

In this standalone installment, Wyatt, Jamie’s big brother, stands out as the top candidate in the Alpha Games but being a rogue only puts a bigger target on his back. His wolf yearns for the she-wolf who keeps him at a distance. As the games heat up, so does the danger and Wyatt and Naomi must navigate their feelings, ambitions, pack politics, and instincts to protect each other.

Naomi and Wyatt’s interactions are playful and primal and I loved seeing them fight for each other and for the dream of finding a family and pack to call their own. Savage Games delivers an inspiring and emotional fated mates shifter romance. I cannot wait for the next book in this series!

Huge thanks to the author for the ARC copy opportunity. This is my honest and voluntary review.

WYATT I LOVE YOU.

I’ve been so excited about this book after getting glimpses of Wyatt in book 1, and I absolutely loved this continuation of the Alpha Games story in this interconnected series.

Book 1 (Rogue Games) showed us the kickoff of the Alpha Games, a series of challenges that will determine which wolf earns the rights to be an Alpha of their own territory. Wyatt (hi, 7ft tall hunk of shifter) is eager to prove that he’s not the near feral rogue shifter that everyone thinks he is. Naomi is one of the last female wolves left in the Games, and her reason for competing goes beyond a title and some land — reasons she needs to keep secret.

Wyatt and Naomi

Well I didn't really want to read these because they aren't the grey ridge wolves. I'm so in love with Cooper and Rex and yes I will shank anyone for a shot at Alpha Blake Steele. And yeah yeah of course I love their women too.

But the alpha games won me over!!! And I definitely had a soft spot for Wyatt. Such a big teddy bear...no wolf, you know what I mean. Naomi is bad ass, just like Jamie from book one. did she get on my nerves for a minute while she was too worried about her own secrets to pay attention to poor injured Wyatt? YES. but I quickly got over it.

And I can barely wait for Jax's story!!!!!

I tried so hard to stay loyal to Dean… but Wyatt? Wyatt absolutely ruined me. 😭🖤 That grumpy rogue with the softest heart underneath all the growling? Yeah, I fell. HARD.

Savage Games swept me right back into the wild, dangerous, emotionally-charged world of the Alpha Games, and this time we follow Wyatt — the brooding rogue from Rogue Games (Jamie’s brother!) — as he claws his way through the deadly competition, determined to win a pack of his own 🐺. He had no home, no allies, no real chance… and yet he fought like hell. And I cheered for him every single step of the way.

And then there’s Naomi — fierce, loyal, so strategic, and hiding more than her share of secrets 🔥. She’s not here to fall for anyone — she’s here to win, protect her sister, and survive. But when she meets Wyatt… well, fate doesn’t care about your five-year plan. And theirs? It was fated. It was magnetic. It was explosive. 💥💕

Their connection hit me right in the chest — the chemistry, the tension, the stolen glances in the middle of blood-soaked trials. The entire Alpha Games competition backdrop kept the stakes high, with brutal challenges, vicious opponents, and politics that made me want to throw something 😤. And Wyatt? He didn’t just fight for a title. He fought for belonging. For love. For her.

I won’t lie — Naomi got on my nerves for a hot minute when she shut Wyatt out while he was injured (girl, NO), but I also got it. She was scared. She didn’t want to become a burden. And honestly, that made her even more real to me. She wasn’t perfect — but she grew. And Wyatt? He saw right through the walls she built and refused to let her bear it all alone 💔.

Also… can we talk about how Wyatt went to Jamie and Dean for help?? My heart melted. This big, dangerous wolf has no problem asking for backup when it comes to protecting his mate. 🥺💪

The dual POV made this book so much more immersive. Being in Wyatt’s head — with all his rage, longing, and soft protectiveness — was everything. And seeing Naomi struggle between duty and desire broke me in the best way.

If you love:
🐺 Fated mates
🔥 Enemies-to-lovers (kinda… enemies by circumstance?)
🩸 Survival competitions
💔 Found family vibes
🖤 Grumpy x strategic badass
🌕 Protective alpha heroes
🤫 Secret identities & hidden agendas
💥 High heat + emotional damage

…then Savage Games is your next guilty pleasure.

This was paranormal romance comfort food — gritty, intense, emotional, with the perfect mix of violence, vulnerability, and very, very steamy scenes. And that twist at the end?? I’M STILL SCREAMING. 😩👏

Thank you so much to Reece Barden for the ARC! 🙏 Your wolf shifters never fail to wreck me in the best ways. Bring on JAX. I’m ready.

