Two seemingly unrelated events will soon affect the entire world!
The Holy Church has just ordained the first South American Pope. Born into poverty and raised on the mean streets of Buenos Aires, Argentina, the new leader of the Holy Church intends to bring the church kicking and screaming into the 21st century.
While at the same time, the death of the Venezuelan President has opened the door to a new, rising political star and her plan to inspire an entire world. The Pope finds himself cleverly trapped in a web, from which he cannot escape, when the Republican nominees for President and Vice President of the United States of America, Richard Delaney, and his stunning running mate, Michelle Yakin, propose a horrific solution.
However, three a mysterious Elder from the Andes Mountains, who calls himself Older Brother, the second term, lame duck, President of the United States of America, and an environmentalist, see another way . . .
Unfortunately, the time to act is running out. Mother Nature may have crossed the Rubicon and there is no turning back. The Apocalypse, the End of Days has arrived and humanity is to be judged.

In his first life, Roy had the honor of helping at risk children and their families. In his second life, he pursues his love of travel and writing. Having explored four continents from Cuzco to Kyoto, Santorini to Tsumago, his wanderings have all found a way into his stories.

The Rubicon Effect,this new book of Roy Dimond is set in a total upside down world.The authors features an unusual scenario,get the readers to know the "big secrets of political strategies" sessions,under the circumstances of a newly ordained Pope,the US presidential Election and the death of Venezuelan President.
This novel mass appeal is due to the popular world's global climate,too far on the way to irreversible change.
The scientist Sam Allbright may have the miraculous solution to stop the watch but must first answer this:
,,Is Humanity driven by Hope or Fear?"
Another complex novel written by Roy Dimond,take us from the political decision to the global climate change to the definition of humanity.
The Rubicon Effect is in a way the defense of science against science deniers.

I enjoyed this book. It reminded me of books like The da Vinci Code... Political intrigue, religious icons, mysterious characters. I was compelled to keep reading, to see how it would end, and I was not disappointed with how the story turned out. Dimond's characters are clearly drawn, and varied, and the story and setting are at times familiar, and at other times unique and fascinating. The story seems realistic, and well-researched. It feels like it could happen in our world.

This was an amazing book that juxtaposed US right wing politics, the Catholic Church, the environmental movement and ancient tribal wisdom. It sounds complicated but it all works as you follow each of the main streams. It gave me some sleepless nights because it was all too accurate on political manipulation, the destruction of our environment and the corruption of the Catholic Church. It brought all these dark themes together ending with a message of hope. It was an easy, compelling and enjoyable read......I really like that it ended with HOPE!

This is the third book I have recently read by Roy Dimond and I am really impressed with the way he gets really important messages about our human life across to the reader. He makes you think about your life and how you are living it.
The Rubicon Effect deals with how the way we live our lives is damaging the planet and endangering the future for our children. A Rubicon means a situation where there is no turning back from. Originally written several years ago, there are surprisingly similar events described in the book that have come to real life fruition. For instance Roy has a character Pope Agapetus III a Pope born in South America who is called a Papal reformer. This character echoes values that the current Pope Francis believes in.
The fate of the World lies with the people and the choices they ultimately make. Sam Albright is a scientist and environmentalist, he's spent years fighting against global warming. Coming up against forces in Governments and the oil industry whose only belief is power and profit. The book deals with the race for the next American Presidency, again with some astonishing similarities to real life situations.
How many of us are fed up with politics? Lethargic about voting? And are demoralised by the endless paperwork shuffling by bureaucrats who spend our taxes without our say? What will it take to make us change our ways? The characters in the Rubicon Effect call for a Grounds Up Revolution, returning the power to the people. They vow to stop the World from being ruled by fear and negativity and turn it around to a World of hope, hope for the future. Now I think that's not a bad idea for the real World that we live it today.

HE RUBICON EFFECT by Roy Dimond is an interesting Contemporary Adventure. Fast paced and filled with danger, the Apocalypse, and possibly the End of Days,where humanity will be judged... Can two seemingly unrelated events determine the outcome of humanity? With political and religious contenders both on the rise, can an environmentalist, a mysterious Elder from the Andes, and a President termed Lame Duck, all three visionaries stop the madness and save humanity? You must read "The Rubicon Effect" to find these and many more answers. Well written, with dramatic effects,fear, hope, what each of us believe,and global climate, with intriguing characters as well as an intriguing and interesting plot. Very adventurous and fast paced. Well done!
