Azeira Maddox has fought tooth and nail to escape the clutches of poverty, determined to rise above the shadow of her mother’s life sentence. With no one to lean on, she built her event planning business from scratch in Houston, finally believing she was on the path to success. But just when she thought she had it all figured out, her world came crashing down. Facing eviction from both her home and office, she was ready to give up—until Savant Torres walked into her life. A powerful real estate mogul with a reputation as cold as the Houston streets, Savant seemed like the savior she desperately needed. But the whispers on the streets tell a different story. Is the man she’s falling for truly her hero, or is he the devil in disguise?
Savant Torres is a man who strikes fear in everyone—whether in the boardroom or on the streets. Beneath his icy exterior lies a vulnerability he’s buried deep, shaped by his father’s relentless criticism and the weight of constantly cleaning up his brother Angel’s messes. Though he craves love, he’s convinced it’s a luxury he doesn’t deserve.
Angel Torres, the hot-headed younger brother, is hurtling toward disaster, driven by his unrelenting love for Felonee Chery. Their unexpected reunion ignites a war between rival cartels, but Angel’s wife, Gabriela, isn’t about to let another woman steal what’s hers. Felonee, hardened by years of struggle, has always fought for what she wants—and she’s not backing down now.
Felonee Chery has been told her whole life that she’s worthless—until Azeira came along and showed her otherwise. But when Angel shattered her heart, those old insecurities came flooding back. Now, as their paths cross again, she’s torn between rage and regret. Can Angel’s plea for forgiveness convince Felonee to fight alongside him for a second chance at love—even if it means going to war with his unhinged wife?
"Married to the Richest Savage in Houston" is an unputdownable African American romance that delivers single women on the hunt for love, unhinged and wealthy Alpha men who don’t take no for an answer, and the irresistible allure of second chances. If this sounds like your kind of story, then this book is for you.
Boy oh boy! Felonee tried to warn Ze! She was all in her feelings and let Savant swoon her into oblivion! His constant pop ups and subtle yet commanding tone of when and where she should be in place should have told her to run! I guess after dealing with Jackson for so long dealing with Savant was like a fresh air! Gabriella is so dumb! Power is everything in these cartels, but when you start losing loved ones, is it really worth it! I blame Hector because honestly is the cartel really somewhere for a woman to be being that we are such emotional creatures! Sis wanted to have her cake and eat it too and it's crazy how one who she deemed a "hood rat" came back and stake claim in what was always hers! I love Angel and Felonee in all their toxicity. It comes out as toxic, but they are both very headstrong so they will always buck heads! It definitely doesn't take away from the genuine love they seem to have for each other. All hell is about to break loose and Ze is about to meet Hades! I really don't know what she was thinking. Hell, as big as the estate is, why just not move out t the guest house and it all came together! She may have very well signed her own death certificate; granted no thanks to Felonee. Whew challe! I just know part 2 is about to be HOTTTTT!
Don't you just love a cliffhanger lol. This book had kept me engaged throughout it's entirety. I never know what exactly what to expect next. Ze, Felonee, Savant, Angel, Javier, Gabriela, and Jackson got in my nerves lol. Everybody knows that you flick directly to the ones you were warned to stay away from, so Azeira was doomed from the jump. Jackson just doesn't seem to learn, and he really played in Ze's face. The 2 female MCs go completely dumb when it comes to a man. I really feel for Savant because his dad never have him a chance to really explore life or love, so he's stuck trying to figure things out and is failing miserably. Gabriela, Jackson, and Javier are equally hated in my book. I do badly want to know what's up with Ze's parents, and I'm curious to know who her father is. Them letters gotta hold some answers to some burning questions. I honestly don't know what to expect from book 2, but if you like a little violence, cartels, romance, second chances, unhinged characters, and corruption,, then this is the series for you.
This story started off slow. Gabriela and Angel had an arranged marriage. When Angel saw Felonee(although he did her wrong) he wanted her back. Gabriela couldn't stand Angel but she didn't want anyone else to have him. Jackson wasn't the right guy for Azeira. He cheated on her and spent her money on other women. When she had enough and told him it was over,he couldn't handle the rejection. Azeira had to marry Savant because she saw something she shouldn't have seen. In part 2, we will find out if the Torres survives the war between the two families. Will Gabriela and Jackson pay for their crimes? Will Felonee and Angel get back together and if Azeira and Savant can whether the storm of their toxic marriage?
Where do we start??? Savant heads a Cartel..Has a reputation throughout Houston that certifies him as a Savage..The book opens with the death of the Accountant…But a nothing broke bum like Jackson gets to disrespect him on more than one occasion walks away then comes back pulls a gun and only catches hands..Azeria has a mother in prison..befriended a street smart gang affiliated Felonee who becomes a sister to her…but she’s on a jail phone talking about Savant being accused of catching a body??? Really???? Angel and Gabriella entire situation is annoying…Azeria is irritating as hell…Storyline is so disconnected.
