The world is full of demons. They lurk in the shadows waiting for their next victim…
PI Dean Steele has faced many great losses. Now reconnected with his long-lost son. The void he had all his life is finally full of love and optimism for the future.
While attempting to take down The Board, he gets called to a perplexing case. A man was found in a B&B with a fatal head wound and a letter detailing his motive for suicide. With the reason and the clues left behind not quite adding up. Dean begins to suspect foul play behind the man’s death. While working on the case Dean witnesses many strange occurrences within the B&B. It seems this town may be harboring dark secrets as well.
A widow, a marriage on the rocks, and a house full of lies. Here in Twilight Cove be watchful of the things that are hidden in the darkness.
Some “haunting” incidents bedevil the heir to one of the first, very secluded, mansions built in Twilight Cove.
Broken glass on the porch, nails on the driveway behind her car - things going “bump” in the night - and then a horrifying discovery upon returning from a day’s worth of shopping.
And the death of podcaster Kiernan continues to plague Dean.
Heather Mullins inherits a historical home in Twilight Cove after her grandmother passes away. Fed up with life, she takes a chance and moves into the house and decides to turn the sprawling mansion into a B&B. But when strange happenings in and around the house begin, Heather is at a loss. PI Dean Steele is in town investigating and is called to help. And then, Heather comes home one day to find a dead body in her locked house. The mysteries are piling up. Can Dean and some light on them?
Background is needed for these stories that make sense to readers that have not read previous books about Dean, Emma, etc. You will lose valuable readers if you don't catch them up. At this point we don't know about the girls deaths and I won't be buying anymore to find out. I don't like dragging new stories into the old to keep one interested.
I really enjoy this series. Dean Steele is a relentless sleuth and Xavier always brings the unique point of view. Together they provide an entertaining and interesting story. And, of course their author will always give them new twists and turns in every book.
Murder in Twilight Cove(Dean Steele Mystery Thriller Book 11)
OMG!!!!!! This book was amazing, I couldn't believe I had finished it. There were a lot of twists and turns in this book, and a lot of information, but I think Dean has his hands full trying to solve the other murders that he is trying to solve. I can't wait to read the next book.
I absolutely love Dean Steele. These books keep me on my toes. Xavier is a very interesting character in all of these stories. A must read. Thank you. Can't wait for more from Dean Steele.
Oh my gosh! Every time Dean (and Xavier) solve one puzzle, up comes another one! The thought process he goes through is fascinating, how he connects each piece of the crime. And I love the progress Xavier is making.
I really enjoyed this book. I is full of suspense and mystery . You can't put this book down .All the Dean Steele book are good. I highly recommend this book and series.
Dean certainly keeps himself busy as the investigations keep piling up. All the killings seem to be tied together. It's interesting to read how is mind latches on to a small item and he solves what happened. Good story.
Dean & Xavier go to Twilight Cove to find out what happened to to girls 10 & 20 years ago but get sidetracked by a lady that just inherited her grandmother’s house. Someone is trying to scare her into leaving. She comes home to find A body in her home.
Rivers is a master of intertwining former stories together, but a reader does not need to have read them. Hopefully, Heather will become a regular in future stories because Dean still has questions.
Dean for the win!!!! Love this series with Dean & Xavier! Book was fast moving and kept me on the edge of my chair. Can’t wait for them to get to the bottom of the town board!! Onto the next book.
He seriously wishes I had a Dean Steele in my life. I love how so much is going on but it flows so seamlessly. Not too much to be overwhelming and enough detail to not be overkill. Thoroughly enjoyed all the books this far.
Dean can truly uncover the extraordinary items of any mystery. If only he got paid for all the work he does. I truly enjoy reading the A.J.Rivers books. Have enjoyed the Dean Steel series an Emma Griffin series
I was so caught up in the story, that I got to the end and was shocked! Like this can't be the end!! Again A.J. Rivers has a winner. I can't wait for the next book!!
The storyline of Dean solving murders and mysteries on the island are getting monotonous. Still want to know more about Brielle’s husband and his involvement with her murder.
This was a great about Dean getting involved with another case and trying to find out who is doing what and trying to solve it with lots of suspense and action. Thank you.
