My dad is going to die, unless I agree to marry the devil.

Tristano DeMatteo is sitting in my backyard with muscles on top of muscles, tattoos for each victim he’s killed, and a stank face saying he wants nothing to do with me.

The feeling’s mutual, bud. If there weren’t rival families on my front porch waiting to kill us, I’d kick you to the curb.

The truth is, he’s the most capable hitman the mob has to offer, and his dying father in charge of it all won’t agree to save mine unless his son marries me. What? I’m a sheltered Jersey girl with dreams of saving the world. I don’t care how enticing he is… definitely not for me.

With my father’s reaper literally banging on the front door, I’m left with a choice – Wed the smoking hot gangster in my backyard, or watch my father die.

The only thing more dangerous than accepting this ultimatum… is secretly loving it.

Delivered in White is a standalone spicy, dark mafia, arranged marriage romance with a HEA. Some scenes include violence and sexually explicit content.

Delivered in White
By Sara Vice

Mafia Romcom anyone? This might be my new favorite thing.

A dying hit man’s wish for his son is to settle down, marry, and give him grand babies. When an opportunity arises, the mafia lawyer has a really bad screw up and needs the hit man’s help, he proposes a plan that Capri (daughter of the lawyer) and Trino get married so he can see his grandchildren.

It becomes a comedy of errors. From a really hot car shoot out, to Capri having to become a stripper. I laughed out loud. The banter between Trino and Capri is hilarious and hot.

Read as an ARC and loved it.

For a quick insta-lust read with some mafia action and a lot of verbal tug of war s3xual tension, this will hit the spot!

Capri's inner dialog was entertaining to listen to and I liked the moments most between her and Tris when they were more reflective and listening to one another. I wanted to hear more about what makes Tris tick and how he's so good at what he does.

It all moves quite fast and the interlude where Tristano thinks having her in his str1p club one night to "hide" her... and the fact that she does it, felt a bit pushy to me. She's a lawyer, and more buttoned up so sometimes her prude to black cat personality shifts felt jarring.

But again, if you're more into insta lust and a quick read with some good sparring, then this will fill in nicely.

This was disappointing to say the least. I was so excited to read this mafia romance cause the plot summary sounded interesting- a mafia lawyers’s daughter, Cipriano, thrown into the mafia world when a rival family wants to hurt both her and her dad. As a result she agrees to marry Tristano for protection. I was hoping for an action packed and suspenseful plot with romance of course but all I got out of it was an insta lovey, cringe worthy, and one dimensional novel. The plot was so basic and just filled with smut. And don’t get me wrong I love dark romance, but this just turned my stomach.
I was so grossed out by Tristano and his mafia ways. And his only idea to protect Cipriano is to have her hide as a stripper in his club…. It felt so cheap and a total 180 from her character. She goes from being a button up lawyer to responding to Tristano with “yes daddy”. I had thrown up in my mouth a little with their conversations and the constant sex scenes. Like maybe have a bit more of a plot in the story . I got through 70% of the book and had to put it down to read something else.

Sometimes a book just knocks your feet out from under you. I was looking forward to reading Delivered in White and fully expected to enjoy it, but I was not expecting to love it so much right from the start that I couldn’t put it down. Happy surprise.

Rocco Dotelli has been a lawyer to the biggest mob families in New Jersey for a long time. He’s the best at what he does, until the day Sonny Lucrazi’s brother is convicted. Not what the Lucrazis were expecting, and they are not a forgiving family. They tell Rocco he has to fix it, and he assures them he will. But in that long time he’s been around he’s learned how things really work with the Mafia. Years ago he got a hitman off from what seemed like certain conviction, and now is the time to call in that favor.

Stanzo DeMatteo acknowledges the debt and agrees to get Rocco out of this mess. But there one little condition: Rocco’s daughter Cipriana, Capri, must marry Stanzo’s son Tristano, Stanzo has cancer and is dying, and his price to repay the favor is a wife for son Trino and a grandchild for himself. Nope, nope, no . . . wait, Rocco and Capri think about it for about 2 minutes and realize that’s their best, maybe only, shot at staying alive. Trino doesn’t want a wife any more than Capri wants a husband but they both care about their fathers and will do whatever they need to. Besides, it can be a marriage of convenience in name only, right? Well, except for that produce a grandchild thing.