Savage Games delivers an emotionally intense wolf shifter romance between an Alpha female and a dominant rogue wolf. This can be read as a standalone book though reading the other books in the series gives more context for the situation and supporting characters.

The Alpha Games concept provides a thrilling backdrop that keeps the tension high throughout. Wyatt's journey from rogue outsider to potential pack leader is compelling, while Naomi's internal conflict between duty and desire creates genuine emotional stakes. The dual POV structure works beautifully here, allowing readers to experience both the raw determination driving Wyatt and the complex loyalties tearing Naomi apart. The games themselves are brutal and well-choreographed, with each trial revealing more about both characters' true natures. The strength of this premise rests entirely on its compelling leads. Wyatt is the perfect damaged alpha hero—dangerous enough to be exciting but vulnerable enough to be lovable. His backstory as a rogue gives him an edge that sets him apart from typical alpha love interests. He's not just fighting for dominance; he's fighting for belonging. Meanwhile Naomi is no weak-willed heroine. She's strategic, fierce, and refreshingly active in pursuing her goals. Her initial resistance to the mate bond feels authentic rather than frustrating, grounded in legitimate concerns about her and her sister's future.

Overall, Savage Games is paranormal romance comfort food—familiar tropes executed with skill, passion, and just enough innovation to keep things fresh. It's the literary equivalent of a perfect guilty pleasure: you know exactly what you're getting, and it delivers in spades.

I was so excited to get back to the world of the Alpha Games series with Savage Games, Book 2 in this interconnected series.

If you are a fan of paranormal romance with Wolf Shifters, Trials, Strong FMC, Cinnamon Roll MMC, Fated Mates, Hurt/Comfort and so much more, this book is for you!

In Savage Games, we pick right back up after Book 1 Rogue Games but shifting the focus to Wyatt, Jamie’s brother. Wyatt is the lone rogue competing in the games and he is constantly being bullied because of it. But when he locks eyes with Naomi he knows she is his.

Naomi has come to participate in the games to escape the worst Alpha of their pack and a dark secret looming over her and her sister. She immediately knows Wyatt is hers and agrees to work with him so they both advance in the games but she is reluctant to let him in and to know the baggage she carries.

Having been on his own for so long with his sister, he longs to have that connection with Naomi as his mate provides after seeing his sister so happy. He tries to give her space to come to him but my heart ached for him. He is so sweet, even if he is the biggest and a rogue, he will do anything to protect those he loves and just wants to help Naomi.

Naomi tries to keep him at arms length as much as she doesn’t want to, she doesn’t want to hurt him but with Brad, their Alpha, looming around she doesn’t want Wyatt to get hurt.

I just loved how protective of each other they both were and they accepted one another no matter what. Their love was undeniable and their friends and family also backed them up regardless of Wyatt being a rogue.

I can’t wait to see what happens in Book 3, Wild Games as we get Dean’s brother Jax’s story.

This is the second book in the Alpha Games trilogy. You can find my review of the first book, Rogue Games, here.

Wyatt is Jamie's brother from the first book. He is competing in the alpha games to try and win and get his own pack. As a rogue wolf shifter, there are a lot of members there that don't want to see him win. Rogue wolves are looked down on. But the only reason he was a rogue was because he was such a big, alpha shifter and no other pack alpha's wanted him in their pack because they were afraid he would challenge them for the alpha role and win. So because no one would let him in their pack, he had no choice but to be a rogue wolf.

He and his sister Jamie had a rough life but in the first book his sister found her mate and she's safe and happy now. Wyatt just wanted to win these games until he meets Naomi, a female wolf shifter competing in the alpha games in order to win her own pack and keep her sister safe. But as soon as Naomi and Wyatt meet, they know they are mates. They can't let others know right away though because they don't want to be used against each other if some of the others want to cheat and put them in danger.

There's a lot going on with Naomi though and she doesn't want to put all of her problems on Wyatt and make things harder for him. But he finds out what's going on with her and asks his sister and her mate for help which they do.

Wyatt is a great guy. Strong, caring and exactly who Naomi needed.

With every ounce of willpower I had left, I kept my feet rooted to the spot and ignored the primitive instinct to follow her and demand more. To catch my prey and overpower her. To dominate. Because if I had pursued her, if I'd touched her again, it would only end one way: with my teeth buried in her neck.

