I had a hard time finishing this book, I considered dnf it more than a couple of times but I read it.
First of all, in case you want to read the series or just this one note that the first part of this book is the short story The Royal Rebel so you don't have to read the separate book.
The reason why I didn't enjoy this book at all is that, in my humble opinion, there was no plot or character development in it. I think that almost the whole book was just a bunch of scenes with the H and the h together, nothing more. As for the characters, even though the author describes the heroine as independent, sassy and rebellious there's nothing that made me feel that this was the truth. I didn't feel any connection with them and I've definitely read about couples with more chemistry between them.
Also, something that I really didn't like was that even though their intimate scenes were only two or three they were quite extensive and I had to skip them.
This is just something I noticed and I wanted to mention it. There's a scene from the first night they spend together that in this book is told from Stellan's pov and in The Royal Rebel is told from Margot's pov. What I noticed is that the author uses the EXACT same phrases. I didn't like this at all, in my opinion it's not normal for two different people (please note that they're almost strangers) to think the same way. Yes, the scene is the same but their thoughts can't be.
I'm pretty disappointed with this book and I'm not sure if I'll read the next one in the series. To be honest I'm not sure I'll read from this author again, both this book and His Best Friend's Little Sister didn't work for me.

This book was kind of a rush. Royal stories are usually hit or miss with me because I can find them unrealistic at times. I didn't ever really feel that with this book. At least, not as a whole. Sure, there were times that I questioned certain things in the story but I felt that the world-building adequately portrayed real-life situations. Even if those situations are out of the norm for us regular folk.
The writing style was a little scattered for me. I found the narration to be a little bland and overall not very warm. The writing voice was just missing a little bit of spark. At the same time, I also found it easy to read once I got into the story more. The pacing felt a little slow at the start but once I was hooked on the story it didn't bother me much. I think that the author handled the plotting of the story really well but I felt that the conflict kind of petered out at the end and everything wrapped up a little too nicely. I was very invested in the story and definitely found myself turning the pages quickly.
At the beginning I didn't really connect with these characters but as time went on I felt myself really attached to them and their story. They really grew on me. In the end, I found them really relatable and likable. I felt that the character development was done very well and the character growth was evident by the end of the book. I also very much liked the secondary characters in the story and I can't wait to see more of them in future books in this series.
The romance in this book was really more of an instalove situation, which I admit isn't my favorite. Though I can't deny that Stellan and Margot had definite chemistry. Instalove aside, I was still rooting for this couple.
Overall, this is a royal story that will rile you up and leave you satisfied. This has a riveting story, enjoyable characters, and terrific world-building. I am very excited for the rest of the books in this new series!

Arriva proprio oggi, per la Heartbeat Edizioni, Vivian Wood che, con Il mio perfido principe, dà via alla Denmark Royal Series.
In questo primo volume andiamo a conoscere la storia di Margot, un’esuberante ragazza newyorkese, dai folti capelli rosa e dal vestiario un po’ eccentrico, col sogno di diventare una giornalista. La sua vita cambia improvvisamente quando si lancia in un’avventura di una notte con un misterioso ragazzo.
Sì, perché Stellan altri non è che il principe ereditario di Danimarca, e quando la loro bollente notte di passione finisce inevitabilmente sui giornali scandalistici la prima cosa da fare è correre ai ripari.
È così che Margot si ritrova in Danimarca, fianco a fianco di Stellan nelle vesti di giornalista.
La quotidiana vicinanza non aiuta però a far mantenere le distanze, a soffocare quella passione che è divampata sin dal loro primo incontro.
Sono due persone completamente diverse, provengono da educazioni e mondi opposti.
Una ragazza con un passato fatto di stenti, di assenze e di sbagli, sopravvissuta solo grazie alla sua forza di volontà, e un uomo che apparentemente ha tutto, è un principe, cosa avrà mai di cui lamentarsi? Ma di cui scopriamo invece fragilità e impotenza per gli obblighi che il suo ruolo comporta. Obblighi che diventeranno ancora più gravosi nell’esatto momento in cui dovrà salire al trono.
Riusciranno a trovare la giusta chiave, il giusto equilibrio per far funzionare il loro rapporto?
Questa potrebbe quasi sembrare la storia di Cenerentola in un certo qual senso, anche se non ci sono sorellastre cattive. Una semplice comune mortale alle prese con un principe affascinante e impetuoso, pronto a mettere nelle sue mani il proprio regno.
Peccato, però, che qualche piccolo scivolone l’autrice lo abbia già fatto alle prime pagine, limitando purtroppo il piacere della mia lettura, su alcune cose però non riesco a sorvolare.
Non ho amato per nulla il modo con cui viene affrontato un argomento serio, quello della droga, che invece viene fatta passare con leggerezza e superficialità. Anzi peggio, come se fosse quasi la normalità doverne fare uso per divertirsi in un locale.
Altra situazione non proprio vincente è che il rapporto carnale tra i due, oltre ad avvenire troppo presto nella storia, non è passionale ma piuttosto volgare, sia per come alcuni dettagli vengono descritti ma soprattutto per il linguaggio dai due utilizzato.
È quindi una lettura leggera, semplice, senza pretese o grandi sconvolgimenti emotivi, ma lancia sul finale uno scenario per la prossima storia e devo essere sincera che ha risvegliato la mia curiosità. Magari andrà meglio.

