I was notified that I won this book in a giveaway. I would like to read and review it, but it doesn't show up in my Kindle library.

The story was good, but the writing was reminiscent of a middle schooler. There were sentences throughout the whole book, there were sentences that needed a specificity that was missing. For example, (not a sentence actually from the book) "He slashed at the lizardman, and blood splattered across the shield causing him to lose his grip, and the shield crashed to the ground." Whose blood? Whose shield? Who lost their grip? (I recognize that my writing is just as bad)
It often lead me questioning like "Did MC have a shield?! I don't remember that."
It also didn't make sense that they would struggle with one enemy, then the next would be glossed over, when they were just as strong.
Overall though, it's totally the kind of book I like. Probably adding book 2 to my To Read list.