This book had the potential to be amazing to me. It started off good but then the big bad mafia turned into wimps to me. Savant and Angel were supposed to be savages but Savant was letting to much shyt slide for my taste. Yasmere should have been handled especially after he gave her a chance. Jackson should have been handled, hell he pulled a gun on Savant and was able to limp away. Angel let Gabriella get away with a lot also then with the power he should have he gets tossed in jail also and can't even pull no strings to get Felonee out. I hope they boss up in book two.💞💞
Felonee is my favorite! She doesn't back down from Gabriela with her wannabe bully tail 🙄 She needs to move on and let Angel live his life. Javier is my least favorite because he's too mean, but not understanding what Savant is trying to do with the family name and businesses. Jackson is so trifling it's unreal he does not love Ze as much as he claims if he even loves her. I think he hates losing. The crooked detective is going for a swim.
The storyline was good in the beginning, but by the end of the book things got off track and started getting very confusing. Maybe the author was trying to take the story in a different direction, but failed to make the right transition and connection with the characters. I'm not opposed to reading the next installment. I just hope it's better thought out without the repeating events in the book and clear cut storyline.
Listen I hate a weak a bitch that she exactly what Azeria is. Savant is trying to keep her stupid ass safe and all she does is complain and cry. She should have kept her weak gullible ass with Jackson and let him use her.
Felonne is useless and poor Angel is trying. They dad is a miserable old man.. Gabriela and Jackson are pathetic…
All Savant wants to do is protect Ze and make her happy but she’s too weak to see that..

Story was classic Brickhouse but Z going in and out of her delusions to the lifestyle was blowing me. Clearly she grew up in the ghetto but she was trying to play this “I’m green to all this” role. She was aggy, I almost stopped reading when she was cool with Savant then the next day she terrified. She was wishy washy for real. Imma read 2 to see what he do to her but she’s on my last nerve.
I can't even describe what i just read but I'm try. The relationships were rushed and not organic. The characters were immature. Nothing was connecting. I Will not read the other books in this series. I struggled to get through this book. I wanted to do at40%
2.5 this book had the potential to be great but it just wasn’t. Savant and Angel were soft, like very soft for them to supposedly be “big and bad” when the book finally started to get good it was finished, but for it to be almost 300 pages it was boring.
This is a good storyline, but I feel likes it’s dragging along. Dr is getting on my nerves. One minute she’s stubborn and about that life, then the next she’s acting weak and scary. Girl pick a side. Is she really trying to work with the opps? On to part 2.
I’m about to fall into a reading slump with the amount of DNF’s I’ve done lol. Azeria is pathetic and weak…thee end. My reviews are a reminder so I know that I attempted this book but to remind myself if I come across it again, why I didn’t finish.
This was a good book. I couldn’t put it down. An emotional roller coaster. Ze worked my last nerve. One question for Ze: Why? Running to download book 2.
I don't know who's more delusional. Jackson dumb ass or Gabriela ignorant ass. Jackson was a bum that wasn't doing anything but dragging Azeira down. While Azeira was struggling to keep her business open and struggling to pay rent. Jackson was busy cheating, not working, and using Azeira money to gamble and pay another hoe rent. Finally fed being fed up with Jackson. Azeira knew it was time to send him packing and that had Jackson crashing out. Getting one of the biggest jobs that could push her business further. Azeira had no clue of the danger that was lurking once Savant set his sights on her. Felonee tried to warn Azeira about Savant but she didn't listen. Savant is a complex, complicated, and dangerous man. Although he was raised to not show feelings. Azeira sparked something in him. Angel and Felonee together is a mess. I couldn't do anything but laugh at them. However Angel have a huge problem on his hands. Being arranged and forced to marry Gabriela. Angel was sick of it. Gabriela is a whole jealous, controlling hoe. She already knew her and Angel marriage wasn't idea and that he couldn't stand her. Gabriela also knew Felonee is the one who truly have Angel heart. Angel divorcing Gabriela have her on a rampage. She started a war between her family and theirs. The amount of time Felonee have went upside her head and Gabriela and still starting drama. Proves she is crazy as hell. Jackson is a damn fool for teaming up with Gabriela. He was better off staying in jail. When they find out he is behind Angel shooting. I don't see it ending well for him. Azeira have witnessed how dangerous Savant and the lifestyle he lives is but she's making a deadly mistake that could cost her, her life if she ends up turning into a snake and snitch.