Trino was raised at his father’s knee. Has a variety of businesses, some legit and some not, and a string of strip clubs. Spends all his off time with strippers that call him “Daddy” and his street name is Knots because that’s his trademark kill – strangles them with wire. Capri is a lawyer just like her dad, except her job is working for a foundation doing research to try to save the planet – literally. She knows what her father does but gives it a wide berth. So Trino and Capri – a match made in heaven, right?

Except it just might be. There is instant heat and attraction between them, they bicker like an old married couple before Stanzo even springs the marriage plan on them and there’s a soft, protective side to Trino and an adventurous, edgy side to Capri you wouldn’t expect.

Delivered in White takes off running, never slows down, and drags you along for the oh-so-much-fun ride. It’s vicious and violent – and hilarious. You can’t take it seriously, but you’re not expected to. There’s a complicated set of rules and family loyalty and a code of honor for the mob and Trino is a mastermind at navigating them to keep them safe. As safe as he can, anyway. Capri is a study in contrasts: she can’t keep her mouth shut and needles Trino constantly but she also talks (and feels) as if this really is a marriage. When she goes undercover at the strip club she discovers a side of herself she rather likes, and Trino discovers a side of himself that is frustrating to him and funny to us.

Delivered in White is fast, fast, fast moving, ridiculous, sweet, sad, scary and scorchingly, steamily sexy. Trino and Capri are made for each other even if they don’t realize it and go kicking and screaming for a while. They are brave and protective and like to annoy the crap out of each other. Their shady fathers are ruthless criminals but also just old men looking forward to having grandchildren. I enjoyed this book so much. Yes, they were “bad” guys, but bad guys with funny, endearing sides I came to love. Definitely a must-read (and read again). I received an advance copy of Delivered in White and voluntarily leave this review; all opinions are my own.

Sunshine meets Grumpy.... Sara Vice, you had my emotions all over the place with this read. I can't remember when a Dark Romance Mafia read ever made me cry, laugh, and yell all at once.

Tristano was in control, OCD, business driven, building an empire and taking care of business... Well, until he met his match Cipriana aka Capri.

Capri is what Tristano calls prude. Realistically, she is a lawyer who limits herself. She loves her father, who is a lawyer to clients who are not the most law-abiding citizens. Her dad finds himself in trouble dragging Capri into his mess.

He calls in a favor, but in return, Capri has to marry Tristano. Tristano's father lasts dying wish.

Tristano has to figure out how to protect Capri by hiding her in plain sight. I love the bickering between the two. At times, they wanted to strangle each other, but when Capri is captured by her father's enemies, Tristano's protectiveness and obsession takes over and he is not going to let anyone take his wife from him.

The epilougue had me in tears, especially when they opened up their gift. Capri and Tristano made each other better, stronger, and brought out the worst and best in each other. Loved how they found themselves in each other.

The read had a rom com, enemies to lovers, sunshine vs. grumpy vibe to it, and I'm not mad or disappointed. I gave this read ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and 🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 because of course, Capri had to share her "new talent" with her husband Tristano.

Wow, I went into this one blind and it was not what I expected. It was so much more. I believe this is my first read by this author, and the first thing I'll be doing is reading the previous books in this series. 😍

This story gave mafia romcom vibes, and I loved every second of it! Hit man Trino finds himself fulfilling his dying father's wish: to marry and give him grandbabies. When Capri's father, mafia lawyer, finds himself in hot water, the solution is for Capri and Trino to enter into an arranged marriage.

The banter, chemistry, and eventual real feelings between Trino and Capri made for a fantastic read. I was hooked from page one.

I know I said this recently about another fmc, but honestly, Capri is one of the best fmc's I've come across in a while. She was so smart, selfless, and adapted to any situation. She was so funny, kind, and very quirky - in the best way!

🤍 Mafia with romcom vibes
🤍 Arranged marriage
🤍 Insta-lust
🤍 First person, dual POV
🤍 HEA

The ending. Wow. I got emotional. I don't want to spoil anything. I'll just say that there were some situations and losses that I related to, and it had me in bits. If an author can pull this kind of feeling from you, you know they have done a fantastic job.