4.25 stars

Ever since book 1, Rogue Games, I've been excited for the continuation of the Alpha Games and Wyatt's story. Wyatt was the perfect protective and patient alpha, and he was obsessed with his mate Naomi from the first moment they crossed paths. Naomi annoyed me a bit with her constant secrecy and half-truths; I wish she would have simply trusted Wyatt with the truth earlier on. There were also parts of the story where the flow seemed disjointed and certain passages were repeated. Nevertheless, Wyatt and Naomi's romance was filled with unwavering devotion, acceptance, and a mate-bond as deep as Dean and Jaime's. I loved seeing them overcome all of the obstacles working to keep them apart to finally achieve their HEA, and I cannot wait for Jax's book next🖤

Tropes: fated mates, hidden secrets, cinnamon roll hero with a dominant side, heroine-on-the-run, touch her and die, hurt/comfort, forced proximity, competition for pack leadership, alpha politics, found family, SLOW BURN, steamy🔥

I really enjoyed reading Wyatt and Naomi's story! I liked getting to see the others that we've come to know and love from the first book! We even get to see more from Jax! I don't think I knew how things were going to end with this one until it began to unravel. There were not many moments that were slow and not unappealing. I think I have liked this even more than I liked the first book. Naomi and Wyatt were both such great characters, that I devoured this book in no time! I can't wait for the next book in this series!

The spice in this book was nice. There wasn't a lot of it but what was there was good. I'd give it a 3 out of 5. Overall, I give this a 4 out of 5. The story itself was very well told and there didn't feel like there was many lull moments. I really liked getting to see Jaime and Dean again from the outside. Wyatt definitely was living up to his rogue title when it counted. Though there is a lot of discrimination in this book from the other wolves, just like what we've seen in the previous book. I could definitely have done with a little bit less of that but it was still a good read. I would recommend this book and this series to anyone who enjoys shifter books.

I really liked that Wyatt wasn’t your typical jerk alpha male character. I liked his sweetness and gentleness with Naomi.it was refreshing. I also liked that Naomi could hold her own and was a strong character in her own right with believable motivations, strengths and weaknesses. The conflict was well done, it didn’t feel like they were just holding off on mating for no reason. Their issues felt realistic in this setting and the pack relationships/issues were well written. Yes, it’s instalove but in this case I was okay with it. The alpha games were fun to read as well and the epilogue was really sweet.

That being said, I guess I expected more of a show down between Brad and Wyatt and maybe even Naomi getting to fight a bit. Brad’s defeat was kind of underwhelming. Naomi and her sister’s relationship felt a bit off idk they didn’t really feel like sisters to me and barely had a real conversation alone. Also, there was a lot of Blake in this which I was happy to see but no mention of Zoe at all which I felt was off because of how important mates are in this universe.

Overall a decent read that engages you from the first page.

We got to meet the intimidating (secretly cinnamon roll) rogue Wyatt in book one. Wyatt is competing in the games to win himself a place in the world, especially now his sister Jamie is safe with her mate. But it hasn't been easy for him, misunderstood and bullied by almost everyone around him, when his eyes lock with Naomi, he knows things are about to change for him.

Naomi, running from a terrible pack to save herself and her own sister, feels the instant connection - their draw, compassion and care for one another is all kinds of feel good. What's not so feel good is the evil alpha following after Naomi, trying to keep her past is a secret and protect her growing connection with Wyatt might just be her biggest mistake.

Naomi and Wyatt's story is filled with love, devotion and selflessness, I wasn't ready for it to end. Reece's books always give you that satisfying swoony feeling, with a touch of spice and plenty of drama - this is no exception!

I’ve had the chance to read the ARC of this second book of the interconnected Alpha Games series. The story start where the first book end. This time, we follow Wyatt (Jamie’s brother) and Naomi’s story.

I always love a steamy wolf shifter romance. Both characters are strong and protective. The concept of found family is really there and both Wyatt and Naomi would do everything to protect their siblings. They’re also really protective of each other because they’re fated mates. It’s really heartwarming to read about two people who have struggle with life and have been bring down by others a lot. I like the fact that they accept themselves despite their heavy pasts and what others think of them.

Savage Games is a paranormal romance with trials. The spice and the plot kept me on my toes throughout my reading. I recommend it to every fan of steamy shifter romance. Thank you Reece Barden for this ARC and I can’t wait to discover more about the next love story of this series!!

Another great book in this series! A hot and yummy MMC, a bad-a&& FMC, a bad guy we HATE and a side character that needs his own book! *hint hint!
This book introduces us to Naomi, a totally awesome chick who loves her sister so much that she enters the Alpha Games to try and get her and her sister away from a total douche canoe of an alpha who controls them both. And man, do we hate him!!! Enter Wyatt. Now, we met Wyatt in the first book of this series. He is the brother of Jamie, the FMC of book #1. He is tall, stacked, and a total teddy bear. He is also a rouge wolf and has entered the games to get his own pack and his own family. When these two meet, it's "Mate" and "Lust at first sight"!
I loved this book! It has everything I need for an alpha, wolf, shifter romance. I can't wait for book #3! 4.5 stars for this one.