Stellen & Margot are magical, steamy, sexy fire!!
This is long overdue. I read this when it released but I couldn't find the words.
Listening to the audio book, as well as skimming the book again, my love for these two, and the upcoming stories, is reinforced.
From their instant chemistry when they met in New York, their hot hot night, the mess when reality intrudes, the unexpected reconnection, their antagonism to their fiery passion to their steamy bumpy journey to their HEA, I still love every word of this book.
Our introduction to the Love family (the royal family), Stellen's four siblings (Finn, Lars, Anders, and Annika), his Momse (Ida, his grandmother, and Queen mother), his best friend/secretary, Erik, & his parents, Goran & Thora. Plus we meet Pippa, Margot's best friend & close friend to Stellan's younger brother Lars.
Margot is a tough, independent, determined woman full of ideals, intelligence, and daring.
Stellen knows his duty, but he feels stifled by it. He realizes he wants Margot, not the plans his Momse has for him.
Unfortunately, the bumps in the road temporarily derail their destiny. And those bumps are not all exterior influences.
Thankfully, they both realize they can't live apart.
I love how their HEA comes together. And it doesn't follow the expected patterns.

The audio book was also very enjoyable. I haven't listened to Zachary Zaba before. He was a good Stellen, plus the other male parts. His female narration was okay. It didn't take me out of the book, so it was a good effort. I think the book might benefit from a female narrator also but it isn't a deal breaker. A solid performance overall. Vivian is story keeps you every step of the way

The Wicked Prince by Vivian Wood is 1st book in Dirty Royals series. This is Margot Keane and Stellan Augustus Love ( future King of Denmark) story. What a wonderful, wild, exciting read it was.
Margot meets Stellan (HRH) in America. She didn't know that he was royalty. They had this immediate connection, instant chemistry. They hooked up together and had a night of passion but things didn't end well. She ends up coming to Denmark for a work opportunity and is thrown back together with the sexy hot prince. Margot is this independent, sassy journalist while Stellan is intense, handsome, sexy, strong yet wickedly moody. This is a 2nd chance romance with angst at its finest. The passion, romance, magic, intrigue, drama and HEA will blow you away.

When Stellan first sees Margot he knows he wants her but can’t keep her and Margot has no idea who he his other then a handsome stranger. They have one night together thinking they will never see each other again until Margot gets a job where she has to write about the royal family, Stellan being next in line neither is to happy about this reunion. Cari lettori,
oggi vi parlo di Il mio perfido principe, primo libro della serie Denmark Royals, scritto da Vivian Wood ed edito da Hearthbeat Edizioni, un royal romance piccante come un peperoncino. Pronti a volare a Copenaghen?
Stellan, erede al trono di Danimarca, si trova a New York per rilasciare alcune interviste ed è proprio nella Grande Mela che incontra l'eccentrica Margot, alla quale decide di non rivelare la sua identità.
I due trascorrono una notte di passione ma l'indomani il principe scoprirà che Margot in realtà è una giornalista, categoria che evita come la peste. Questo fa allontanare bruscamente i due dal momento che la loro scappatella è arrivata persino alle orecchie della stampa.
Stellan torna immediatamente in patria al fine di contenere lo scandalo, ma ancora non può sapere che, Margot, verrà assunta da uno dei più importanti giornali danesi per intervistare proprio lui. Cosa accadrà tra il bel vichingo e la giornalista? Non vi resta che volare in Danimarca per scoprirlo!
Lui indietreggia, sfilandosi la maglietta scura dalla testa. Spalanco gli occhi sul torace robusto e le braccia muscolose; ha perfino degli addominali tesi, che credevano non esistessero veramente, se non nei film. È veramente un gigante, discendente dei vichinghi... questo è quello che mi dice il mio cervello surriscaldato, comunque.
Chi mi conosce, o chi ha avuto modo di leggere le mie precedenti recensioni, sa che ho una passione per i royal romance. Essendo cresciuta a pane e cartoni Disney, ogni qual volta si parli di principi e principesse, non posso assolutamente farmi scappare la lettura!
Diciamo che rispetto all'idea di principe azzurro che avevo da bambina, adesso ho una maggiore predilezione verso i principi che al contempo sono anche dei bad boy: capitolo ai loro piedi in meno di due secondi!

