Hunter and Jade share 1 incredible Halloween night together, and then Jade runs out the next morning due to a family emergency and Hunter never gets her note. Enter miscommunication trope issues.
1 yr later Jade is starting her first day at her dream job, and walks in to find out that Hunter is her boss. I liked that Jade was a girl boss and she was confident and secure in herself with a girly flair for her shoe obsession. Hunter is ofc thrown for a loop as well, and is initially upset for Jade having left without a word after the "connection" he thought they had.
Hunter is the quintessential golden retriever after the "miscommunication" is cleared up, and he does everything he can to show Jade how much he cares for her, and supports her without stepping all over her well earned success.
Now the thing that drove me up the wall about this book is Jade's need to keep everything going on with her mom from Hunter. Like there was absolutely no reason why she couldnt just be up front with him about the issues, instead of keeping it secret and causing more miscommunication. I get not wanting to talk about it cause its hard for her, but it makes no sense why she couldnt at least give him a HL overview.
I also got so bored with the spicy scenes, they were pretty much the same scene over and over again, no real variety outside of the gym scene so I started skipping them. Overall, the book wasnt bad. There was a plot, not a lot of holes in it, and there was some spice. There was also not a lot of spelling error or grammatical issues which I also appreciate. Solid debut

Awww! This was just precious. I’m a sucker for a group of girlfriends that treat each other well and I love how supportive Jade’s little cohort was the whole time. Their stories will be fun to read in the future - especially if Trixie’s jerk gets his comeuppance. Also loved that Hunter had a good support group around him and A+ communication skills, both with them and with Jade. We stan a man who can talk about his feelings and who doesn’t allow miscommunications to simmer.
There was a great mix of sweet/swoony/funny story and spice throughout the book and the conflict was low-stakes enough to not be a stressful read. If you like insta-love, one night stand/missed opportunity, coworker/boss tropes, then this will be your dream book!

They spend an amazing night together but she has to rush out in the morning because of her mom’s medical emergency. She leaves a note with her number but Hunter never finds it. He thinks she’s just left him and she thinks he never calls. They don’t know each other’s real names, so they kinda move on with life but as fate has it they cross paths when she walks into his office as one of his new executives hired by HR. Will they be able to maintain a professional relationship or has fate brought them together for another person? I love this storyline and the characters are so likable. Looking forward to the next book in this series.

Wow Nikki I’m speechless you have had me hooked to this book from start to finish, I cannot believe this is your debut book it feels like you have been doing this for years.
Hunter( max ) and Jade (Tink) i loved them from the first chapter, I love a strong sassy FMC and Hunter my god his is a alpha male but the moment he looks at Tink he is besotted🥵. That is what every girls dreams off.
Following there journey was a delight to read and the friendship groups and family just topped the whole thing off , along with those steamy scenes you need a warning for us ladies on how much Hunter worships Jade 🔥🔥🔥
You have written one fantastic book I’m so looking forward to book 2 and the rest of this series these characters are waiting to be read.

The love and support from Jade’s friends warmed my heart. This book filled so many spaces that I know I will be doing a re-read!
I cannot believe this is a debut, well written characters and a story that pulls you in fast. Jade is a sassy one. Hunter is an updated alpha with communication skills and feelings. Swoon! The secondary characters are friends I would love to have. Jade (Tink) and Hunter(Max) take us on a fantastic journey, and I am looking forward to reading more! I really did not want this book to end; I loved the story.

wow what a debut book!
Wow, as a debut book this is incredible. The flow of the story, the side characters, the emotions felt between Jade and Hunter, it has everything. I’ve actually read it a couple of times (I don’t usually re read books!) and so much I picked up on and savoured every time. What I really liked is it had a storyline and Jade is such a strong determined career driven woman and Hunter was the rock to lean into without dimming her light.
A huge well done to NW Eaton and I really can’t wait for more books in this series.

Did someone say this was written by a baby author!? Heck no it definitely doesn't read as such. Such a fun read this was. My mood was off and I was fitful and then this book came in and it was just what I needed, and it blew my socks off.
Hunter Stone and Jade Wilde, what a couple! A meet cute to ONS to falling in love , it had everything. The road to victory is paved with obstacles and or more. And their journey definitely did have a starting trouble, but then , zoom. It was what my heart needed and Fallen made me fall head over heels in love with them.
Time to get sucked into a new universe that Nikki has created. The friends group gosh I'm putting myself into this friends gang and happy to be there!
Can't wait for the rest of the series! Loved the first and waiting for the rest!

What a fantastic debut novel from this author!
It had all the things I love, swooney MMC, fiesty and boss bitch FMC, found family and a wee bit of heartbreak sprinkled in.

