Cristiano Ronaldo is the world famous Manchester United and Portuguese International footballer, admired around the world for his unique style of play. Football fans recognise instantly how he dribbles the ball, but there's a great deal about him that has never been made public before. Cristiano recognises that his youth does not yet give him the right to produce an autobiography, and "Moments" does not set out to be one. It is an invitation to the reader to share with him some of the most fantastic moments of his career so far, and get to know him a little better. As well as an array of sumptuous photographs Cristiano Ronaldo gives his thoughts about his life so far, both on and off the pitch."Moments" relates the story of his love of football from early childhood in Madeira; the homesickness he suffered as a result of the move, aged 12, to a football academy in Lisbon; through to his time with Manchester United, the club which has really made him famous and turned him into a football idol at only 22 years of age. He speaks of his love of playing for his country and the love and support of his family, as well as the sad moments in his life such as the death of his father. The book also shows glimpses of him training and enjoying his leisure time, the charity work he involves himself in, as well as off-field activities in both his professional capacity and for pleasure. He hopes that through these stories, and beautiful photographs by Jorge Monteiro, you will get to know Cristiano Ronaldo a little better. As you finish reading the last line he also trusts you will have enjoyed the book with the same enthusiasm you would get from watching him play football.

Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, OIH (Portuguese pronunciation: [kɾɨʃˈtiɐnu ʁuˈnaɫdu]; born 5 February 1985) is a Portuguese footballer who plays as a winger for Spanish club Real Madrid and serves as captain of the Portuguese national team. Ronaldo currently holds the distinction of being the most expensive player in football history after having transferred to Real Madrid in a deal worth £80 million (€94m, US$132m). His contract with Real Madrid is also expected to make him the highest-paid player in the world.

Ronaldo began his career as a youth player at CD Nacional and his successes with the team led to a move to Sporting Clube de Portugal two seasons afterwards. Ronaldo's precocious talent caught the attention of Manchester United manager Alex Ferguson and he signed the 18-year-old for £12.24 million in 2003. The following season, Ronaldo won his first club honour, the FA Cup, and reached the UEFA Euro 2004 final with Portugal, in which tournament he scored his first international goal.

In 2008, Ronaldo won his first UEFA Champions League title, and was named player of the tournament. He was named the FIFPro World Player of the Year and the FIFA World Player of the Year, in addition to becoming Manchester United's first Ballon d'Or winner in 40 years.

Three-time Ballon d'Or winner Johan Cruyff said in an interview on 2 April 2008, "Ronaldo is better than George Best and Denis Law, who were two brilliant and great players in the history of United."

There were two reasons i chose this book. First, Cristiano Ronaldo, the author of this book, was my role model and this book is his autobiography. I love football and his sincere life style. He described all of his life in this book. Secondly, it gave me how to spend the rest of my life. He wrote his way how to be a successful man and how to make my own way.
This year, Cristiano Ronaldo has been nominated to 'Ballon d'or', the award which is given to the best football player of a year. The reason that i chose him a interesting character is because of his diligence. He never stop to improve himself. For example, according to the book, he does a extra weight training including 3000 sit ups every night. Also he never drink, smoke for his health.
My favourite quote from this book- “I am not a perfectionist, but I like to feel that things are done well. More important than that, I feel an endless need to learn, to improve, to evolve, not only to please the coach and the fans, but also to feel satisfied with myself. It is my conviction that here are no limits to learning, and that it can never stop, no matter what our age.” ― Cristiano Ronaldo. It's the most admirable quote of the book for me because it reveals his diligence which is the mind never stop developing he's own self.
After i read the book, i felt that it made me to take seriously how should i fulfil my dream, either what must be needed or must not be needed.

An intense young man with an extraordinary talent, passionate about his game and with great ambition. The parts of this book I liked the most were: his account of his family relationships and his affection for his family, his apparent thirst for knowledge and desire to see the world and his love for the game.

It strikes me that CR is still like a small child in many ways and, interestingly, his family seems to sense that and rallies around him. This is an impressive rags-to-riches story. It's interesting to note that a footballer's life is really rather empty, and footballers feel it very necessary to say how the other things in their lives mean more than the ball while maintaining that the ball is the centre of their lives.

I'm not a football fan. In the absence of a national team for my own country, I support FC Portugal as the nearest alternative. And that is how I discovered CR7. I'm not disappointed.

A really good book, describing Cristiano’s youth all the way to his first Premier League title in 2007. It is a very genuine, honest and sometimes even feels like Ronaldo just splattered his story on to paper, which I appreciated and liked. Sometimes he would mention something and explain it later on, which I found interesting. It shows his journey throughout his entire life, not just with Soccer but even with personal challenges or even ones with his family. It is truly his story, with his “memories”.

I really like this book, here is a small portion of the book. Moments by Cristiano Ronaldo, at this time in 2007. Cristiano Ronaldo was considered one of the best prospects in Football, along with Lionel Messi. Cristiano signed for Manchester United in 2003, so by 2007, we were not new to the team. Many people judge a player on how he acts on the field, we all know how things can get tense especially when you get into a fight, and you're losing. Ronaldo wrote this book to encourage the football fans or anyone to look at how much hard work it took for him to reach the level where he is today. He wrote this book to show the world that he isn't arrogant and that he cares about everyone, not just himself. many players get nervous. This can relate to a player named Zlatan, he is very arrogant and many fans don't like him because of that, but something bad always has to happen for someone to have respect for the person they dislike. I can relate to this because when I used to play in my old travel team they used to call me selfish or arrogant since I thought I was the best. But actually, I just said those things to myself to boost up my confidence when I get into a game, I also get nervous but just pushing yourself and saying you're the best will help you get through and fight for your team. Cristiano Ronaldo wants to show everyone how he is, and show the world that he is a nice and cool person to be around.
