Sienne Vega can do no wrong. From the blurbs I was like this story is like The Bodyguard. I was definitely wrong. Brown Sugar was absolutely amazing. This book is a pretty quick read and an amazing addition to the Lunchtime Chronicles series. This story is packed with action, tension and spice that Sienne is so generous with. The FMC Kiana it’s a bit of a brat celebrity superstar, but she’s also strong and knows her worth The MMC Tyson is a well written, delicious, alpha male character with the perfect touch of grumpiness and a whole lot of BDE. This book hit all the targets for me and I highly recommend it!

Tyson and Kiana are fire!!!

Oh my gawd, this book was such a pleasure to read! It was like The Bodyguard meets Beyond The Lights mixed with Cutting Edge. Author Sienne Vega wrote, in my opinion, one of the most entertaining Lunchtime Chronicles books I've ever read.

Tyson and Kiana had an explosive work relationship until the night they crossed the line and found they were exactly what each other needed in their lives. For Tyson, it wasn't just about protecting Kiana his client. It became much more personal. And for Kiana Tyson was no longer Goliath her annoying and overbearing bodyguard. He was a man who put her safety and her happiness first. In this book, Tyson and Kiana would weather some heavy storms. Trying to save Kiana from a dangerous stalker fan, dealing with bully management, fighting slender tactics from her ex, and fighting for a love that neither saw coming.

This book is a definite must-read. From the beginning to the beautiful ending, it will keep you engaged, wondering who Kiana's crazy stalker fan is and if she and Tyson will ever wind up together. It's an absolutely great story.

I received this free copy via BookFunnel, and I'm happy to leave this honest review.

This was such a quick read, I was so mad when it finished. It’s full length but short for Sienne Vega, but it’s a special edition so😭. I’m such a sucker for bodyguard romances ever since I saw The Bodyguard with Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner. This definitely scratched that itch. Kiana and Tyson fell fast and hard for each other. Was so glad when her annoying boyfriend was out of the picture. Someone is threatening her life and Tyson will do anything to protect her, even though he’s falling for her. Check this one out!!

"Tyson Jeffries is my type. He's the man I didn't know I needed."~Kiana

Ohh girl. I know.😍😍 Sometimes the universe delivers a person, the right person, at just the right time. This was a fantastic read. Once I started reading, the story took hold, and I couldn't stop... It's fast paced and doesn't miss a beat. The story unfolds in a way that gives the main couple growth and development from start to finish.

We have Kiana, a hardworking well-known R&B singer and actress who's on top of the world. She works non-stop. Kiana's really sweet and a trusting person. Her fraternal twin sister Amari, who works with Kiana and her fashion image, was the funny and lively go-getter between the two. You know, trying to get her sis to enjoy life a little bit more. But don't get it twisted, Kiana will come into her own as the story goes along.😁 I love that. The complication is that Kiana has a dangerous stalker who has their eyes set on her.

Enter former Marine, as well as security consultant, Tyson the bison. Bodyguard extraordinaire. My gosh!! That big tall man invaded the book space like the take charge mountain man that he is. Whew!! As a reader I felt his strength and presence. He doesn't put up with anyone's crap. He knows what has to be done and this guy does it. He watches over Kiana. He protects and defends her. Did he annoy her? Oh yeah. Did she push back? Naturally.😆😆 Which only led to a development of mutual respect and the start of a flirtatious connection.

There is drama, action, backstabbing, betrayals, threats, realizations that who you thought had your best interest, actually doesn't, and a desirous bond brewing for Princess and her Goliath.🔥🔥🔥 Steamy. Those are their cutesy nicknames for each another. I like these two together. It was meant to be. They got to know one another, shared their hurts, and trusted. I liked it. A lot!! I recommend. It's really good. No spoilers. I would love to read a book about Amari.🤞🏻 Also, I love this book cover. She's gorgeous. I appreciate that it's not the man in the story, but the lady. Very cool. Happy reading!!!❤️❤️❤️

🎶🌟Thank you to Ms Vega and Bookfunnel for an early book. I'm voluntarily leaving my thoughts. Get your book today.🌟🎶

Kiana, a R&B pop star dealing with a stalker, and Tyson, her tough former marine turned private security consultant and bodyguard, make for an interesting pair. I loved how Tyson, who’s focused on protecting her physically, is also the first person—besides her sister—to really see Kiana for who she is beyond her celebrity image. And Kiana starts to see through Tyson’s tough exterior to the kind and protective man he is. Kiana is not just a bratty damsel in distress and Tyson isn't just a stoic protector.