Book Review: Fallen
If you love a romance packed with spice, obsession, and a heroine who could run in heels better than most could sprint in trainers, Fallen is a must-read.
This book had me hooked from the very start. The female lead is everything I love in a heroine—smart, ambitious, and unapologetically herself. And the male lead? A golden retriever on the surface but completely possessive and obsessed underneath. Their chemistry is off the charts, and let’s just say the sex at work trope is in full force here.
Beyond the romance, Fallen delivers an emotional punch when it comes to family. The storyline around her mum had me on the verge of tears (seriously, author, are you trying to finish me off?). The friendship group is also perfection—supportive, hilarious, and the kind of found family you wish you had.
I adored how well the main characters complemented each other, both in life and in their careers. They push each other to be better, and their dynamic never feels forced. And, of course, that line— Game on, gladiator—gave me butterflies.
However, a few things didn’t quite hit for me. The soppy dialogue during sex took me out of the moment a bit, and I wished their workplace romance felt riskier—it was all a little too easy, with everyone seemingly fine with it. A bit more secrecy and tension would have added to the thrill.
Overall, Fallen delivers on steam, emotion, and character depth. If you love a strong heroine, a MMC who worships the ground she walks on, and a romance that will make you feel, this one’s for you.

No truer words. NW Eaton took all the things we want in a fictional man and was like, “here, I give you Hunter.” Not only that though, she gave us a FMC in Jade who was a boss ass bitch, who wore her heels sky high and bowed to no one.
This book starts with a one night stand on Halloween that meant more in that one night then both Hunter and Jades entire past relationships. They don’t see each other again, until Jade walks into her new job to meet her new boss, who just so happens to be Hunter.
They two were so freaking cute, I could not handle it. Hunter seeing Jade for the first time after Halloween, and him trying his hardest to be mad at her was laughable. Man folded so fast. And Jade letting him know where she stood in her career, she was like take it or leave it buddy but I have dreams that don’t involve marrying a rich man to get there.
This is the first book where both MC’s love the other wearing glasses. I’ve read plenty where the girl is like of course he’s wearing glasses but for MMC to be the same way, loved that. Also, love a man that pays attention. This man picked up all the little stuff Jade liked and what was her favorite and was like here, have it all.
The found family was such a good building structure for what’s to come and so heart warming. And I love that it wasn’t just one side who had the found family. Jade may have Beck, Trixie and Lily but Hunter had Leo and Deacon in his corner and I can’t wait to see what comes from that.
The best parts, honestly, were where we get to see what kind of love that both Jade and Hunter saw from their parents. Henry and Olivia’s, Jade’s parents, love was heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time for what Olivia is going through. But Hunter having his parents have the same kind of love: all consuming. Jade is definitely so much like Ada, no wonder her and Hunter fall in love.
Can’t wait for the next one!

What they both thought they were getting a one night stand at a Halloween party turned into amazing chemistry and an epic love story. Little did they know after not seeing each other for several months they would find each other working together, and as they say the rest is history, obviously along the way there is a few bumps, but whose lives don't. They were destined to be together from the start.
Jade is a strong independent woman and has worked to get where she is. She is not scared to stand up to anyone especially the ones she loves, which we see throughout. Where as Hunter is the silent carer, always there ready to catch her. He knew she was the one just needed to give her the space to catch on. We all need a Hunter in our lives!
The characters of Hunter and Jade's family members and friends also make up a large part which I love to see, the banter they share is spot on and it excites me to continue in this world and how it evolves.
"Jade's flipped my world and brought color to my very gray life".

What happens when two wounded hearts give love a real shot? The most amazing story and HEA! A story filled with happiness, tears, love, passion, growth and a little bit of heartache.
The found family in this book is amazing. I truly loved all the characters from both Jade and Hunters side. Beck, Trix and Lily for Jade and Leo and Dexter for Hunter. Ted I think is both of theirs. You really end up falling in love with all of them.
Now Hunter and Jade's families are so adorable and also book couple dreams! Olivia and Henry are Jade's. Henry may not be her dad but he is in all the ways that matter and her mom is his whole world and you feel it so much. Hunters parents Ada and Thomas the power couple but the couple Hunter always inspired to want to have because how much he saw them love each other.
This book was not just about finding love and moving on from our past it was about remembering life is short and you never know what might happen to those you love most. Live, fight for your dreams and hold tight to those you love. Don't let little things get in the way, don't let fear guide you and don't have regrets.

