Marella is a witch with one goal in rid her kingdom of the demon filth that plagues it.
Until an encounter with a future-telling scree demon forces a vision upon her that predicts her death, and Marella’s life turns into a race against time to stop the vision from coming true.
But still, demons need to be exterminated, and someone has to keep the kingdom safe. Even if it means taking bigger risks herself.

Fenris, a witch hunter, has lived his entire life inside Crayton Castle. He has been raised to believe that both demons and witches are evil, and need to be eradicated.
But then Fenris saves a young witch from death … twice ...
And one of those times, the witch is trying to stop a demon from murdering his princess …
As Fenris’s life becomes increasingly entangled with this odd witch, he’s drawn into her desperate mission to save herself. But helping her goes against everything he’s ever known, everything he’s ever believed.
Can he set aside his own nature, and accept hers, before her vision comes true? Or is her fate impossible to change?
I was lucky enough to be chosen as an ARC reader for this book. Echoes of Fate is a fast-paced and easy read - a great place to start if you are new to fantasy. The world building is simple to understand, and the overall storyline was intriguing and left me with lots of questions. The demons in the story were original, and I didn't see the plot twist coming. It's an enjoyable read and a great debut!
This book was amazing. I was lucky enough to be an ARC reader for this one and I really enjoyed it. The banter, the connections, seriously amazing. Jess is such a great writer and I really can’t wait for book 2!!! The relationship felt slightly rushed but that could be because I usually read books that are a lot thicker so maybe that’s a me problem. I don’t think it took away from the book at all though, it was brilliant.
How does a mother tell her daughter how incredibly proud I am of her she has come so far in her life to now being this incredible beautiful women and now author of a amazing book that blew me away. Creating a story that flowed characters that had you wanting to know more about them, twist and turns you never thought about and the cliff hanger ending. My heart swells with so much love for your accomplishment and dedication to writing your book to all your amazing friends that have helped you along the way to Luke and Alice thank you for your support and love for Jess Fuller. Thank you Jess for bringing the love & joy of reading back to me that I thought I had lost. Thank you for choosing me as your mumma forever and Always 🩷
This is a beautifully written fantasy about demons, witches and witch hunters...need i say more??
Okay I will!
Our main characters are Marella and Fenris. She's a fire witch, who sees her own death by vision when fighting a demon to protect her village. He's a witch hunter, who has believed witches and demons to be evil, but then he crosses paths with Ella...
This gives me Romeo and Juliet vibes in terms of enemies to lovers. The relationship between the two felt almost instant and I feel like this could have been drawn out further to allow the readers time to see them grow. Especially as Fen had grown up despising all things witches 🤔 BUT I am also just a slow burn kinda girl 😉
Other than that the plot was great, there were unexpected twists that really added to the story and were placed well within it. THAT ENDING THOUGH... Jess....come on! Book 2 needed now please 🙏
Privileged that i got to read this book as an ARC for a fellow Aussie! I love supporting authors and spreading the love of their hard work, even better when its an Indie Aussie Author.
Celebrate the release of her book with me and get it! Such a great read! Thanks Jess and CONGRATULATIONS 🎊 👏
THIS BOOK! It grabbed me and pulled me right in from the start, never had a dull moment. I ended every chapter, just wanting more and more. 😍 I absolutely LOVE the main characters and felt somewhat quite connected to them. Even the side characters are absolutely brilliant, I was so completely invested in all of them.... Except for maybe Andras, that guy can go to hell! 😆 There was nothing in this book that made me think negatively about it what so ever. It had the perfect amount of adventure, romance, and twists that all just flowed wonderfully together.😍 I was absolutely SHOOKETH at the bombs that were dropped about Fenris in those final chapters. 😱 I absolutely can't wait to see where Jess takes this series from here... I will be waiting ever so impatiently for the next instalment. 🤭 Great work on this debut novel. My first 5 star read of 2025! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was lucky enough to beta read this for Jess and it’s so good if it does give crimson moth vibes so if you loved that you will love this i can’t wait for people to read it
Who doesn’t love demons witches and witch hunters all thrown into one story together keep an eye out for when this releases
Echoes of Fate is a fast-paced tale full of twists and turns throughout. We meet Marella, a fire witch who lives on the outskirts of Hayselwood in a cottage with Hulda, a friend and healer. Helping townsfolk with their ailments and ridding the world of demons, she keeps herself busy. One day whilst fighting a demon, she is shown a vision… her own death!
Fenris our MMC is a Witch Hunter, his whole life he has been told that witches and demons are evil and must be eradicated. When his and Ella’s paths unexpectedly cross, will he be able to set his beliefs aside to help her before her vision comes true?
This book definitely kept me on my toes and hooked me in with several plot twists, that I really didn’t see coming. I read the entire book in less than 24 hours!
