She enjoys Halloween and all things spooky, photography, traveling, the mountains, chocolate cake and pizza, but her favorite thing is visiting Salem on Halloween. It's the most magical place on Earth.
She also suffers from a rare brain abnormality called Chiari malformation and hopes to spread more awareness to the disorder. She is a brain surgery survivor and credits her condition for creating the insanity she writes.

This book has COMPLETELY blown my mind! It's different from any dark romance I have read & I am 100% here for it!

If you have a bad ass Female character, bad ass dreamy male character. Then add some plot, spice, a few black orchids here & there and a hole bunch of murder...you get this masterpiece!

Craving Murder will have you devouring it. Then down on all 4 crawling just so you can beg on your hands and knees for book #2.

Hands down a top read for me & I will be impatiently waiting for book #2!

This is the first book that I’ve ever read by A V Donaldson and I know it won’t be the last because I already have the second book in this series on my Kindle.
This is a fast paced dark thriller about a young woman who is a serial killer. Not the normal….women are not usually killers. This woman has dark feelings towards others but, she keeps those feelings under wraps around those in her life.
When she is wronged by her best friend…a whole new world of vengeance opens up in the MFC. You will be taken on a ride you won’t be able to believe but, you’ll love every second of it.
I hope you enjoy this book as much as I do!!!!!!

Abigail, our FMC, is an uncaring, but charming, rage-fueled sociopath. And, I'm here for it.
Seth, our MMC, is a dreamy, bad boy, who falls into the deep with Abi. They make the perfect duo; she's untamed, he's calm; she wants to kill anyone, he wants it to mean something; she's unfeeling (mostly), he's wildly in love. The way they counteract each other is amazing, and makes for a fiery relationship.

The plot was something else; there were several times when I thought I had something figured out, and bam, completely different. Lots of details, wild action, spicy scenes that are inappropriate to read in public, and the twists are to die for. I fell in love with Abigail and Seth from the beginning and held on for dear life.

If you want an unhinged female serial killer, and not a vigilante killer, then welcome home. You've found her and her puppets have cinnamon buns ready for you.

I'm not sure where to go from here. I wasn't ready for that cliffhanger, I need the next book like I need air.

I think I've met my first book hangover.

Female rage is a beautiful thing. But Abigail is not just a ball of female rage. She's a psychopathic serial killer. Beauty on the outside, and unapologetic and demented on the inside. This book is 100% about Abs, Seth is just along for the ride(and us readers!). Their journey is completely unhinged and I enjoyed the juxtaposition of reading their POVs. I truly enjoyed reading this book, I couldn't put it down. We get many unhinged MMCs in books, but an unhinged FMC is a wonderful experience that I wished we got more of. She's not morally grey. She doesn't look back and have regrets. If you like dark themed books, you'll enjoy this. If you want redemption or are looking for someone seeking absolution for their crimes this isn't for you. From the start, Abigail Wescott sugar coats nothing about who or should I say what she is! She is the FMC of this book who has the beauty & gets the career she's always wanted. Most people would say that's enough and enjoy the life they've been given, but not this woman!

When reading this book, you'll meet not the beautifully perfect on the outside Abigail, but you'll get to know who she is inside that dark, twisted, Psychopath mind of hers!

Abigail is going to take you on a wild & dark ride! Don't hesitate, grab her hand, and ride until the end, but be careful. She has a tendency to take too much from those who care about her.

This book could be 10 stars if that was an option. I truly enjoyed every word, every page, and every chapter from start to finish. Now I'm left wondering, just how dark is my soul & heart! 🖤 🔪

If Butcher and Blackbird and taming Seraphine had a love child, this would be it!

I am so grateful to have had the chance to be an ARC reader for this book and it did NOT disappoint! The plot had me on my toes the entire time and to say I was shocked would be an understatement! Abbie is a completely feral sociopath and I loved every second of her antics. The chemistry between her and Seth leaves you wanting more! 10/10 would recommend!