Potete immaginare la mia reazione quando mi sono ritrovata come protagonista maschile Stellan che rispecchiava a pieno questa caratteristica: il principe bad boy per eccellenza, arrogante, ribelle e sexy come pochi.
Stellan sembra un vero vichingo: alto, occhi di ghiaccio e con una prestanza fisica da far perdere la testa a qualsiasi donna che incroci il suo cammino.
Il nostro principe è altamente anticonvenzionale ed è proprio questo aspetto che mi ha fatto fantasticare sul suo personaggio.

Margot è una vera ribelle, con i suoi capelli rosa e il suo abbigliamento stravagante non passa di certo inosservata.
Ho adorato i suoi eccentrici outfit che penso copierò appena arriverà la bella stagione. La sua grande passione per la fotografia la farà avvicinare al giornalismo, campo in cui cerca di affermarsi. Ha un passato terribile alle spalle, così duro, fatto di stenti e sofferenze che le hanno permesso di diventare una donna indipendente e senza paura. È questo aspetto del suo carattere che mi ha fatto davvero apprezzare il suo personaggio, perché è riuscita a sollevarsi da sola e a costruirsi un futuro diverso da quello che tanti, invece, si aspettavano per lei.
Il rapporto tra Stellan e Margot fa scintille fuori e dentro la camera da letto e sono certa che anche voi amerete questa coppia per nulla convenzionale.

Ho toccato il fondo della società: per la previdenza sociale, per i miei genitori dispersi e per l'incertezza di non sapere da dove sarebbe arrivato il prossimo pasto. Sono stata senzatetto e perfino in affidamento minorile per un po'. Quello che ho imparato in tutto quel periodo è una fiera indipendenza e un genere di ostinazione che può far vergognare il diavolo stesso. E, per quanto ci provino, non riusciranno a togliermele.
Il romanzo contiene la novella iniziale Il principe e la ribelle, indispensabile per avere un quadro completo rispetto la storia, il rapporto tra i protagonisti e le circostanze in cui si sono incontrati.
La storia è narrata in prima persona a pov alternati, scelta stilistica che apprezzo sempre tantissimo perché mi permette di immergermi a trecentosessanta gradi nella narrazione.
Le scene passionali sono ben descritte e coinvolgenti, ma non prevalgono sul resto della storia, dando al lettore un giusto bilanciamento tra intimità e narrazione dei fatti.

Consiglio questo libro a tutti gli amanti dei royal romance, a chi ama le storie piccanti e a chi ha voglia di innamorarsi di un principe dai tratti nordici!

It's a beautiful, funny and wild story that keeps you on your toes! Every word written with the intention to make you feel!
Stellan comes off as an egotistical, over the top, funny character, but you find that he's just a man who has lost his way with a million responsiblites.
Margot is wild, sarcastic and determined with a big heart and pink hair that's just as reflective of her attitude to life!
They were each others wild cards, fated to meet.
Their chemistry was electric and like no other!
You'll fall for these characters, no doubt!
Vivian has done a stellar job at writing Stellan and Margot's story, capturing everything with utter perfection!
Definitely one of my top royal romance reads of 2020.

Stellan is the heir to the throne and although he knows what that means for his future in the present he is well aware of his appeal to the opposite sex. Margot is a breath of fresh air from her hair to her attitude and she has learnt the only person she can count on is herself. Under regular circumstances these two would never have met but when they do the chemistry ignites until their evening comes to a premature end in spectacular fashion.
They never expected to see each other again but when she finds herself in Denmark tasked with writing a story about Stellan they know that both their futures are contingent on them keeping their distance but that is easier said than done.
Their interactions are humorous and hot, the characters are compelling, their relationship is captivating and it will have you believing in happy ever afters.

