Grooming has always been Maddie’s calling. She loves what she does and has help from her familiar Mortimer... who happens to be a raccoon. Being a witch can have its advantages even if she is a medicor one at that. Maddie has the ability to speak to the animals she grooms.

When Maddie’s ex, Blaine Hynes, walks into her shop with his dog, Shep, she wishes she could read his mind. The cherry on top is that Blaine’s veterinarian clinic may be opening right next door to her own.

What a joy that should be... or will it?

A cute whimsical quick read about a second chance at love. The FMC has a strong connection to animals, especially her own. A touch of paranormal in the plot but it is a true second chance at love story.

Cute short story. Maddie is a pet groomer who can talk to animals. Blaine was her high school sweetheart who broke her heart. One day he shows up with his dog Shep for a grooming and they reconnect. Will Maddie accept Blaine’s apology and is there a future for them?

I loved Mortimer the raccoon. He was a cute character in the book as Maddie’s familiar.

It was cute. Definitely loved the background and the characters. Just wasn't my cup of tea. It was too short and I feel that it could use more world building. Overall if u looking for a sweet happily ever after you have come to the write place. Sweet animals and cute whimsical ideas.

Oh what fun! A dog groomer, Maddie who talks to pets, her assistant and familiar, Mort, Veterinarian Blaine and his pet Shep create a unique, endearing romance. This quick short story is set in a small town filled with paranormal families and I hope there is more to come!

This short read was a sweet read. A 2nd chance at love is an unexpected happinging in the main females life. She has a great business, amazing friends and her raccoon. This story shows that sometimes people make mistakes and forgiveness is a great thing. It did jump around some and just gave highlights of what was going on rather than it being a part of the story. I read this during my lunch break, so if you like a quick read to get away from it all here ya go .