Some things that unfortunately fell short for me was the slightly confusing relationship between the FMC and MMC. It felt like they went from 0-100 without much explanation and it didn’t give the reader time to really fall in love with the characters and their story. It just felt a little all over the place and needed more fleshing out for me to become truly invested in it.
Overall a great debut novel that leaves you wanting more with that sneaky cliffhanger.
I had fun reading this one. While I wouldn't consider it a high fantasy (if that's what you're hoping), it is a short and sweet fantasy.
Great for those readers who want something that moves quickly in world and character development with a slow burn romance.
I did find the main characters love story moving a bit too quick once things got a little spicy, but I also personally enjoy a angsty romance.
This book definitely promotes a healthier relationship between our main characters unlike a lot of romantasy stories. It explores a literal Enemy to Lovers story, Romero and Juliet vibe.
Demons, Witches, Magic, Witch Hunters, Runes and Wards. Good and Evil.
The little plot twists and turns were placed so beautifully and all pulled together to dangle you off a cliff. You didn't slip. You were shoved and frozen waiting to plunge into book 2 when it finally comes!
Overall I enjoyed this read. I am so excited to see how the Author's writing develops, how the series develops and most of all how our characters journey continues.
A witch hellbent on eradicating demons and a witch hunter raised to destroy her kind must put aside everything they believe when a deadly prophecy ties their fates together—forcing them into a race against time, trust, and the dark truths of their world.
This book was a quick, easy-to-read romantasy that definitely kept me entertained. I’d seen it described as a slow burn, friends-to-lovers story, but to me, it felt more like insta-love. While the characters were raised to hate each other, they became fast friends—and even faster lovers. The world-building and character development were easy to follow, which I appreciated, but I did feel like everything moved a bit too quickly and could’ve used a bit more depth. That said, there were definitely moments that made me smile and kick my feet. And the plot twists? Completely unexpected. I did not see them coming, and they’ve left me genuinely curious to see where the next book will go.
I was lucky to read an arc of Jess’s amazing debut novel, Echoes of Fate. Thank you Jess, for letting me read it early.
Whether you’re a newbie to the fantasy genre, or a seasoned veteran, you are going to find the characters, magic and world-building unputdownable. The pacing of the story was quick and engaging. The alternating POVs of the two main characters showed a lot of complexities in the characters as well as character growth. I loved the overall plot, which was sprinkled with lots of twists and turns and cliffhangers that will leave you on the edge of your seats.
The one and only dislike I have…is I don’t have the second book! Damn it Jess, I need it now! If you haven’t already preordered, get those fingers clicking over to Amazon now, because you won’t want to miss out on this thrilling ride!
Marella is a witch, witches are feared by the townspeople and are hunted by witch hunters, nevertheless she is determined to rid the kingdom of demons. During an encounter with a scree demon she gets a vision of her death and embarks on a mission to change her fate.
Fenris is a witch hunter, he has been raised to believe that witches are evil. When he encounters Marella killing a demon in order to save the princess he is conflicted and aids the witch when she is badly injured by the demon.
As his life becomes entangled with Marella, he aids her on her mission to save her future and during this journey he learns more about witches but also about his own parents.
This was a fun cosy fantasy to read. For someone like me who isn’t a huge fantasy reader this was an easy and enjoyable read. The twists at the end have me hooked to read the next book in the series.
Omfg girl! You did it! You released your book! I absolutely loved this story, but I’m so mad about the ending!!!!Why?!??! My heart hurts!
I’m so excited to read more into this world, I’d really love to see more world building throughout the series, even some prequels with Logan, Fen and Lyra! Oh I need them growing up together already!
The story is great! With twists and turns that keeps the reader well gripped on what’s happening. I’d definitely love some other POVs as the series continues, especially Logan and Greta. I loved Greta!
What a wonderful debut novel! Little bit of spice at exactly 69% (did you do that on purpose?!) but overly wholesome characters (except for Andras of course) I’m very excited for book two!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I could not put this book down! Jess Fuller what a great book I am now waiting for Book 2.
Echoes of Fate tells the story of Marella (Ella) a witch who one day after an encounter with a Scree Demon has to go on an epic journey to change the fate she was given. Marella meets a Witch Hunter named Fenris who changes the way she see everything in her life. This story has twists and turns throughout and has an important message that everything is not always what it seems and you cant judge a book by its cover.
Echoes of Fate has so much magic and sorcery within, a little bit of spicy romance and friendships that last a lifetime.
Put a bit of magic into your day and please read Echoes of Fate
This was fantastic! I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and learning each character's role in Jess's FANTASTIC FANTASY debut novel. It truly has everything that makes a fantasy novel epic!! -enemies to lovers -supernatural beings -found family -revenge -prophecy -plot twists/secrets -secret identiy -found family
Reading Marella (Ella) and Fenris's relationship bloom across the pages through epic adventure, equally epic banter, was delightful. Andras had me wanting to throttle him. Princess Lyra's adventurous personality had me cheering her on, and gave me Princess Jasmine from Aladdin vibes. I also loved that there wasn't a character or place etc that I couldn't say! 😆🙌 For an Indie Author debut novel, Jess Fuller absolutely smashed it!! Excited to jump into Shadows of fate to see what comes next!! 😻
This is Jess first book she has written and have to say WOW WOW WOW.