When signing up for the arc all I had to read were the tropes and It was an auto sign up for me!! One night stand? Yesss! Workplace romance? Ofcccccc & billionaire MMC? Ok sign me up!!!! Who doesn’t want to read all 3 In one book?! This book follows Jade a strong independent woman who lives to please everyone around her, one Halloween night dressed as tinker bell has her waking up in the arms of a strong and sexy gladiator 🤭 a tragic phone calls causes jade to run off and leaves a very confused Hunter wondering what happened. Unfortunately they didn’t exchange their real names or any further information. Fast forward 6 months where jade is walking in to meet with her new boss but gets the surprise of her life when that new boss is her one night gladiator!!!! Hunters focus is on running his father’s company but it all seems to get blurred when it comes to Jade.
This book was spicy!!!!!! I truly love a golden retriever MMC and Hunter delivered that and much more! It’s hard to find a book with a head strong FMC and I can say Ms. Eaton delivered with Jade. She wasn’t weak in the knees and a yes woman unless it was in the bedroom 😉

Okay, I’m going to be honest. Going into this book, I wasn’t entirely sure I’d enjoy it since it seemed a bit cliché. But wow, it absolutely blew my mind! I loved every second of it and couldn’t put it down and finished it in a single day.
I was especially surprised when i realized this was the author’s debut, they did an absolute amazing job!
Jade is such an independent and strong woman, and I really appreciated that. I loved how she handled her job just as well as any man could. And Hunter? I completely fell for him! His sometimes grumpy yet golden-retriever personality was everything. He’s the perfect example of how a anyone should treat their partner! He was so sweet and caring!
I absolutely adored alot of the side characters and instantly fell in love with Jade and Hunter’s friends and family.
And the spice? All i can say is wow!! 🤭

Goodness, I LOVE this book 💚💚💚💚
I believe this is her first book, and I think she just did an incredible job. I cannot even begin to tell you how excited I am to read the books that I know have to be coming in this series. The world building that has been laid out and the friend group/family/found family is masterful. I am already so invested in these characters and ready to read the rest of their stories.
Hunter and Jade are just dynamic together. They are both strong characters but when they are together they can let their guards down and be seen by the other. Also, I loved how he knew what he wanted and flat out told her that he wasn’t giving up 😍 You want them both to find peace and happiness together.
Some things I absolutely loved about this book:
💚 Jade’s friend group - so funny and their new found friendship with Hunter is amazing
💚 Hunter’s friends and siblings - you can so tell that there is lots to be told about them all
💚 Jade’s PA - I want him in my life
💚 The plot kept moving - no continued repeating and discussing the past, no extended “bickering” between the couple.
Again, I devoured this book and couldn’t put it down. I am so excited for the next one in the series. I can’t wait 💚💚

I absolutely fell in love with this book. For a new author, this was beautiful, and I am more excited to read further books from you. This had everything I love in a book, and left me with all the good feels and the heart swells. You were born to write.
Hunter and Jade.....the universe definitely had the stars align for you to have the perfect meeting. However, there was a few asteroids thrown your way, but the hearts need what they need, and that was each of you. There were costumes and nicknames they hid behind that first meeting, but they had "fallen" for each other in that moment. Hunter is the ultimate swoon worthy man we would all wish for, and pull no punches Jade, what she lacks in height, she makes up for her strong, take no prisoner personality. His perfect match.
I cannot wait for more from this author, and the next book(s) in this series, and I urge you to read this. I loved it.

Fallen is NW Eaton's debut novel and she does not disappoint! I was hooked and captivated right from the start. Eaton does an amazing job of telling the story of Hunter and Jade and I fell in love with them immediately. One of the best parts of this book was the witty banter and Hunter and Jade's friends as well. I am really looking forward to reading more of Eaton's books in the future. I couldn't put the book down and highly recommend it to anyone that is just looking for a billionaire boss/employee romance with some amazing main characters and side characters as well.

This was an ARC Read for the lovely NW Eaton.
As soon as I started reading this book I was hooked and I didn't want to put it down.
This was a fabulous and easy read and it flowed so well throughout. It was so heart warming particularly with the way Hunter wanted to protect and care for Jade after they reconnected - so beautiful. It just makes you wish that there were more Hunter Stone's out there in the World 🥰
Also loved the tension between then both of them and although it is spicy at times, it doesn't distract you from the main storyline.

I really enjoyed this book! Jade and Hunter’s chemistry is great, the friend group is really fun and I enjoyed reading the banter.

This was such a cute second chance contemporary romance book. Jade & Hunter are definitely couple goals (after we get past the miscommunication part of course).
I am a huge sucker for an Alpha Male who is soft around his lady, and the way Hunter pays attention to Jade, whew! I can see why a certain character in the book developed stalker tendencies for Hunter LOL.
I am so excited for book 2 to come out because I have several suspicions on who the book will be about and is curious to see if I’m right.

This was so good! The spice was good. The FMC is strong-willed and independent. MMC is definitely in the running for book boyfriend of the year. The way he adores her and takes care of her just had me blushing. The side characters were everything had me laughing and giggling continuously throughout the story. Solid writing throughout the story. I see hints of book 2 so i will definitely be reading that!

What a wonderful Debut from the Author. It definitely held this readers attention from the very beginning to the very last page. This book definitely had all the feels and at times for me as the reader I felt like it was a roller coaster of emotions. It really enjoyed how the author drew you in as the reader and got you invested in the characters. Adding to my list of great books I read for the month of March. I am excited to read her next book.
