Kyle Timmermeyer has been a writer and lover of adventure for as long as he can remember. When he gets old and starts going senile, he will probably have been an English teacher and world traveler for as long as he can remember. He may also start to consider himself a turnip, and reminisce fondly about the Great Vegetable War. In addition to LEGEND OF THE ELEMENTALS, he has written far too much about the dimwitted superhero Bucketman.

What worked: LofE seems to be a series that is dedicated to some serious action scenes. Reform didn't disappoint at all. What's different though is that we've left the Elementals for now and are following Aelek from Book 2. I have to admit that I wasn't that bothered about Aelek and Princess Yiseem in the second book but they really came into their own in this book. In fact, I would even go as far to say that Yiseem reminds me a little of Celaena Sardothien: she doesn't take no for an answer, she can kick some ass and she definitely doesn't shy away from anything!
Reform was definitely my favourite so far of the Series, it seems to have really grown and turned into a bit more of a Fantasy-style novel but still holds on to its Science Fiction roots.
Kyle Timmermeyer has two major strengths with his writing - fight scenes and descriptions. You can see everything that his characters see and feel right down to the teeniest detail. It's that attention to detail that I always look for in a book so a round of applause to Mr Timmermeyer for nailing it again.

What irked: There were couple of typo's but even the most polished books carry a couple of those bad boys so it didn't bother me very much.
While I was reading new characters were introduced which is fine but then Ogres and Elves kind of appeared out of nowhere. I would have liked to have had a bit of a background about them but that's just me.

Recommended to: Lovers of Fantasy and Science Fiction or just about anybody who wants to dive into a new Superhero-esque series.

I would give this book: ***4 Stars - This book is really good, a definite re-reader.***

To start off I would like to note that I was granted a beta copy of this book. With that said I will be completely honest. The book started out great, but around mid way through it became difficult to keep my attention. However, after I made it further in to the story and was introduced to more new characters my interest was peaked again. Though the story only mentions the Elementals, that doesn't manage to take anything away from it as this part of the story is important. So for fans of the series or new comers I still highly recommend taking the time to read this book.