Savage Games is the second book in the Alpha Games series. After reading Rogue Games, book one, I couldn't wait to read more, and Savage Games did not disappoint.

I really enjoyed the storyline of this book. With all its twists, I was hooked, eager to know what was going to happen next. It had me feeling every emotion possible, from crying to laughing out loud. I didn't want it to end.

I loved Wyatt, the giant cinnamon roll rogue mmc and Naomi, the fierce and protective fmc. The slow burn between the two and angst near killed me! I loved the instant chemistry and protectiveness between them from the very start.

Overall, I highly recommend this book, this series. It has everything you need for a light fantasy read.

If you love yourself a bit of wolf-shifter, Alpha, fated mates, instant love, angst, spice, danger, drama, and secrets, then this fantasy romance is definatley for you.

The second book in the alpha games series starts off with a bang. It's instalove, fated mates goodness from the minute we meet Wyatt and Naomi. But there are a multitude of obstacles and secrets and I almost felt Reece Barden giggling in the background, saying: Let the games begin!
It's a fast paced book that keeps up the world building from book 1, Rogue Games, and we meet a lot of familiar characters from this universe. It's a bit more angsty and dark than book one and you'll spend a lot of the time slightly uncomfortable and thanking the universe, that this is romance and you know you'll get a HEA.
The writing is, as always, flowing and engaging. Reece knows her stuff and we get the benefits from it. I don't think I've met a book of hers, that I didn't love!
Highly recommend!

I received an early copy and smashed through it for my first read in under 24hours because I was so engrossed in it, that I couldn’t put it down. If you love Reece’s other books you’ll absolutely fall in love with Wyatt and Naomi. If you haven’t read her other series, please do yourself a favour and check them out. Reece is one of the few authors where I automatically read her new releases - I don’t need to know the story or tropes, if it’s written by Reece it’s a given that I’ll enjoy it.

I feel that Reece stepped it up with Savage Games. The flow of the story and without giving any spoilers away, how it unfolds was really enjoyable. I felt that the spice was the perfect amount for the story too. It didn’t feel like it was taking away from the general flow.

I liked getting an insight into the gentle giant that is Wyatt. I also liked Naomi and how we had a female lead who was strong and alpha all on her own. Savage Games is book 2 of the Alpha Games series and I recommend reading Rogue Games first so that you have some backstory to the games and other characters, but that isn’t necessary.

I cannot wait to read the next instalment that’s based on Jax. The little snippet at the end of Savage Games already has me hooked.

Savage Games is from the same world as The Shifters from Grey Ridge and Steel Pack Alphas (Alpha Blake Steel’s story ‘The Chase’ is the first book - and yes it is also amazing).

In Savage Games we meet the rouge MMC Wyatt and the secretive FMC Naomi. From the first page the two of them are drawn to each other, while both fighting to win the Alpha Games.

There is something so raw and intense about these wolf shifter books that really sits well with me. For me the storyline, language and pace of the book is perfect.
All that gets better sprinkled with the loyalty, caring and fierceness that book also contains.

Savage Games is the second book in the Alpha Games series. You can definitely read it without reading the first book, but if you want some background story on especially Wyatt, but also some of the other characters, then start by reading Rouge Games.
Both books are worth a read!

I received an early copy and could not put Wyatt and Naomi down until I finished the book in less than a day. I was excited for Wyatt’s story, pretty much since we met him in book 1 of the series! This book could be read as a standalone, but it picks up right where we left off in the first book, so I would recommend reading Rogue Games. As always, Reece doesn’t disappoint and gives us the toughest (yet sweetest) alpha and a headstrong female lead. If you are a fan of paranormal romance, fated mates, and wolf shifters, this series is defintely for you. The storyline kept you guessing, and if you like spice, I’d definitely give this a read! I literally cannot wait to read the next in the series. Although.. I’d basically read anything Reece writes, no questions asked.

Insta love that's also slow burn? Sign me up!
I felt like this was a fresh take on the whole "fated mates insta love" trope and it was done so well. The angst and pining between the main characters was palpable. The MMC Wyatt was a giant cinnamon roll in the best of ways. I felt like there was a little of a slow start to get the characters established, but after that, the plot was engaging and had the right amount of suspense. I loved that the MFC Naomi was a badass in her own right and held her own in the games when the odds were against her.

