Naomi Hill wants to feel alive again. The loss of her husband left her senses dull and her heart empty, yet every time she’s around Jude—her late husband’s best friend—her body, and her heart, respond in a way she can’t ignore. With a push from a friend and a party game that forces her and Jude alone in an empty room, she finally finds the courage to seduce the one man who can bring her back to life.

Self-made millionaire, Jude Colter, defied odds and became a successful man. The only thing missing in his life now is Naomi. He’d kept his hands off her since first meeting her in high school...for two reasons. One, for years she’d been obsessed with his best friend and business partner. Two, she rouses raw feelings in him that make him question his theories on women...and the possibility of love. When an unexpected opportunity arises, he must decide just how far he’s willing to go to win her heart for good.

Lia Slater thinks the world would be a better place if everyone read romance novels. There’s so much to learn from the storylines. Love. Loyalty. Confidence. Passion. Desire. Conflicts would be resolved with happy endings. And, of course, the sex would be mind-boggling.

Lia is well on her way to helping the world become a better place by writing steamy romance with heart-throbbing emotion.

I really enjoyed this short e novella. But I just thought the marriage proposal at the end of the book was a bit random. They had just got together and already they are talking about being soul mates. I thought it was a bit weird but I still enjoyed this read, great read.

Wow. This was a very well written story. A quick read but the author captured the romance and emotion between the leads.

Jude has loved the widow of his best friend/business partner forever but kept it inside himself.

Naomi's husband died 3 years ago and she has emerged from her grief and spent the last year falling in love with Jude.

One evening, with a push from a friend, Naomi and Jude find themselves where they want to be, together. This story just flowed, it was a relief that they were mature and truthful about their long hidden feelings for each other. Very romantic and written in a believable way.