The story has some action and suspense with Kiana’s stalker putting her in danger, and Tyson stepping in to protect her but it never felt too heavy. There's a really relatable dynamic of Kiana trying to reconcile who she's assumed she is and what she wants versus who she's becoming. Most of us won't be famous but we've had those moments in our lives when those big events happen that cause you to have to do some deep soul searching.

Themes of learning to trust yourself and learning to trust others, personal growth, and the line between safety vs risk that are all explored without overshadowing the romance. Tyson sounds delicious cause 6'4" and 240lbs of muscle? Yes please! There's also some steamy scenes for us steamy diehard readers. You know Sienne always comes through for us with the steam.

It’s a good read, less intense than some of Sienne's other books, which makes it a great entry point for readers who are new to her work. I enjoyed the balance of romance, action, and personal growth in this story. If you’re into bodyguard romances with a touch of suspense, this one is worth it.

With Brown Sugar, prolific and always entertaining Sienne Vega joins the Lunchtime Chronicles franchise with a deliciously concocted, yet hearty bodyguard romance. While moving her story along at a brisk pace, Ms. Vega is not at all stingy with her attention to detail or her compelling use of interesting characters and well-developed intrigue. When the story begins, R&B diva, Kiana is riding high on professional success and romantic fulfillment. However, everything in her world is not ideal, she has somehow attracted a stalker who is becoming increasingly lethal. Tyson Jeffries has spent the years since leaving the Marines building a reputation as a top-notch bodyguard and security specialist. He is hesitant to accept the assignment to provide security for yet another dizzy diva. As Kiana and Tyson work together to keep her safe, they find common interests and a sweet sense of camaraderie. How many steps will it take for them to move this unexpected friendship into romance? I loved both characters, Tyson was all about business, but he was the only person other than her sister to see that Kiana needed more support and nurturing than anyone was giving her. Kiana was gentle and talented and allowed others to make major decisions in her life and career, she needed a “Tyson” in her life to help her speak up for herself! The mystery of the stalker was exquisitely executed, I had some theories but not one was correct. Well played, Ms. Vega, well played.

This was my first time reading the Lunchtime Chronicles, and I was fortunate to receive an ARC!

To start off, I love Sienne Vega's novels. She does not disappoint, and I have not read a book by her that I didn't love! I've read most of the Twisted Roses series and a few other books by this author.

Kianna is a beautiful R&B singer with a controlling and manipulative record label. They hire Tyson the Bison as her hot bodyguard after an incident with a stalker fan. Their sexual tension was hot, and I liked the "will they/won't they" aspect of their story.

I loved the action and suspense of this story, especially when we learn early on that Kianna has a stalker, and Tyson is on the move to find that person. Tyson's protective nature, paired with Kianna's carefreeness while trying to spread her wings, was beautiful and made it fun to read. This book definitely reminded me of "The Bodyguard" film starring Whitney Houston, and I loved how realistic the characters were-- from Tyson's picky eating habits (which were funny!)to descriptions of Kianna's natural hairstyles; it made it a lot more realistic, and I was rooting for them the entire book!

The suspense and romance of this story kept me on the edge of my seat. I stayed awake until 1 a.m. while reading this book! I highly recommend it to anyone wanting a sexy, quick read that packs a punch with mystery. I loved the plot twist as well.

Overall, I loved this story. I loved the pacing and the erotic suspense of all, and it kept its plot. I'll be adding more of Lunchtime Chronicles to my TBR. Thank you, Sienne!

Ma'am.
First, Where can I find me a big, brawley hunk of man mass? Also, did you really say he was BIG? Oooooh lemme fan myself.