The Wicked Prince is only wicked in the best ways possible! Stellan and Margot are HOT, HOT, HOT and their story will entrance you from the very start with steam and emotions. There are so many awesome elements that are thrown into this book and the author does a great job of breaking down the characters so you can put yourself in their shoes.
These two are complete opposites and from two VERY different worlds, but that is what makes the journey even more fun. All in all, I really liked the book and thought it had all of the boxes checked that you would like in your royal romance reads. Great job to the author, I give it 4.5 outta 5 stars!

The Wicked Prince included the prequel, The Prince & His Rebel. If you have already read it, you can skip ahead to the beginning of The Wicked Prince. It was a comical and sexy continuation of the prequel! They certainly did not loose that magical spark!
Stellan was born to a crown he did not want. He spent years rebelling before he was forced to start taking things seriously. The one thing he never saw coming was a pink haired, feisty, bombshell. Margot came crashing into his life but unlike the crown, she was something he wanted that he couldn’t have. Could he give into temptation without ruining lives?
It was a sweet, royal read. Vivian did a great job of mixing humor, love, and angst into a fun, modern day fairy tale!

This book is pretty standard non-royal heroine meets prince, sparks fly but they're on opposite ends of the life spectrum so they don't get along, and then eventually they realize they're perfect for each other.

I was addicted to Margot and Stellan’s story from the get go! Their chemistry is felt immediately! But one wild night she caught the eye of Stellan and now he can’t get her out! When these two are forced to work together and fight attraction they feel it causes some over the top arguments but also leads to some of the sweetest moments that will forever leave a mark on your heart!
Stellan is broody, moody and can be a down right jerk! But there’s more to him under all his aloofness! There’s a man who wants more than to just be a royal! He wants to be himself but doesn’t know how without disappointing all those around him! The only time he has ever felt alive has been with Margot but he knows he can’t keep her....or can he? Stellen & Margot are magical, steamy, sexy fire!!
This is long overdue. I read this when it released but I couldn't find the words.
Listening to the audio book, as well as skimming the book again, my love for these two, and the upcoming stories, is reinforced.
From their instant chemistry when they met in New York, their hot hot night, the mess when reality intrudes, the unexpected reconnection, their antagonism to their fiery passion to their steamy bumpy journey to their HEA, I still love every word of this book.

The audio book was also very enjoyable. I haven't listened to Zachary Zaba before. He was a good Stellen, plus the other male parts. His female narration was okay. It didn't take me out of the book, so it was a good effort. I think the book might benefit from a female narrator also but it isn't a deal breaker. A solid performance overall. Vivian is story keeps you every step of the way.
This is long overdue. I read this when it released but I couldn't find the words.
Listening to the audio book, as well as skimming the book again, my love for these two, and the upcoming stories, is reinforced.
From their instant chemistry when they met in New York, their hot hot night, the mess when reality intrudes, the unexpected reconnection, their antagonism to their fiery passion to their steamy bumpy journey to their HEA, I still love every word of this book.

I had many problems with this book. My first was why would somebody post a pic of their one-night stand on social media?? Why not some paparazzi catch them leave together? But I guess the book had to start somehow.
Another, if my BFF knew something huge about the guy I was hooking up with, they better tell me ie bad news, married, A PRINCE! Cause yeah I'd want to know about that fallout.
There were others, grammar that pulled me out of the moment to figure out what was trying to be said. Inconsistencies about what was going on in a scene. The h's pity party about how poor she was, blah blah.

I'm so mad I bought this on the strength of the first half/prequel book (The Royal Rebel). Everything that interested me in the first book (prince struggling with taking the throne who hooks up with an anarchist reporter) and is just thrown by the wayside. The "enemies" portion of "enemies to lovers" wasn't that fun either. There definitely should have been more fighting (at least internal in Margot's case!!!) about the role of the monarchy and the ultra rich. Instead we got soap opera levels of nonsense (Margot's mom and her boss come to mind) that just seemed forced and boring.

There was a lot of weird words in it. English is not my native language so maybe that’s why I didn’t understand a lot of words but with other books I don’t have this issue though. There were a lot of misspelled words too.
I don’t know how many times the author mentions ice blue eyes but it is a lot. I couldn’t feel their attraction.
I rolled my eyes so many times. The h acts all tough & she has this idgaf attitude but she seemed kinda weak in my eyes.

