His Boy is the first book in the Sinful Blood trilogy. This is an MM romance book with a touch of erotica, featuring a forbidden, incestuous relationship, a 19-year age gap, and unconditional love. Both main characters are at the age of consent. Rest assured, despite the angst and agonizing truth that keeps the two main characters from being together, a heartwarming HEA is guaranteed.

I'm ready to face the consequences and go straight to hell to endure eternal damnation - if only I could feel your skin against mine and have you buried inside me, tearing me apart. (~ Ian)

Ian was convinced he'd never be able to have a relationship as he felt incomplete and broken. Dysfunctional. But then he accidentally discovered that there's someone who can make him feel all the right things... passion... lust... The only person he'd ever loved and who loved him unconditionally. Ian was determined to get the man, even if it meant pursuing his own father. Would David surrender to this unhealthy and forbidden desire?

Holy shit, this was awful. DNF.

"Forget my cum. And don't be ashamed, Dad. You know I don't mind sharing with you. Anything. Especially not my firsts. My first step, first word, first time brushing my teeth, first time eating with a spoon . . . You were always there for the most significant moments of my life."

Uh...how about not discussing cum in the same sentence as all these first moments between a child and a father. Definitely not how I like to read incest.

Editing issues galore, changes in font, bizarre wording, this was a complete mess.

"You can tell me," I reassured him, jerking my dick faster but careful not to clap too loudly.

But through it all, I missed that little kiddy stuff and how he looked after me when I was a baby.

With that, our bathroom transformed into a playground. Dad chased me around, his monster impersonation delighting me, and I played along, pretending to flee from his clutches. Finally, he managed to capture me, his foamy hands finding my armpits, sending me into uncontrollable fits of laughter.

"Why would you need lube?" I frowned. "If she's willing and eager, she won't need additional lubrication."

Hard pass on this.

DNF at 5% I couldn’t do it. The writing is just…really terrible. There are incredibly strange word choices and the dialogue was so stilted and awkward. It was unbearable.

Direct quote example:
"I think we're all done, kid. Get up now so I can rinse you off," he said, tapping me on the shoulders. "You sleeping?"

I turned around and yawned, "No, Dad, I wasn't sleeping." It was just a teeny-weeny lie because I had almost dozed off, feeling completely safe with him.

I gripped the tub's front, then stood up carefully. That's when my eyes finally aligned with Dad's, in case you were wondering how short I was. While I was around five feet seven, he was at least a foot taller.

"Whoa, what are you doing?" His eyes widened as he looked at my penis, which stood strangely raised and uncomfortably painful. I was so ashamed and scared he would scold me.

"You told me to get up," I defended myself.

Like it can’t just be me, right? That’s BAD.

I was a bit hesitant to start this book because of the mixed reviews, and after finishing it, I can definitely see why opinions are so split, lol. Overall, I did enjoy the story and found myself invested enough to keep reading. The writing flowed okay, and there were moments that genuinely pulled me in. However, my biggest frustration was with the main character constantly going back and forth about his feelings for the other lead. It felt like every time there was progress, he would backtrack like a billion steps backwards, which made the romance feel repetitive and dragged out. I understand that emotional conflict can add depth, but here it crossed into feeling indecisive rather than layered. I found myself really struggling to get through some chapters because of how repetitive it got. It was an okay book though. 2 and a half out of 5 stars from me ⭐️⭐️

DNF at 30%. It's kind of depressing to read that this was the result of several rewrites according to feedback from various critics. Obviously none of them was an experienced editor. There were basic flaws in the narrative and flow that an experienced editor would immediately detect. Examples?
1. The plot was made out of 50% inner monologue. That's exhausting and a horrible choice for erotica (or romance). You don't want to make your readers spend 50% of their time inside your characters head, especially when not a lot is going on up there.
2. The other 50% was bizarre anecdotes that demonstrated the characters' mutual attraction. There's near zero characterization or any buildup of attraction. We're thrown directly into the awkward bathroom incident and spontaneous accidental ejaculation zone. Again, that's not a good choice for erotica unless you're writing a (very) short PWP.
3. Even for the fantasy land of taboo erotica, the dialogue was so flowery and unrealistic that it was borderline cartoonish. Real people don't talk like that. The eighteen year old son behaved like a very young boy on a age a teenager would rather be caught singing naked in class than treated like a very young boy. The dad called him baby and bowed for his every whim, again, on an age that most fathers would be more concerned with setting up boundaries, taboo or otherwise. The innuendo (for lack of better word) between the MCs was absolutely cringe worthy (How cringe worthy? "You're the first one who ate my cum").
4. Relatively minor issue - the same event was described from the son and dad POVs on non consecutive chapters. That's confusing. Is it really the same event ("I asked Beverly out") or did it happen twice? the summary was identical but the details seemed different. In general, chapter division inside a POV was somewhat random. The logical choice is to switch to a new chapter each time POV changes. This way there's no source for confusion and we know they are talking about the same event.

This book is taboo. Ian is in love with his father, David. They have always had a special relationship. David and Ian's mother, Maeve, are divorced. David worked as a long-haul truck driver while they were married and much of Ian's childhood. When he came home, he was all about Ian. He missed him so much when he wasn't at home. Not Maeve, he missed Ian. Ian lived with Maeve for most of his childhood. Maeve wanted to move to France and Ian did not. David did what any good father would do and switched jobs so Ian could live with him.