Echos of Fate is so gripping I couldn’t put it down. Fantastic plot, characters, demons and locations, the book was so easy to read and flowed beautifully.
While reading I was taken on a journey and I didn’t know what was coming next, so many surprises throughout the book. The cliffhanger was great, I need the second book like now. Hope you’re writing Jess.
This book does make you realise that things are not as they seem and you need to look above someone’s appearance or what you have been told about them.
What an absolutely incredible book. If you love authors like Natasha Madden, then you'll love this one too! When fate causes Ella and Fen to cross paths, though they are enemies, a forbidden romance blossoms. Filled with all the good fantasy vibes, spice, and with an ending that leaves you begging for more. Jess Fuller's debut novel is one you just can't miss. I fell in love with the characters and the story that was written so beautifully. I honestly never put it down and stayed up past 1 am just to finish. I definitely look forward to reading the next book by Jess. (Hopefully soon because that ending....)
for my second fantasy book i now just want to read fantasy! the plot twist was AMAZING, the story line AMAZING, the characters AMAZING, the demons AMAZING, the whole book UNBELIEVABLE. if you’re reading my review to see if you should buy the book YES YOU SHOULD. i loved the witch X witch hunter romance!
dear our sweetest jess, you’re an amazing writer and i have no idea why you doubted your self with this book, i absolutely loved it and i can’t wait for the rest of the series!!! please keep writing, i will be buying every book of yours!
Instantly hooked me! I personally tend not to dapple in fantasy/romantasy as I enjoy faster paced reads and I find the world building tends to be a little slow… BUT this book right here has made me reconsider, just maybe I haven’t found the right types of fantasy. I’m not sure what Jess put in this book but it hooked me right away, the characters, each with their own stories and the magical world she has created within these pages is something I can not get enough of! 🫶🏼
There are twists and turns and you’ll be sitting on the edge of your seat towards the end! I need book two ASAP please!
Whilst it took me a hot minute to start this book, from the time the characters were introduced, I was hooked! All the characters seemed to be on their own self-discovery journeys and inner conflicts running high!
I can't wait to see where they go next and how they get out of the current 'sticky situations' they are in.
P.s. I still want to know what Andras aka Branding Iron Man is up to 👀
A witch and a witch hunter go on an adventure.... TOGETHER!
No this isn’t enemies to lovers or that fake version crap. It’s a Slow burn Fantasy with a side of romance. One spicy moment with a few sweet/cute moments too.
Writing is a hard task and making your debut in the Fantasy world is one of the most challanging I have found but Jess has done an amazing job of it and I look forward to the next installment and watching her grow from here..
I gobbled this up in one sitting. I could not put it down. From the first few pages it had me. I loved the character and world building. I feel I had a good sense of where I was and could picture the castle, the church, the Tavern, right down to Ella's cottage where she loved with Hulda. I cannot wait to jump back into this world and see where the next adventure takes me. Demon's, witches, hunters, adventure, romance and secrets. This book had it all.
This is a great debut from Jess, perfect for anyone who loves a book with witches, witch hunters and demons with a little bit of spice. Throw in some hidden identities and mythical weapons, it's quite an adventure!
And that cliffhanger, hopefully Jess won't keep us waiting too long to find out what happens next!
Thank you Jess, and I'm so sorry it's taken me so long to finish it and review it.
What a breath of fresh air this book is! It's truly gotten me out of a reading slump. It's quick, fast paced, fun and I absolutely adore the characters.
If you need something that's going to hook, line and sinker your feelings and leave you at the edge of your seat, then this is for you!
I finished Echoes Of Fate in 3 days which is a rare feat for me, I then got straight on the Net and ordered the next book in the duology from Jess.
Echoes is such a smooth easy read, the characters pop into your head and take residence, there are twists you don't see coming and the ending? Jeesuz!!!
Amazing story ! Completely original storyline . The story flows flawlessly, keeps you on the edge of your seat with action and adventure! I love Fenris and Marella! And cannot wait to see how this story evolves! Witches, witch hunters, demons, princesses and kings. What more could you want !!!
This story was really fast-paced, which I enjoyed. I also really enjoyed the whole witch/witch hunter dynamic. Marella is such an interesting character and I can’t wait to see what happens next with her and Fenris.
What a cliffhanger, though. I can’t wait to see what happens next
This was so good ! It has kept me on my toes and i was instantly hooked with several plot twits that i didnt see coming. Oh that cliffhnager got me so good and cant wait till i read the next book in this series
Perfect for those who are new to fantasy, or deep in the genre. The world is immersive and the characters are fully formed. Maybe hold off if you don’t like cliffhangers though, I need to read book 2 immediately.