Okay, for real. This is the Spicy Bodyguard is what I have decided. Now, I enjoyed this plot. The twist. I actually thought it was someone else. However, it made sense as Tyson put it together.
This is the first book I have read by this author and I loved that she really was in tune with black women. Like, the transformations that occur. I like that the protective hairstyles is highlighted. It's a thing.
The spice in this one....all I saw was "gulp"and "Big" and without a doubt a ride indeed.
This is a quick read (I read it in a few hours - because I just love to read, seriously) and for me, if I read a book under 300 pages, I tend to wonder if the story goes too fast and things are missed. This one....not disappointed at all. It went exactly as it should have without skipping a beat. That says a lot for me.
Yes, I gave it 5 stars because I enjoyed the story so much and deep down need me some Tyson Jeffries in my spicy life. The story, the way it read. The dialogue, it's a definite lunchtime chronicle.
Also, the playlist on spotify= FIYA!!
I'm over here wanting to read (and totally pre-ordered) another one of her books. Yep. Yep I sure did.

We all need a Goliath in our lives. Wow, Tyson is my new book boyfriend. Good storyline, a great plot, and very suspenseful. Tommy and Hal were horrible. Oh, don't let me forget the ex it was all smoking mirrors. She thinks she's in love and it's arranged. Tommy knew the ex was cheating foul fr. Back to Tyson when he called her princess and said she was his brat to protect, we had HIM! First story from this author and will not be the last. Tyson was really hurting from the loss of his brothers. Some hurts can be packed away and forgotten about, and they’ll fade with time. Some become caged animals, but Goliath wants to lock Kiana in a cage YES!. 5 for spice level, but it moved a lil to quick she did just break up with her ex... right. Would have love to see the relationship kinder develop more before and after. Seem like she was still busy at the end. Where the marriage and kids would've loved to see more of that. I mean, we get the career and all but leave much for a relationship. Her twin made it sound like he was a distraction, but K had been in a committed relationship for 4 years. Wasn't sure where that came from. This author is a 1-click for sure. consistently gift us with gems. This, one was a little different from what I'm used to.

I received an ARC copy of Brown Sugar by Sienne Vega. Brown Sugar is part of the Lunchtime Chronicles Series. In Brown Sugar, we meet Kiana and Tyson who at first didn't get off on the right foot. Kiana is a R&B singer and Tyson is the bodyguard who is hired to protect her. It has come to Kiana's record label that Kiana's life is in danger and they called in some favors and they ended up with Tyson. As the book goes on readers will start to understand why Kiana and Tyson are the way they are. In some parts of the book, I felt sorry for both characters. Brown Sugar was filled with a lot of secrets, twists, and turns as well as things that you weren't expecting that will have you clutching your imaginary pearls. What I loved about this book was the plot I loved that it was different and it kept you guessing. Brown Sugar was well written, the characters were described perfectly, and the word building was amazing. If you love drama and suspense with spice, Brown Sugar is the book for you. Brown Sugar is a great book and I look forward to more books from this author.
I look forward to the other books in the Lunchtime Chronicles Series.

Kiana is a megastar. Think Beyoncé level of fame and talent, and someone's out to get her. Tyson is a no nonsense bodyguard who couldn't care less about celebrity and the world they live in... until he meets Kiana.

I was so excited to read this. The Lunchtime Chronicles is a series I plan to read in its entirety so to find out one of my favourite authors Sienne Vega was writing a story made my day.

I loved the relationship development between Kiana and the stoic alpha, man mountain that is Tyson. Sienne captured the harsh reality of fame very well as Tyson and Kiana work together to find out who is out to get her, who she can and can't trust and the growing attraction between both.
I'm a sucker for a grumpy alpha with a heart of gold and the woman who captures his attention, as Tyson works to track down the person after Kiana before it's too late.

Sienne Vega flawlessly delivered as always. Thanks for my first ever arc.

The R&B diva and the bodyguard

What and interesting story about one of the worlds biggest R&B diva and her relationship with her bodyguard. It's not a new story, but I enjoyed all the twist and turns as they unfolded.

What started off as Tyson the Bison accepting a bodyguard contract to protect, what he assumed, an entitled star, quickly turned into a full on 24/7 personal and professional protection duty. Kiana became a singing star at such a young age that she was use to being controlled by her manager and label, and never felt comfortable speaking up for herself. Tyson, dealing with his own demons, saw how vulnerable Kiana was, and refused to allow anyone to mistreat her. This 6'4, 250 Goliath not only looked out for her, but he cleared all the princesses dragons.