Thank you to author Sara Vice and The Author Agency for this advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Capri’s father is a lawyer for all 5 of the big mafia families. So he’s deeply involved with the organization. Unfortunately he was unable to get someone out of prison that he was supposed to and angered one of the families. So they told him he had a matter of hours to rectify the situation or they would hurt him and his daughter. So Capri’s father calls Tristano and his father since the father owes him a favor. The father agrees to help if Capri marries his son. So now Tristano is in charge of keeping Capri safe and alive. Tristano is considered a grump. I didn’t see him that way. He liked strippers and he enjoyed his life the way it was. He suffers from OCD so he was a little over the top with certain things. Capri is considered to be Ms sunshine but, I found her annoying. The bizarre jokes or statements at the most in opportune moments drove both me and Tristano crazy. It made Capri seem like a teenager instead of a grown woman. Since Tristano was all man, possessive, strong, dominant I didn’t feel like she deserved him and I thought he could do better. It’s hard to enjoy a story when the main character annoys you. The plot is interesting and certainly a different take on the arranged marriage trope and there are some good spicy moments but I wish Capri had been written with more maturity.

This is the first book that I've read from this author and this is a mafia romance read, marriage of convenience, rom com vibes, grumpy sunshine with a bit of enemies to lovers romance.

Rocco is a lawyer and is the best at what he does and he's been a lawyer to the mafia.
This is two mafia families at war after Rocco finds himself up against Sonny a rival family.
Rocco is in danger and needs protection because his choices in the past have come back to haunt him and he and his daughter need help. Stanzo agrees to help but only if Rocco agrees to let his daughter marry Stanzo's son.

These characters did have chemistry and good banter. And they both take the challenge of this arranged marriage, this story is very much and Insta lust story and has alot of spice and alot of humour inside this mafia romance.
I couldn't really connect with the characters as much as I wanted to for some reason.
This book is a good story kinda what you expect from a typical mafia romance. But I think it was missing alittle more darkness and alittle more mafia if you know what I mean. But this is written well and I will look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Delivered in White is the fourth book of the Dark Ties and is a dark mafia romance. Capri has been able to avoid the life of a mafia girl even with her father being a mafia lawyer. All that changes when her father finds himself in trouble because of a bad sentencing and both him and Capri are in danger. To save her he arranges for her to marry a mafia hit man, Tristano, who promises to keep her safe. Well that doesn’t sit well with either because while there is a physical attraction the two couldn’t be more different. The banter between the two characters is amazing. I enjoyed them fighting the chemistry they had and the jealousy the two had when other men or women gave them attention. Capri was forced into a new world and leave behind her life as a lawyer. She embraced the new role her husband put her in. When the two finally admitted to their feelings we got some really good steamy scenes and I loved how she made him work for it. This book had you intrigued from the first page and i thoroughly enjoyed this read. Will definitely be looking forward to more from this author.

The mix of humor and dark mafia drama brought a refreshing twist to my usual mafia romance reads.

RATING: 3.5/5

Trino, a hit man, is tasked with fulfilling his dying father's wish: to marry and give him grandchildren. When a mafia lawyer botches a deal, the solution is an arranged marriage between Trino and the lawyer’s daughter, Capri. What follows is a chaotic yet funny journey, complete with a steamy car shootout and Capri's unexpected turn as a stripper, despite being a reserved lawyer.

The witty banter and intense chemistry between Trino and Capri make for a quick, fun read full of tension and action. Capri’s inner dialogue adds charm, and her evolving relationship with Trino shows depth, though more insight into Trino’s mysterious side would have been a welcome addition.

Capri has been living the charmed life, doing what makes her happy until one day her dad gets himself into a situation and she has to keep him from getting himself killed. Tristano is a hit man along with his father and when his dad makes a dying wish he will do what it takes to make him happy. Capri and Tristiano have great chemistry and the banter was fantastic. You get action, steam. instant attraction, hilarious banter along with a strong MFC and an alpha Mafia MC who becomes the family man his father always wanted him to be. I love how Capri really took on the life she was thrown into and gave it her all. She knew what she wanted and went for it, she also made Tristiano work for it and wow it was steamy. The story is fast paced and you wont be able to put it down. I have never read a book by this author before but I will definitely be reading more. I was given this book as an ARC for my honest review.

🌶️ 🌶️

This is a first from Sara for me. I liked the blurb and it was great read..
Although it was Mafia story, I liked that it was quite heavy in the humour.
Capri is very quirky, unique and sarcastic. To save her father she had to marry Trino. He is the best enforcer and will protect her.
Trino is too busy with all his legit businesses and the his illegal assassination jobs with his father. He spends nights with different women and isn't looking to settle. His father is dying and this was his opportunity to get his son to find love.
Capri adjusts to situations so easily and just gets on with everyone. I loved how she annoyed him from the word go, with all her crazy facts and sarcasm.
She need to hide in plain sight to be protected. It wasn't until her life is in danger that makes him realise that he loves her.
Lots of drama, action, humour, emotional, love and spice. This was an easy quick read.