Il mio non saper resistere alle copertine particolari sta diventando un problema, leggerei tutto! Ma in questo caso quello che mi ha fatto dire di sì alla lettura de Il mio perfido principe, è stato quasi del tutto dipeso dal nome dell’autrice: Vivian Woods. In Italia è il suo primo romanzo, quindi non sapevo bene cosa aspettarmi, ma ero curiosa, e soprattutto mi sono fidata della casa editrice, che finora non mi ha mai deluso… quindi grazie Heartbeat Edizioni per avermi fatto scoprire una nuova autrice!
La storia sembra inizialmente un qualcosa di già visto: lui futuro Re che è in viaggio per un’intervista, lei una comune, si incontrano e nascono scintille. La differenza sapete qual è? Che per quanto i due si piacciano, almeno fisicamente, comunque non sanno nulla l’uno dell’altro e questo porta Stellan a dover tornare in fretta e furia a casa e Margot, a causa di una foto postata senza malizia, si ritrova a dover abbandonare l’unica città che ha sempre conosciuto.
“Esiliata da New York. In fuga verso la Danimarca. Perseguitata dai ricordi di un uomo che non era affatto chi pensava che fosse”.
I due sono molto diversi, prima di postare quella foto, lei non sapeva lui chi fosse. Quello che era stato un momento di svago, di piacere, di liberazione, è diventato quasi un incubo. Una volta aperti gli occhi si ritrova a vivere una situazione mai pensata e grazie a una sua amica prende la decisione di lasciare la sua casa, la sua città e il suo lavoro – anche se in realtà è stata licenziata.
Abituarsi a una nuova vita non è facile: lingua diversa, usanze diverse, lavoro diverso ma capo intrattabile. Per lei non è facile abituarsi, soprattutto quando l’incarico che le viene affibbiato ha a che fare con lui: il futuro Re della Danimarca. Era partita convinta di non vederlo più, di non sapere più nulla di lui, credeva di poter tornare alla normalità, invece… deve scrivere un articolo sui Reali e deve stare a stretto contatto proprio con lui. E sapete la cosa più assurda? Che l’idea è della Regina Madre. E tenete ben in mente che Margot non lo ha dimenticato. Quella notte ha provato qualcosa, ha sentito di essere speciale, non un oggetto e questo la porta a ripensare continuamente a quello che Stallen le ha fatto provare.
“Non rinuncerò mai ai miei sogni per un ragazzo, non importa chi lui sia. Non so cosa provo sull’amore in generale. Ci si può fidare?”.
Margot è un peperino, si capisce fin da subito, tanto che inizialmente credevo di trovarmi di fronte a una guerriera, ma alla fine posso quasi dire che questa è stata la storia di una Cenerentola che si salva da sola, che tiene alla sua indipendenza, che non si annulla per un uomo. Il rapporto tra Margot e Stellan non è solo condito da doveri, tra loro c’è molto piacere, infatti la storia è molto più piccante di quanto mi aspettassi, i loro sentimenti nascono man mano, anche se per ovvie ragioni si sprigiona tutto subito, ma la conoscenza avviene capitolo dopo capitolo, incombenza dopo incombenza. La famiglia di lui è molto presente, (devo ammettere di aver sopportato pochi di loro) ma è comprensibile visto il ruolo di lui. Lei è una piccola “trovatella”, che si è costruita da sola, con tanta forza, sudore e senza abbassare mai la testa. Quindi tutto sommato non avevo proprio torto a definirla una guerriera. Stellan ha un carattere ponderante, ma che per ovvie ragioni si trova a reprimere, ma non con lei. Con lei riesce ad essere sé stesso, anche se spesso si mostra perfido, o meglio dire… stronzo, ma forse è proprio questo che lo rende un personaggio interessante, con tante sfaccettature.
Personalmente ho trovato il romanzo molto scorrevole, e questo lo dico perché l’ho iniziato e finito nella stessa sera. Il rapporto tra i due è fino alla fine in salita: un po’ per i loro caratteri, un po’ perché non ci si dimentica mai che lui non è un ragazzo normale, un po’ perché lei, invece, è totalmente normale e decidere di cambiare vita non è semplice. La storia è davvero molto interessante, l’autrice è riuscita a caratterizzare bene tutti i personaggi, non solo i protagonisti, però sono dell’idea che ha trattato un argomento importante come la droga con fin troppa leggerezza, quasi come se farne uso non comporti nulla e sia quasi giusto. Tolto questo dettaglio, il libro mi è piaciuto e sono molto curiosa di leggere il secondo volume, che ci parlerà di un’altra coppia che tra queste pagine mi ha incuriosita parecchio.