Enjoyed the slow build up for these two, as well as the build-up to reveal who was after Kiana. Great job keeping this Lunchtime Chronicles sexy.

I love this book. "Brown Sugar" reminds me a bit of the Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner's movie called the Bodyguard. The book is fast paced and is not a long read, but it works to the book's benefit as the relationship between Tyson and Kiana didn't stall at any moment. Kiana and Tyson butt heads at times, but quickly they come to an understanding, then to a friendship, and finally to something more. Sienne Vega knows how to get you hooked to a book and build tension. The dissipation of that tension is amazing and makes literal sense. She never misses. Kiana's character development is one of the best things about "Brown Sugar", she's not a candle in the wind, but she does try to see the best and do what's best, even at her own peril. Kiana completely coming into her own was satisfying.

I loved Kiana and Tyson's story. Where can I find a man like Tyson?? Just reading about him made my girly bits dance 😍. There's drama, family, betrayal, friendship, love, loss, pain, pleasure, suspense, danger, and explosive chemistry. All things Sienne Vega books are known for. I enjoyed seeing the growth of Kiana over the course of the book. Tyson helped her find her voice by being her voice when she couldn't. He the strong silent type on the outside, but once you get to know him, he's a soft cuddley teddy bear. But don't F around and find out. Their personalities are beautifully written to complement each other. As always, Sienne Vega always keeps me guessing with the who done it and their motive. Surprisingly, I was wrong this time. I didn't expect him/her at all. Great job there and overall. I'd definitely recommend this book.

Princess and Goliath

Kiana Beduza and Tyson "the Bison" Jeffries did not like each other AR first. Kiana thought he was a grumpy overbearing bear messing up her flow. He thought that she was a spoiled brat of a princess that needed to be handle for her own good. She was as his spoiled brat to protect. That us eat he did. He protected er even though he'd been fired but Kiana grew on him. To him she had a loving heart in need of real love. Love that he was willing to give all if himself. That was what he did, to figure out who had a hit out on her and how to get Kiana to take be care of herself. She was stuck in a contract that was taking the joy out of her life. We put her foot down when management wanted to interfere in her personal life.she would not allow them to take away the only man that ever treated her with her wellbeing in mind.

This book was everything I have come to expect from a Sienne Vega story. It's action packed with wonderful characters and a storyline that will have you on edge of your seat.
I absolutely loved Kianna and Tyson, their chemistry felt real and had you rooting for them.
I felt that Kianna was a little naive at times and was slow to speak up for herself but when she finally put her foot down, she blossomed into the woman that she was always meant to be.
Tyson is a true alpha male that refused to take crap from anyone. He was determined to protect Kianna from anything that was meant to harm her.
The fact that he fell for her while doing so was icing on the cake.

I'm hoping that her twin sister will get her own story.

Brown Sugar was exactly what I expected, and I’m beyond happy with this book! It’s an amazing addition to thus season of the Lunchtime Chronicles, delivering action, tension, and suspense. I absolutely loved the characters and the plot.

Ms. Sienne Vega completely changed my mind about the bodyguard trope. Kiana, a celebrity who’s been wronged and has someone out to get her, was bratty in the beginning but she grow up quickly. And Tyson, aka Goliath… YUM! Can I just say BDE all the way!

Even though this is a short story, it packed a serious punch. I never felt like it was rushed or incomplete—everything flowed perfectly, and it hit all the right notes. Highly recommend if you’re into steamy, fast-paced reads with unforgettable characters!

The last thing Tyson Jeffries wanted was to be bodyguard to spoilt popstar, Kiana Baduza. Beautiful and headstrong it was clear from the start that she would be a handful but he was not one to back down from a challenge. As for her, he’s not her type. Strict, unsmiling and way too uptight, yep, not her type. But when the threats against her life became real and the very people who are supposed to have her best interests at heart are anything but, Tyson turns out to be the man she didn’t want but certainly needs.
This steamy bodyguard romance has enough spice, suspense and action to keep you engaged and is a quick read. I highly recommend it!