This book wasn’t terrible but it just wasn’t for me. I enjoy mafia romance and arranged marriages so I had some hopes for this one. The names are a bit much for me to try to spell so I will refer to them as T and C. So these two have an instant connection but deny it to themselves and everyone else for quite some time. I understand T’s idea for hiding C but those scenes were a bit cringey. C withholding sex from T got a bit old as time went on, I understood T’s frustration there. And then when she did give in, it wasn’t a sexy scene in the least. I just felt like there was no chemistry between the 2 main characters. I did read it to completion, hoping for something great to happen. I really don’t remember what all happened but I do know that early on I decided it would be a 3 star read.
I was given a copy of this book for free in return for an honest review.

Capri, daughter of a lawyer for the five mob families, finds herself in the most precarious of positions when her father fails to get one of his clients acquitted. Capri’s father calls in a favor from a man they call “The Glove”, and when he shows up with his son, Trino, the hilarity ensues from there.

Trino’s father then has the “genius” idea that Trino and Capri need to get married in order to save Capri’s life (what a romantic proposal!). However, in order for Trino to ensure that Capri is safe, he literally forces her into the LAST job you would ever imagine. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤣

With another mob family searching for Capri’s father, Capri’s life is also in danger, and Trino does everything he can to make sure she stays alive.

This was my first ever book from Sara Vice, but it certainly won’t be my last. I loved the entire story from start to finish — it immediately pulls you in and keeps you wanting more the entire time!

I absolutely adored this story. It was so fun and suspenseful but also decently spicy!

Both MCs are very likable and the banter between the two of them is so addicting. Trino is an absolute doll and I fucking adore him. Capri you are one sassy gal and I’m here for it.

Stanzo you really stole the show though, I love you big guy.

A few things didn’t really make the most sense to me. Such as the job she HAD to do. I get hiding in plain sight but it just felt weird and unnecessary. Also everyone at work calling Trino.. ya know. Then her calling him it during sex made it unsexy considering how many other girls call him that.

But overall, this story was a wild ride that I would take many times over.

A nice take on the arranged marriage trope. Two people who are willing to do anything it takes to help or make their father happy. His father is dying, and all he wants is to see his son married to a nice woman. Her father is in danger, screwing over the wrong family created a hit out on his head. She's marrying to keep her father safe. Little did they know how perfect they were for another.

She's feisty and willing to keep him on his toes. He brings her comfort and safety, giving her the freedom to do what she wants to do. Both are more than they seem. As they play husband and wife they learn more and more about one another. Until they can't deny it anymore.

It's a good quick read.

LOVED THIS BOOK!

Omg. Perfect combo of drama, laughter and sexiness between the main characters, Trino and Capri. The books starts rt in the middle of a scene. At first I was a little confused at what was happening and then it just took off. I love mafia romance. Sometimes there’s too much detail and it takes too long to get to the next scene…aka over explaining. This author did a great job not doing that. This book has some standard mafia violence but it wasn’t bad at all. The story focused more on the main characters building a relationship. The energy and banter between The main characters is great! So funny! I highly recommend this story. Thank You Sara vice. I look forward to reading your other work:)

I’m a sucker for a quippy FMC paired with a grumpy bad boy MMC. Sprinkle in some mafia and a marriage of convenience where they inevitably fall hard for each other and I’ve practically got hearts in my eyes. Capri is an environmental lawyer with a goal of saving the world but when her criminal defense lawyer dad ends up in hot water with the mob, her only choice to save their lives is to marry the hot (grumpy) hitman son of her dad’s former client. Banter, shoot outs, and strip clubs later, it’s happily ever after. And surprisingly, I cried ugly tears at the end. But like, in a good way.