When I read that there were two serial killers and some spice, I said sign me up!!! I wanted to love this book, but sadly, it was just ok to me. Once I hit 20% and met the MMC, the book got a little better for me. There was not a lot of plot. We kill have s*x and then do it all over. The storyline felt like it didn't flow. A big thing would happen and then it would take 4 pages into the next chapter for you to know we were a week or a month into the future.

The style of writing from AV Donaldson kidnaps you, holds you hostage and pulls your eyes open until you have no other option but to watch the story unfold, as if you're there. I've said it before, and I'll say it again, I'm certain she puts some sort of addictive drug in her writing.

Our FMC, Abigail, is an empty hearted, cold-blooded, serial killing psychopath. And she does it for shits and gigs. She doesn't do it for the greater good. She just does it. Well, imagine her luck when she bumps into Seth, the MMC, and she discovers the extracurricular activities he gets up to when he's not bartending.

Follow their journey as they navigate Abigails absolute chaos, all mixed in with some spice and graphic murder.

AV Donaldson, you are absolutely beautiful. I'm so so SO happy I get to watch your writing journey flourish - as it should. Thank you for introducing me to Abigails Universe. Life hasn't been the same since 🖤

I truly enjoyed reading Craving Murder: The Black Orchid Killer. Any person who feels that there is a certain darkness and rage they cannot explain will definitely enjoy this book. For anyone who has read the Mindf*ck series will definitely like Craving Murder. Or those who have read it or thought the Mindf*ck series was just okay (like me), I solely feel that you will enjoy AV Donaldson’s flow with her storyline. There’s also a good amount of spice that isn’t too under or overwhelming. I look forward to reading AV Donaldson’s future work! If you are looking for a dark romance with some spice and a badass FMC, this is the perfect book for you.

Chapter by chapter this book kept me turning pages. This is a darker storyline with a femme fatale serial killer. Fast read, the style it’s written in leaves a lot to the imagination in between chapters which may not be for everyone, but is a take I rather enjoyed. If you are like me and try to squeeze in chapters in between tasks, this writing style helps make it feel less fragmented because it is easy to pick up and you don’t feel like you have to go back and refresh yourself between chapters. Also the obvious “Easter egg” isn’t what you think; so don’t give up if you think you ‘know’ the twist(s). 😉

We follow the life of a serial deleter, Abigail but not only does she have a penchant for deleting people, she works hard to become a popular model. Who would ever believe a female model could be a serial deleter? Someone does, someone is taunting her from afar, someone leaves her gifts but she doesn’t let that deter her. She links up with another serial deleter, Seth they have a tumultuous relationship to say the least, from his viewpoint he loves her but Abbie is incapable of said emotion. We are led through her life seeking revenge on those that have wronged her, betrayed her or just quite literally got in her way.

This is the first book in the duet. I enjoyed this, if not only for the fact Abbie was such a strong character 😈 For me at times the flow from one chapter to another didn’t, flow that is, it almost stuttered into it. I figured this was the authors style of writing as I continued to read. Am I going to read the next one, indeed I am because I now need to know 😜

This was a dark book, but somehow YOU put humor throughout the book It cracked me up.
I absolutely LOVED it. At times when I had to do things…. Normal household stuff like cooking, dishes I wanted to be reading your book. Well the kindle app has a assistive reader, so I listened to it book.

I’m so surprised at the twist at the end of the book. Nothing as I expected. I can’t wait for a second book. Donaldson's writing is definitely not for the faint of heart.  She tackles subjects that resonate with the realities and complexities of life - well, except for the frequent murders.  By weaving real-life experiences into her psychological thriller framework, she creates settings so vivid you can picture yourself in the story.  One scene at Seth's bar was so well-crafted that I could practically feel the atmosphere - the clinking glasses, the music, the intensity - without detailed descriptions.

When adventuring through Craving Murder, or any of Donaldson's novels, attempting to predict her plot twists is futile.  You can take notes, follow closely, and think you understand what's happening, only to have everything you thought you knew shattered in the blink of an eye.  This cycle repeats throughout until you reach an ending that delivers a jaw-dropping surprise.

I imagine Donaldson sitting back, feet propped up, enjoying bon-bons while laughing at the incessant cursing  we do at her ingenious twists.  And then, just when you think it's over, she drops a cliffhanger that has you desperately reaching for the next book.  She's a devious little thing.

