Adri is the happiest she's ever been, but a noose is slowly tightening around the entire pack. Alec's victory in Chicago put the shape shifter ruling body on notice that he was going to do everything he could to bring them down, but she knows that right now he needs time to secure allies, time that they are almost certainly not going to have.
Alec's power has grown to a level Adri never would have believed possible just a few months ago, but the Coun'hij has the perfect tool for killing him and destroying every structure in Sanctuary. All indications are that Puppeteer is stalking them with an army of bestial creatures who are immune to Alec's special ability.
Alec has taken his first step towards reestablishing the monarchy, with him as the king, and now that Adri is back in his life he seems to know who he wants to be his queen, if they manage to survive. Unfortunately Adri never realized becoming royalty was part of the bargain when they got back together.
Publisher's Readers new to the Reflections Series should begin with Broken (currently free) or Torn. Riven is followed by Driven.
I really didn’t like the writing in the first few books, but the series has definitely improved. This one was full of surprises and a good fight. Can’t wait to see what happens next
I received this book from the author in return for a fair and honest review.
I started this series and thought that it would be nothing new apart from a slight twist on the tale as in it was two wolf packs with a girl in the middle, rather than a vampire and a werewolf. However, there is so much more than this. Each story takes you further and further in and trust me when I say that that is a very good thing.
In this story, Adri is once again at Alec's side but things are no way easy. Everyone has their own problems and trying to integrate other people into one pack is always going to be troublesome but Alec has his own way of sorting out the pack hierarchy. We meet characters from the other books that we know and love and watch them struggle with their own issues. We meet new characters and see how they interact with everyone. We say goodbye to characters old and new as the story climaxes. This series is so much more than a love triangle, although love does play a big part of the story. Alec is only half the man (wolf?!) without Adri. All of the characters continue to grow and change and you are left wanting more, with stories that still need telling.
Dean Murray is a wonderful author and I am looking forward to more from him in this series however, there are other books by him that I have on my t-b-r list which I am positive will not disappoint.
Reflections is definitely a wonderful series that just gets better with every book. I have no hesitation in recommending to all Young Adult or Paranormal fans.
Riven left me to ponder what would happen next n the series. Alec and Adris' relationship gets more interesting as the book progresses. So does more relationships that if you read the previous books you should be familiar with. Packs around the country have their loyalties tested throughout the book. Extrodinary stuff happens to numerous members of the pack including Adri and Rachel. The next few books should clarify how it all plays out, and whether or not Alec and Adri will rule as King and Queen over the shape shifters or if they all perish. The Werewolves become a huge part to how everything will play out. The funniest line I think was the first line of the whole book, the way she said it was hilarious. I cant wait to read the next books and keep writing my reviews. Hopefully you enjoy the series and will want to read more by Dean Murray.
another book I could not put down. thus series has definetly drawn me in. the only thing that has bugged me so far is that the thing Alec feared so much in the first 2 books has barely been mentioned. and even though it seemed from the begining that his fear was unfounded in Adri's case, his new lack of concern is barely touched on. all in all not too big of a deal bit it was one of those minor things that kept sticking in my mind as I read.
I really like the storyline. The characters are great. I hope it all goes down well with all the separate storylines. I'm interested to see how the author will do it and I hope it stays great.
grrrrr I thought this would have been the last book of the series but nope another cliffhanger. There were more fights in this one and shocking twists left and right.