Ho deciso di leggere questa autrice che non conoscevo assolutamente perché sono una fan dei royal romance e innamorata di Copenaghen, quindi qui in questo libro potevo combinare entrambi gli argomenti.
La scrittura dell'autrice e la traduzione pulita e scorrevole mi hanno subito conquistato, rendendomi la lettura piacevole, nonostante qualche punto nella trama che l'autrice inizialmente non ha approfondito e mi è rimasto appeso per parecchio.
Il mio cruccio ruotava tutto intorno al perché l'amica di Margot non fa menzione di chi siano questi amici che incontrano a New York in discoteca... dai quali poi parte tutto l'intreccio. Mi aspettavo almeno che Margot chiedesse subito dopo delle spiegazioni e invece non ammette nulla di rilevante. Inizialmente credevo che tutto potesse dipendere dal fatto che c'è un libro dedicato a Pippa e Lars, il terzo della serie, invece dopo la metà del libro è saltata fuori qualche spiegazione che ha finalmente sedato la mia curiosità; ma resta comunque poco credibile che due amiche non si dicano nulla di tutto questo a riguardo. Diciamo che sul lato amicizia la Wood non è mai andata troppo a fondo.
L'aspetto che invece ho apprezzato oltre alla traduzione e alla scrittura è il fatto che l'autrice ci mostra altro oltre l'aspetto da fiaba che ammanta un principe, ci racconta quello che vuol dire essere constantemente sotto i riflettori, a quanto poi effettivamente si sta rinunciando perché è vero si ha tutto, ma al tempo stesso tante cose che sono possibili ai semplici mortali, a loro sono precluse.
Un mondo che pare dorato e scintillante, ma invece è costellato di sacrifici e doveri a partire proprio dalla sua sfera privata, in quanto non gli è permesso di innamorarsi di una donna qualsiasi, ma sua nonna gli ha inviato una lista con le candidate ideali alla sua mano, nonché al trono di Danimarca.
Non sono interessato a lasciar gestire la mia vita fino a quel punto. Faccio tutto il resto secondo le regole, ma non sceglierò una ragazza insulsa da una lista di ragazze, scelte per il loro patrimonio e il loro desiderio di procreare. E' disgustoso.
La scrittura è infarcita di tantissimi dettagli o situazioni che sono sincera non hanno proprio tenuto salda la mia attenzione perchè avrei preferito vedere tutt'altre scene o ben altri dettagli, ma appena mi calava l'interesse arriva subito un "colpo di scena" a destare di nuovo la mia curiosità e farmi accelerare il ritmo di lettura per scoprire come si sarebbe conclusa questa improbabile storia d'amore. Perché beh il lieto fine nei rosa è garantito ma bisognava proprio capire come un principe, che non ha scelto di essere tale ma si sacrifica, e una giornalista, che viene praticamente dalla strada e non ha nulla, possano convolare a nozze.
La seconda parte del romanzo è più romantica, passionale e mette più in luce cosa significhi essere il futuro re di Danimarca e scegliere di essere la sua consorte.
Ovviamente non sarò io a svelarvi come si conclude questa fiaba moderna, posso solo dirvi che pensavo sarebbe stata più faticosa e stremata la loro unione visto la mole di pagine.
Per scoprirlo vi basterà deliziarvi con la lettura di questi due personaggi che sembrano apparentemente tanto diversi perchè provengono da estrazioni sociali inconciliabili, eppure si somigliano per altri aspettti. Senza dubbio tra di loro è scattata una chimica pazzesca, ma tra i due quella più cazzuta alla fine è Margot che si è fatta strada nella vita con le unghie e con i denti. Come dice anche l'autrice alla fine del romanzo lei ama scrivere di queste donne forti.
Sono una specie di Cenerentola, però io sono sia Cenerentola, sia il principe.
Nonostante qualche dubbio iniziale che vi ho esplicato, non vedo l'ora di leggere gli altri volumi della serie per scoprire cosa ci rivelereanno Erik e la principessina Annika, oppure Pippa e Lars.

