Artemis, the goddess of the hunt, believed she had murdered the only man she has ever loved until she overhears those haunting words. She finds out her brother, Apollo, the god of light, has hidden Orion all this time and doesn't plan on releasing him.
After her brother suddenly disappears, rumors of the return of a long forgotten goddess, hellbent on revenge against the pantheon, shakes Mount Olympus to its core. It isn't long before the vengeful goddess comes to take Artemis as the final piece needed for the revenge she has sought for so long.
Will Artemis save Orion and her brother or will she lose everyone she has ever loved?
“Did you know?”…..”Did you know it was Orion I was shooting at on the lake?”
When I say I felt all of Artemis’s rage at her twin brother Apollo, I felt every ounce. I really love the strong, unafraid of love, quick to temper but totally loyal, complete badass Goddess of the Hunt, Artemis! Anneliese Sky did an incredible job of portraying a woman, a Goddess, that has known love, loss, grief, betrayal, pain, and experienced life, who isn’t willing to just lay down when the cards are stacked too high but will fight til her last breath. She completely captured the essence of Orion, the gentle loving giant that toed the line of going too far just to have a chance at a conversation with Artemis. This giant of a man was so sweet and caring, I wish he had been freed by Artemis a lot sooner.
I am loving this series so much, I can’t wait to read the next book in the series! If you love Greek mythology, magic, and modern retellings then this is definitely a recommended read!
I devoured The Love of Artemis in two sittings, it’s got myth, betrayal, love, and that slow-burning sense of doom I weirdly love in a story. Artemis’s journey hit me harder than I expected. She’s fierce and heartbroken, and the tension with Apollo and Orion had me flipping pages fast.
It stumbled just a bit in pacing near the middle, but the emotion? So real. If you love Greek mythology with guts and heart, this one’s worth it. I already miss Artemis.
A spicy retelling of the Greek myth about Artemis and Orion. I like how she incorporates mythological creatures and greek gods and goddesses in this modern setting. Love the twists and turns throughout the book as well!
This is a fast pace love story with several twists that will keep you begging for more. The story consists of a Greek retelling with love, action, and so much more!! I look forward to reading more books from this author!
Action, love, humor, this book has it all. I loved the mystery of a secret character - Até - until she and her intentions are discovered. The backstory in this book is awesome. I love books like this especially when they're not predictable in what's going to happen. I'm so glad Artemis and Orion got the ending they deserved! I can't wait for the next one!