First I want to thank A.V Donaldson for the opportunity to be an ARC reader !!! This was my second time being in an ARC team and I loved it !

I can’t even begin to describe how awesome this book was !!!! I was reading it and screaming because the twists it took and they did not disappoint!!!!

The FMC Abigail is a freakin MURDEROUS QUEEN !!! She is bad as* !!! She literally gives zero fu**s !!!! No remorse for her killings - she never second guesses her self when she kills and she is SOOO confident !!!! You never see a woman killer in most books, and Abigail is everything you would want in a female sociopath 😆 I also found myself laughing literally out loud at Abigail’s “ dark humor .” Maybe it’s just me but Abby and I would get along so well , especially in the dark humor department?!! 😂

There is a bit of spice and I would say it’s honestly just the right amount of spice for this type of book. I do honestly feel bad for one of the male characters and I would say he’s the MMC - his name is Seth. He’s also a murder in his own way. He definitely is Abigail’s opposite when it comes to feelings , because Abby has none lol, but Seth is just a good guy at the end of the day.

The book definitely doesn’t disappoint, the ending HAD ME IN A CHOKEHOLD- I couldn’t believe it ended the way it does !!! But it’s such a good ending !!!!!!

Would you like to step into the mind of a FEMALE serial killer? This was a dark romance unlike anything I have EVER read before! It completely flipped the script and gave you the perspective of an enraged murderous woman psychopath. Some may view Abigail as cruel but Abigail was just trying to consistently be herself which happened to be an emotionless serial killer, who also happened to be quite comical.

First I want to thank AV for giving me the honor to read this as an ARC! Truly this is one of the best books I have ever read. It is such a roller coaster and you won't ever want to put your book down!!

I've just recently gotten into the realm of dark romances and am so glad I found this book. If you know me you know I love good character development. The character development of Abigail Wescott is phenomenal... you get to see inside the mind of the Black Orchid Killer and how ruthless yet hilarious she truly can be. And don't even get me started on Seth. I personally couldn't help but fall for him! I love a good romance and theirs definitely has the perfect amount of spice, humor, hate, and everything in between.

This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and the ending only left me wanting more. I've never hated yet loved the ending of a book more. I love a good cliff hanger and this one definitely has me screaming and kicking my feet. Definitely ready for the rest of this impeccable series!!

The dynamic of their relationship, if you will, is powerful and at no point predictable. It is….complex yet simple.

Embark on this journey of darkness and mayhem with them that shouldn’t be allowed to be nearly as addicting as it is. Yet here I am pleading with you to pick it up!

Probably because I am ALWAYS here for a freakishly strong main female character filled with rage and beauty. This book comes with one of the baddest and coldest yet. Regardless of what is thrown at her, regardless of what challenges steps onto her path, Abigail is in control enough to stay true to herself. You don’t see that very often. And for what it’s worth…good or bad, Abigail encourages us to own who we are. No matter how complex.

Also The dialogue inside Abigail’s head is the best. Not only is she heartless but she is hilarious. So I’m here for it.

I chuckled out loud multiple different times between character interactions and at certain references that were added in that often lightened a rather dark situation happening!

When it all comes down to my true feelings about this book, one sentence sums it up:
“This book is teetering on perfection.”

You have Abilgail the serial unaliver FMC who is literally devoid of emotion (unless it's frustration) who meets Seth (MMC) the seriously hot bartender who she thinks at first is exactly like her BUT ends up being more like a possessed toddler with an anxious attachment disorder 😆 anyways they decide to play a twisted game 😍
Throw in some mega curve balls thrown by each of their family members and you have yourself this incredibly delicious, smart, whitty book fueled by the feminine rage of the FMC.

Honestly this book did not disappoint. It has dark humour all throughout along with the twists and turns, spice & amazing characters.

I am so very lucky and glad that I was able to have been an ARC reader for this, and I absolutely can not wait for the next book because that cliffhanger! A.V.  you knew exactly what you were doing 🤤😉🖤