I’ve only just discovered this author and I am a fan. This was a cute quick read. I enjoyed the FMC but, there are times when she truly behaved like a princess 😉. Which grated my nerves initially but, the reasoning behind why she behaved that way made logical sense. The MMC was borderline meanie but, never to our lead. He was a believable alpha that wasn’t over the top.

All in all it was a cute quick read. There’s insta love but, that’s to be expected in such a short book. The troupe were cute and not too over the top. There’s some good spice. 4.25/5 overall rating.

I did receive this book as an Arc. I would recommend the book as it’s a quick spicy IR romance. Think the bodyguard but, remade today with heat.

I have to say I honestly didn’t think I would finish this book. The only character I liked was Tyson. Five chapters in and I was convinced I wasn’t going to finish this book. I kept reading and a lot of things came to light about the characters. To say that Miss Vega kept me in suspense is an understatement. Chapter twelve was the turning point for me. I finally saw the real Kiani. The more she pulled back the “I’m a Superstar” layers and the real person was revealed the more I enjoyed the book. The spicy spice was definitely there. The over the top protective Alpha was there. The stalker, the overbearing music exec and a few twists you may not see coming kept me rooting for Tyson and Kiani. I’m so glad I kept reading.

Steamy romance, how can you go wrong with a by the book bodyguard to protect and eventually fall in love with you. Famous singer Kiana dealing with all kinds of nefarious people around her that only sees her as their meal ticket. She’s received death threats, and needs more protection, that’s where Tyson the Bison aka Goliath is summoned to find out who the culprit is.
Loved the progression of their love story, just the right amount of sizzle, action and suspense and hotter than hot love scenes. He loved him some Brown Sugar.

This was very reminiscent of The Bodyguard. Kiana was a rude spoilt little chick. She kept putting herself in danger when she had a killer after her. Besides her being pretty, idk wtf Tyson saw in her. She had no depth. The only good thing I can say about this book is that Kiana didn't just stop loving Shawn cause they broke and he cheated. She showed that she really cared about him no matter how misguided it was. It was a nice changed. Usually you have books where the character moved on the next day with no feelings when real life is a lot more complicated and messier than that.

Kiana and Tyson made quite a pair. Kiana was a superstar that made music all over the world. All of a sudden, she is a target that needs better protection, in walks Tyson the Bison. He is 6'4" 250 pounds of muscle that will blow any woman's mind. They star off bumping heads but end up in perfect harmony. Neither of them expected to fall in love but the chemistry was too strong. I enjoyed reading this story.

I don’t believe in spoilers…so I’ll Just Say The body guard and his charge are FIRE🔥🔥This by far is one of the best lunchtime chronicles I’ve read. Spicy and swoon worthy too bad this is a short story I could use at least 20 more chapters😂😂 Sienna Vega strikes again—the story pulls you in and doesn’t let you go, the characters are so raw and real!! All I can say is don’t sleep on this book-CHEF’S KISS!! For how tasty this is!

Wow is all I can say. I must say this might be the best season of Lunchtime Chronicles and a first time reader of this author and this was a good book. I love how protective Tyson was over Kiana. He knew what was gong on with her before she knew it. This was a real love story and I loved it! I highly recommend Brown Sugar by Sienne Vega. I enjoyed it!!

Loved It

I really enjoyed this story, Tyson is every woman dream man. The action and the craziness of the Kiana manger, I would have went off long before that. They was working that girl to death, Tyson was a threat to their control I think that’s why they fired him. The sex scene was hot and off the charts. Hated it ended so soon but it was a great read, I can see myself reading this over.

My goodness! This was one sweet and sassy story. The "Kiana" singer/entertainer extraordinaire, is being stalked. Enter Tyson, the bodyguard of all bodyguards, who not only finds out who is after her, and takes care of those who are betraying right and left. He also grabs her heart in the process. This was a superb read! I loved it!

Kiana and Tyson. Kiana's life is threatened. but she does not take seriously. In walks a mountain of a man- Tyson. His sole job is to protect the asset. Who's heart is also going to need protection? A good read. This season's LTC are longer- I'm not complaining! Really good twist had me guessing to the end.
