Hi there! I’m Cássio, and I write clean, wholesome LitRPG. My work has gathered over 2 million views on Royal Road.
My stories focus on progression, crafting, VRMMO systems, cozy vibes, and characters who grow in meaningful ways. If you like animals, aliens, good-hearted adventures, and worlds that feel warm instead of grim, you’ll probably feel at home in my books.
I share early chapters and behind-the-scenes updates on Royal Road and Patreon, and the finished books slowly make their way to Amazon.
I think I'm done with LitRPG books. This was the best series out there and after 6 years of the genre, this one takes the cake. From the old Russian ones, to Travis Bagwell, to all the cultivation ones, this story outshines them all. Cássio, you have done a fantastic job of creating a story that has influenced my life and made me think deeply. I look forward to meeting you in this life or the next.
I really enjoyed this series, it was a fun and creative read throughout with a really satisfying ending. I loved reading about Roth’s adventures and how he overcame the obstacles thrown his way.
I want to start by saying how I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I finished all of the Hidden class: Handyman books that had released and knew I wanted more like that.
But this was the book that should have tied everything that has happened together. Instead it seemed rushed as if the drive to write about Roth had turned into a rush to get it over with.
The time skip at the start ruined it for me. Especially when events that occurred in the time skip were mentioned as if I should know about them when it was included in the week we missed. Then everything about power leveling Roth made it seem as if random ideas were just put together to get it over with.

This is a fantastic wrap up to a really interesting and creative series. I have learned to love Cássio's writing. I really like that. There's no unnecessary violence or other gratuitous images.
So I managed to finish this series. If I wasn't sick in bed for multiple days and bored out of my mind I don't think I could have otherwise managed it. .
This is not a good series. It has a few charming moments, but overall this ain't it. Far too much repetition, far too many glaring inconsistency errors, grammar errors, general poor writing, some good ol' men-writing-women outdated bullshit, and to wrap it all up it wasn't even that satisfying of a story.
This book has quite a time gap to the previous book. The author just hand waved a few of the major quest lines away, saying Roth managed to wrap them up. Like, what? This is supposed to be cozy slice-of-life fiction no? You spend 3 pages reposting item or skill information we already have seen a few times, but then you gloss over bringing the horse princess home and don't explain why she stayed with your MC instead of staying home like she always wanted?
Add on to this that the ONLY major female character is Roth's love interest and I have to say it's all kind of gross and meh.
The author has this to say on his GR author page: "Hi there! I’m Cássio, and I write clean, wholesome LitRPG. My work has gathered over 2 million views on Royal Road." Yeah if you only have one female character who is the love interest and you have a cast of about 30 major characters that is NOT wholesome. Add on to it the comment from Roth last book (when it seemed like his mom was dating one of his in-game friends he was all like "but he could have asked me for permission!" Like bro, chill, you're 25 and your mom can do what she wants.) I can't say wholesome is what I take away from this.
On the other hand I saw a review that said they feel bad for anyone who discovers this authors work first, as it is clearly their early stuff, super weak, and supposedly gets much better. I might still check it out.
This story wasn't absolutely horrible after all.
I liked all the animal friendships. I liked the setting and how the world was developed. I liked that we got a great overarching story, but most of the time we stayed small, focusing on crafting and making friends. I still think RavensDagger with Broccoli Bunch did it much better.
Completely rushed ending that drives home how little the MC did to earn anything. Add in a tacked on romance with some bad dialog, and I dont think i would recommend this series to anyone.
