Man Is Vox!: Barracudae

Rate this book
When you talk to yourself all day, you’re your own best friend; but even friends fight once in a while. And when you’re a bone-breaking psychopath who talks to his underwear, having a friend to see you through the rough times is important. Unless your new pal’s a psychopath too. Join the Fearsome Shade on the road to madness and the truckstops that mark the distance from here to the unthinkable. MAN IS VOX tells its story by exploring both traditional and non-traditional comics media. It’s a story of shifting perspectives, questionable motives and, yes, some macaroni art. Take a wild weird ride into madness with the Fearsome Shade, Mr Way, and all the lost souls they encounter. It also features a cover with character actress Rachel Grant (DIE ANOTHER DAY).

I didn't get it.

I like the fact that Carter Allen's drawing style changed for every chapter, but I never had any idea and very little interest in what was going on. The book also comes with a kind of introduction by someone called Jim Musser who writes like he's writing for the worst underground newspaper of 1971.

(I have also read Vol 2, and my review will be exactly the same minus this last sentence.)