Ian was not a kid anymore and the thoughts running through both of heads were anything but natural. Ian was 18 and finishing up his last year of high school. Ian had been in love with this father for some time and was ready to see if David felt the same way. The way this relationship was established will blow reader's minds. David and Ian tried to fight it and go on dates. Fighting their feelings was futile. Ian knew what he wanted and his was willing to live in secret to get it. David fought the pull with everything in him. He even had a girlfriend. Crazy, right?

This book took some weird turns that could be taken because David never signed Ian's birth certificate. He was never around, and nobody knew that he was Ian's father. Will David finally realize that he cannot live without Ian? This couple goes through a lot. Yes, I think of them as a couple. They are two grown people and if this is love that they crave, who am I to judge. I enjoyed this book. It took me a while to figure out the point of the series. I thought the series was just about David and Ian but it's not. David has brothers. Readers will get to see what they have going on in their lives in the next books in the series. I am excited.

This is a very taboo mm story.you have david who is the dad and Ian is the son.
I did enjoy this, but the only thing I would say is they both had a characteristic that I couldn't connect with.
Ian seemed like he played his dad as knew he wouldn't say no to him.
David brought his gf to live with them and then when Ian left,he said didn't Ian realise how much Ian hurt him by leaving.david knew Ian was in love with him,but he didn't take into account how much Ian must be hurting hearing him and his gf going at it.
It was overall a good book and I like how you could see the struggle david had everyday l,cos he knew it was wrong and tried to fight.i liked it had a hea and would like to see a story about uncle conny

This book was a little unexpected but In a good way. I love taboo books. It featured Ian. His parents were divorced when he was 4. His father David was a truck driver so he was on the road a lot and his wife Maeve couldn’t take it anymore. Ian lived with her for a long time until she was given a great opportunity in Paris. Ian didn’t want to go with her so he moved in with his dad. This book had a lot going on and it was all good. I couldn’t put the book down. If you like taboo this is a good one to read. My heart broke for Ian in one part of this book. I didn’t like Angie I can’t describe it but I got a bad feeling about her like she was trying to keep David for herself even though he had Ian to take care of.

Steamy taboo age-gap romance with well-written forced proximity. I really liked how the longing built up between the two MCS, both sensual and emotional, and the way they obviously love each other very much. I didn’t care too much for the Angie storyline, though. I abhor lying and cheating, so I struggled with that part of the book, and how long that was drawn out. David’s struggles with his feelings for Ian are understandable, and even expected, but the way he handled it made it hard sometimes to root for him. I felt like Ian deserved better, though in the end things work out really well. The story shows plenty of potential, there's some great dirty talk, and the writing is sometimes almost poetic even, if also a bit unpolished still. I’m looking forward to reading more by this author.

This is the first book in a trilogy about the Reed brothers. It is a taboo read that involves a romance between a father and son. I really enjoyed the story and the way that the relationship was developed between the characters. Ian is young and just wants what his heart wants, and David is stuck in his head, and you get to see inside his mind as he struggles. Ian definately is use to getting his way, and David doesn't know how to say no. David got frustrating to me for his back and forth because it really messed with Ian. I wish that there were scenes with friends showing the mcs outside their relationship, but I did really enjoy the book. The ending and the surprise at the end is awesome.

This is my first time reading a book by this author, when I read books I go in blind not knowing a thing about them and this book took me by surprise. But not in a bad way. I love taboo and m/m and this book gives you best of both worlds. It's the first book in the sinful blood series. And I did enjoy it. It was a bit all over the place but I got the jist of it. The author hopefully will come back and polish it up.

Ian is in love with his father David. David struggles with it and brings his girlfriend around him. Which hurts Ian. It's filled with loads and also has dirty talk init.

It will be interesting to see who is next in the series.

I found this book really intriguing. It is my first book by this author, but I want to continue with the series. It is definitely taboo in nature, but also has a solid plot line to back it up. David and Ian were both really interesting characters who went through a lot. This book has a good amount of angst and they work for it - having said that, it doesn't read as melodramatic and the angst fits the story. I think the writing was well done and I'm definitely interested in seeing how this series progresses

I love a good taboo romance but this book felt as though it was missing something, there wasn’t really anything happening in the book beside the relationship between Ian and David. The book also jumped around a lot and when we’d get David’s POV it was like rereading the previous chapters we’d just covered in Ian’s POV. I did like how the struggle they faced about how they felt about each other felt real and they didn’t give into their feelings easily.

This book is very well written, I connected with the characters very quickly. It is a very taboo m/m romance featuring a father and son. The angst and romance was top tier, the emotions made me feel like I was experiencing it with them. This was very unexpected, but I am throughly happy with how this book ended. Aurora M. Stark did an amazing job with this book and I can’t wait to read what comes next!!!

In this story, David (Dad) is trying to process and accept the feeling and s3xy@l acts that happen with Ian (Son). The way the author tells the same events from two different points of view is at times too much but also gives insights into what each character is thinking. This story after much back and forth, running away and soul searching ends with a HEA!

His Boy is book 1 in the Sinful Blood Series. This is a taboo, MM story between a father and a son. I think that Ian could have enjoyed some relationships or almost one-offs with males too instead of just females that were mentioned. Over-all I enjoyed the story. Im curious to see what book 2 will be like.

As always be mindful of trigger warnings, what you like I may not.

Happy reading!

His Boy is book one of the Sinful Blood Series.

David and Ian have a tumultuous relationship with each other. There are a lot of ups and downs. David really tries hard to fight his feelings and sometimes ended up doing things which really hurt Ian's feelings.

There are some nice spicy scenes between these two.

I enjoyed the story it was trying to tell. Personally, I would have liked some of the scenes to flow a little better. It sorta bounces all over the place. Seems like to many cooks in the kitchen, so to speak. Other than that, it was a good read.
