Unreasonable Risk

Rate this book

While numerous ingredients are listed on products labels, there is no warning whatsoever as to the cancer, hormonal and allergy risks from any ingredients. It is UNBELIEVABLE that the multibillion—dollar global mainstream industries continue to inflict such risks on unsuspecting consumers, especially as alternative safe ingredients and products are becoming increasingly available. As Senator Edward M. Kennedy started at 1997 hearing on the Food and Drug Administration (FDA): "The cosmetic industry has borrowed a page from the playbook of the tobacco industry by putting profits ahead of public health." It is even more UNBELIEVABLE that the "charitable" American Cancer Society and federal Nation Cancer Institute, and such "cancer establishments" world wide, remain recklessly silent and fail to warm consumers, Congresses and Parliaments, of the scientific evidence for these avoidable risks of disease and death.

The book explains how to identify carcinogens and other toxic ingredients on product labels, boycott such products, and shop for safe alternatives form non—mainstream industries. This is critical as we are losing the winnable war against cancer, which now strikes nearly one in two men and more than one in three women in their lifetimes, and as the increasing incidence of allergies and hormonal diseases is now recognized.
