This is the 11th book in the Scarlett and Logan series and I have to say that not one of Dan’s books disappoints, ever… But the Scarlett and Logan series just take it to a whole new level. The Laughing man hasn’t been apprehended yet and it has been keeping Scarlett and Neil on their toes; their deputy director wants them to ditch the rulebook and catch and kill this serial killer. Neil being a rule abiding guy isn’t really keen with this, Scarlett has a little less trouble with it, since she has Wolf in her corner.

I have been a big fan of the Scarlett Bell and Logan Wolf books by Dan Padavona. This book does not disappoint. Agent Gardy and Scarlett secretly, under the direction of Deputy Director Carter, work with Logan Wolf, the "killer of killers" to run down the elusive serial killer The Laughing Man. This ruthless evil incarnated monster has left a long body count behind and has focused on killing Scarlett at any cost. Both Gardy and Wolf are emotionally attached to her, a rivalry that is very complex--yet both will go to any lengths to protect her and do so multiple times in this book. A cliff hanger awaits the reader with cryptic words by Logan Wolf at the end. Read it and you will be hooked on the whole series, highly recommended.

Her Darkest Hour - a review by Rosemary Kenny.

A Logan and Scarlett Thriller by Dan Padavona, Her Darkest Hour starts with a gruesome multiple murder by the so-called 'Laughing Man' - who's now got his sights on FBI Agent Scarlett Bell.
Surely Logan Wolf and Scarlett's partner Gardy will protect her from imminent danger...won't they?

And what about Assistant Director Carter, who's deranged with grief at his own family's murder, blaming Scarlett and Logan for failing to carry out his orders.

An outstanding psychological thriller with outstanding characters and plot twists, grab your copy of Her Darkest Hour right now, to see what happens!

Left thing in limbo.

I religiously follow the series of Logan and Scarlett and have enjoyed every one of the installments until this one. This story was incomplete and strange as all get out. So many things turned upside down. Logan seemed to have a different agenda. The director looks more like the enemy. Who or what is the Laughing Man. What is he really after. Why too many unknowns. Certainly hope Book 12 will answer some these issues.

The Carter and Laughing Man saga has gone on long enough. I have a feeling I know what the story between Carter and Laughing Man. (not 100%) Logan was more interested in ending Scarlett's trouble with Carter than finding Laughing Man. I had mixed feelings about what Logan was doing. Dan Padavona gave me suspense but there is too many questions left unanswered. Hopefully book 12 will put an end to the Carter and Laughing Man saga. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced reader's copy.

sadly my least favorite

Disappointing follow up to book 10, rather weak story line and character development. Some grammar issues. Seems like it was written by another author, so bummed as I was really looking forward to the continuing saga of Wolf, Scarlett, Gardy and their boss.

What a crescendo ending!

What an ending! The tenuous three way gets even better. Well, technically it is still a foursome for now. Can't wait to read the next book. This one is quite the page-turner making the reader unable to put this book down. If you are a Logan and Scarlett fan you will thoroughly enjoy this one
Very satisfying!

The Laughing Man

The Laughing Man strikes again and Scarlett is next on his list. Hardy and Bell are hunting the Laughing Man and he's staying 1 step ahead of them. Deputy Carter is on a war path and Logan is acting different. Makes for a very interesting story. As usual, this reader couldn't wait to see how things ended. Looking forward to the next book.

This Series Just Keeps Getting Better!

The tension between the characters in this book is rivaled only by the tension stirred up by the author's imagination. A great cat & mouse book throughout that ended too quickly. I'm looking forward to the 12th book in this series!

whoa!

This chameleon phantom manages to stay just out of reach, as more bodies drop.

The Laughing Man has secrets; discovery of his motivation shall be his undoing, methinks.
