Updated information Bat anatomy and behavior Echolocation, also known as the sonar sight of bats Senses, diets, roosts, and habitats of bats The social organization of specific species The proven existence of vampire bats.
This book is rather comprehensive. Certainly recommended for anyone interested in a good introduction to the anatomy, physiology, and behavior of many types of bats. Includes lots of photographs!
Interesting book, but it's an unwieldy mix of coffee table and text book. The pictures and graphics are amazing, and the information detailed. But the large format makes it a challenge to hold and read.