"He looks at me like I'm precious, like I'm worth waiting for, worth protecting, worth everything" 🥰

I received an ARC of this book, this is my honest opinion

This was a good shifter romance!

Naomi and Wyatt happen to meet at a competition to earn a pack. They touch, and they know they’re mates. Wyatt is going to be heavily targeted in these games, and Naomi has to figure out how she’s going to keep her sister safe from their current alpha, so they decide to keep it a secret. They have to try to survive and stay together when their secret does get out…

Wyatt’s character was so good! I really liked who he was as a person, and he continues to be that strong protector throughout the whole book. They fit really well because Naomi is working hard to protect as well. I really liked how everything came together and worked out.

Thank you, Reece, for sending me a copy of this book!

Finally! A love for the rogue wolf! Wyatt’s story stole my heart. He is the type of selfless guy that would go above and beyond for his loved ones, but don’t mess with him if you don’t want to meet his wrath. When he finds out he has a fated mate competing in the same games to win a pack, he must focus on finishing what he’s started and risk his future with Naomi. In won’t be easy for the big rogue that everyone seems to hates for the only reason he excels in every trial.

Expect a slow burn romance, bullying, savage games alright, drama, action and HEA. Also, the side character’s are surprisingly interesting and I loved that we got to see more of his sister Jamie, his estranged mom and half brother.

I highly recommend to start reading this series.

(Werewolf romance, insta love, trials/challenges, strong FMC, large, possessive and obsessed MMC)

Werewolves participating in a high stakes game full of challenges to test their strength, stamina and will to win their own pack!? Yes please!

I devoured this book in hours. Once I started,.I could not put this book down!

The steam and tension between Wyatt and Naomi was absolutely delicious. It sold the insta love but also made the slow burn so freaking amazing. It hooked me. And the SPICE...when it pays out...be ready!

Add in a strong FMC who has to prove herself and take care of her sister...gold! I really enjoyed this story and can't wait for more in this series!

Stepping straight into the story from where book 1 finished we get a proper cinnamon roll MMC in the form of Wyatt and Naomi as FMC pulls you in by sticking up for him straight away where everyone else taunts him.

As usual we get the ups and downs that follow that first fated mate meeting which is a great story but we also get to see more of the others of Deans pack like Jax, I cannot wait for his story!!

I did prefer Dean’s book, but only from my preference having got to know him in shifters of grey ridge and also wanting his story. But Wyatt and Naomi’s story is just as great.

Love Reece’s writing as usual and like always couldn’t put the book down

I absolutely loved this book! After reading Dean and Jamie’s story I could not wait for Wyatts. Reece did not disappoint. No worries I won’t give any spoilers but knowing Wyatt’s back story I know how much winning a pack meant to him. He is a gentle but dominant Alpha ( what’s not to pant over right??) who meets his fated mate
Naomi at the Alpha games. Naomi is there hoping to save her sister. Of course there is an evil villain overshadowing her life. Spicy story you don’t want to miss. Make sure you’ve read book one as it helps to understand Wyatt’s life and need to find a place to call his.
Can’t wait for the next book!

I was really looking forward to reading Wyatt’s story. The beginning of the book started slow for me. The characters and dialogue all felt a bit awkward BUT once the story picked up I was hooked. One can’t help but fall in love with Wyatt. He has been the hated underdog in this series but he is proving to be a very worthy potential Alpha of a pack. Naomi is a strong female who is in a very difficult bind and she is such a fighter. The twists and turns in this book made for an immersive and fast paced read and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. There are several interesting characters that need a HEA too!

I have been waiting for Wyatt’s story since he was introduced in the last book. I thought this story was brilliant, as it managed to encompass love, betrayal, and romance with plenty of action.
I thought that Wyatt, AKA “The Big Bad Rogue”, was a sweetheart, who was desperate to find connection. He was powerful, without needing to be dominant all of the time. Naomi was trying to find a way out and came across as a real contender, who was strong, but could not be herself. I thought they were perfect for each other.
I got hooked on this story within the first few pages and was completely absorbed.
For me, this was a perfect holiday read. 5 stars!

Wow – amazing read! I loved Wyatt and Naomi’s journey. They each have individual strength, determination, & grit which make them likeable, however, together they are compelling and really drew this reader into their story. The world building of the Alphas Games and connections of characters made this an engaging read from start to finish. Savage Games by Reece Barden is well written with a perfect blend of romance, spice, mystery, family, life, and paranormal. The journey that Wyatt and Naomi travel to reach their HEA is a page turner and enjoyable throughout. Highly recommended! Savage Games: A Wolf Shifter Romance is book 2 of the Alpha Games series.