I received a copy of this book from the publisher/author to review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

This this the story of Capri and Trino. His father is dying and wants his son to be married so that he is able to see his grandchildren. Her father is a lawyer and in some serious trouble. She needs his help and he needs a wife. This book does have it's twists and turns and I am really not sure yet how I feel about laughing reading a Mafia romance. There are quite a few moments of comedy in this book. But you also have a Mafia hit man who is really good at what he does. You just need to experience this book for yourself.

look it’s not for everyone but nice for a car ride

It was cringe in parts and I sort of hated that the FMC couldn’t really be a lawyer or talk back but she had her own power and it was a nice, cozy, fluffy mafia romance. I do wish there was more relationship building between the MMCs like showing how they are getting to know each other outside of obnoxious bantering. But it was fun ! Also I loved some of the other strippers, I wish they would have developed more those relationships with the FMC because I thought it was nice that there was some friendships that formed and it would have been nice to see that.

OMG, this was fantastic. It was a romcom mafia but it worked so well, I don't even know how.
The chemistry between Cipriana and Tristano was off the charts. Their push and pull was not only entertaining but so good. Their hate and the fact that neither of them wanted to be stuck with the other was the cherry on top.
I loved Cipriana, she was not afraid to speak her mind and wasn't afraid to challenge Tristano.
And Tristani tried to pretend he didn't care about her but it was so obvious he did.
They were amazing, and them together was just explosive

I found it difficult to connect with the characters in this story, Tristano (Trino) and Cipriano (Capri). The arranged/forced marriage and mafia tropes were good. What didn't fit was Capri's drastic change in personality. She went from a shy, introverted lawyer wanting to save the world to being forced to 'hide in plain sight' by Trino in his club and pole dancing in practically nothing. I struggled with this book and really had to fight to keep reading at the beginning. Once I settled into the book, it was a lot easier to read.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐/5
Dark Mafia and on top of that arrange marriage, yes please gimme gimme!!!

I really enjoy this book, I love the banter between Cipriana and Tristano was amazing. Their chemistry is out of this world, their push and pull was really enjoyable to read. The fact that they both wanted nothing to do with each other made their happy ending way much better. I love how feisty Cipriana was, and how aloof Tristano pretends to be. This is definitely a must read, especially if you love arranged marriage!

The last book in the Dark Ties series with tropes of dark romance, mafia romance, and arranged marriage, that ends in a HEA.

The FMC, Cipriano, is forced to enter an arranged marriage with Tristano in order to save her father, as part of Tristano's father's dying wish. The bickering between the two is very entertaining to read, and despite both of them not wanting the marriage arrangement, when Cipriano is taken by her father's enemies, Tristiano will do whatever it takes to get his wife back. When they finally admit their feelings to one another, the spicy scenes that we get are 🔥

Laughter, tears, and hotness

This story had it all. I really wish a miracle happened but overall this book was good. Capri got on my nerves at times because girl act like he helping you. She has emotions and a lot. I wish I had grabbed the earlier books in the series first. What I do like, though, is while previous book characters show up the plots aren't so intertwined that you have spoilers outside of known they got their happily ever after. That makes it easy to go back and read the previous books.

Easily The Best Book Of The Series!

This book is a full on romantic comedy. It has plenty of tropes that are classics for very good reasons.
A ditzy lawyer Cipriani (Capri) meets an OCD hitman. Capri’s father is a is also a lawyer he’s made his reputation by defending mobsters. The only trouble is that his most recent case is the definition of guilty and the evidence is irrefutable. This calls for drastic action in the form of the mob world’s best hitman. His price, he wants Capri to marry his son and settle down.

Quality mafia romance! This is my first title from this author so I came in with no expectations. The spice is hot, the story is interesting, and the characters are endearing enough that their arrangement transitions from seething to loving in a way that feels genuine.

✨Thoughts✨
Capri and Trino found themselves in an arranged marriage due to Capri's father's involvement with the mafia. In order to protect Capri from the dangerous situation, she strikes a deal with Trino’s father.

𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 book was so much fun. The main characters had a playful dynamic and their banter was both entertaining and amusing. Capri's feisty personality clashed with Trino's gruff exterior, creating an interesting dynamic between them. While the story had its intense moments, it was not overly dark and the romance between Capri and Trino was filled with steamy tension.

𝐅𝐚𝐧𝐬 of mafia romance and marriage of convenience tropes will surely enjoy this story.

Trino is my new book boyfriend. I have fallen in love with him. 🖤 This book has such a good plot! There’s spice, banter, love, the whole shebang. The only downside was a few “cringy” words here and there (such as banana, rod, and golden lips) & it felt like the story kind of got dragged out at the end. However! I know it was the author giving the audience closure to everything that happened throughout the book, which I’m happy about!