In the story we get to meet Margot Keane, a New York journalist whose pink hair gives her a rebellious side to her. She is independent, outspoken and highly stubborn. It’s those qualities that manage to catch the attention of a handsome stranger at a venue, they drink and dance the night away. Yet, it’s their instant chemistry that brings them closer and they end up spending the night together. Margot is not afraid of being a little reckless, but she wasn’t expecting to find out that her handsome stranger would turn out to be the Crown Prince of Denmark. They go their separate ways until they are reunited again, this time she will working very closely with the prince. It’s clear that they still like each other, but things quickly take a different turn than she was expecting and Margot will have to decide if pursuing a relationship with Stellan is worth it or not.
Prince Stellan Augustus Love has it all, the looks, wealth and title to get just about any woman he could possibly want. But he can’t stop thinking about Margot and their night together. He knows more than anything that his duty to the crown comes first and can’t be distracted when it comes to the gorgeous journalist. The minute he finds out that Margot will be shadowing him for a piece she’ll be writing for the royal family that he can’t wait to have another night with her. It’s clear that they have feelings for each other, but he starts to wonder if she is ready to give up her old life in order to join his world. He’ll do anything in his power to make her his before it’s too late.
I absolutely loved reading The Wicked Prince, it was sweet, romantic and full of steamy moments between the characters that had me rooting for them until the very end. It’s evident that Stellan and Margot come from two different worlds. While Stellan was raised to one day be King, Margot was the struggling kid who had to grew up fast in order to survive. They both are independent and committed to their jobs. Although Stellan knows that he will be King, he still struggles to keep up with all the responsibilities that come with the role. On the other hand, Margot grew up with nothing and her major struggle is of fitting in within the royal family. As the two go through ups and downs, we get a glimpse of the secondary characters which I loved! Now I did find myself struggling with the ending, thought it was a bit too fast and some things were left unanswered. That’s not to say that the ending was bad, but it was okay. We get a chapter of what’s to come in the next book in the series, which I cannot wait to read. All in all, if you love a royal romance with lots of chemistry than I would highly recommend checking out this book! I cannot wait to read more from the author in the future. :)

I absolutely loved reading The Wicked Prince, it was sweet, romantic and full of steamy moments between the characters that had me rooting for them until the very end. It’s evident that Stellan and Margot come from two different worlds. While Stellan was raised to one day be King, Margot was the struggling kid who had to grew up fast in order to survive. They both are independent and committed to their jobs. Although Stellan knows that he will be King, he still struggles to keep up with all the responsibilities that come with the role. On the other hand, Margot grew up with nothing and her major struggle is of fitting in within the royal family. As the two go through ups and downs, we get a glimpse of the secondary characters which I loved! Now I did find myself struggling with the ending, thought it was a bit too fast and some things were left unanswered. That’s not to say that the ending was bad, but it was okay. We get a chapter of what’s to come in the next book in the series, which I cannot wait to read. All in all, if you love a royal romance with lots of chemistry than I would highly recommend checking out this book! I cannot wait to read more from the author in the future. :)

È una novità per l’Italia, Vivian Wood si fa conoscere con una serie Royal ambientata in Danimarca dove il futuro re, il maggiore dei fratelli Løve, Stellan, sta per perdere il suo aplomb e il suo rigore dietro a una sexy fotografa americana, Margot.
Margot Keane si sta godendo una serata spensierata e alcolica in una discoteca molto nascosta a Brooklyn con l’amica Pippa. Le sue calze a rete strappate e l’attraente color rosa dei suoi lunghi capelli attraggono un danese molto sexy che non solo non le toglie gli occhi di dosso ma le lascerà il numero di telefono per un secondo e bollente incontro.

Una buona prova per questa nuova autrice, le scene hot sono molte e ben descritte e la storia è fresca e frizzante, la scrittura è scorrevole e il libro si lascia leggere in poche ore.
Ho acquisito un debole per la lingua danese con i suoi ‘Ja’ e con quel modo dolce con cui Stellan chiama Margot, il suo tesoro, la sua Skatter.
I fratelli Løve sono cinque e si promette un’intrigante storia, la prossima, quella che riguarda la piccola di casa, Annika, e Erik che è più grande di lei e che non fa parte della stirpe reale.
Ve lo consiglio per la leggerezza e la spensieratezza che potrà portarvi.
