The Agency: Marek & Tyrone
Marek Dublecek is a loner. He's satisfied with his life as an agent. He has an apartment, a bed, a kitchen, a couch. The Agency is his real home, though, and The Old Man is the closest thing he has to family. He doesn't have friends... Well, maybe one. The night cook in The Agency cafeteria who always gives him little treats. His name is Tyrone. He's nice enough... Tyrone Johnson may look big and mean and tough, but he wouldn't hurt a butterfly. He's always had a soft spot for stray dogs and lost causes. That skinny little white boy with the bad attitude - he's both. Something about him makes Tyrone feel good inside. He'll do anything for one of those rare half-smiles. Anything.

49 books41 followersSo, about me. I’ve been writing sensual romance—and some other stuff—for about five years now. What a busy five years it’s been, too. I’ve met a lot of great people along the way.
I’m blind and have been for more than a decade. I don’t go anywhere without my best buddy, Cosmo. He’s my guide dog. Once in a while, he turns up in my stories, incognito, of course. He and I travel when we can via planes and trains; we don’t really care for long car trips. Hmmm…what else? We have a couple of cats that keep us on our toes. They’re good for tons of aggravation and entertainment. I got them for Cosmo, but I don’t think he appreciates them as much as he should.
We love the beach, though we don’t get there as often as we’d like. I live on the Jersey Shore so the only excuse I have for not hitting the sand is that it’s cold and besides that, I can’t drive.
When I’m not writing, I teach blind people how to use adaptive technology so that they can surf the web. I meet plenty of interesting people that way and it keeps me from ever getting complacent. …Not to mention the inspiration for stories that I get. It’s a job that keeps on giving. Actually, I’m not sure it’s really a job; more like a thing I do.
Cosmo likes chunky peanut butter and rawhide bones. I drink way too much coffee—black and strong. I like red wine at night sometimes but he’s a teetotaler. He stays away from alcohol and chocolate these days.
And that’s all I can think of just now. I hope you enjoy the website. Mae’s done some great things with it. I’ll keep writing if you keep reading. Just bear with me if I slow down now and then. Thank you. I really appreciate you stopping by.

April 2, 2009Marek is a slovakian spy who work for the US government. He is very smart and good, and very young, only 24 years old. He is not handsome in a classical way and he is also a little crabby, mostly due to his shyness when he is not on duty. So he is overwhelmed by the open and friendly Tyrone, the Afro American cook who works for the Agency's cafeteria.
Tyrone has a sweet tooth for this young man and manages to make find him delicious course every time he snugs in the cafeteria late in the night. And the last time he finds the courage to asks him out and they start a sweet relationship, far from work. But work calls and Tyrone has to deal with Marek's life and overpasses his nurtuting nature who pushes him to be protective.
Marek is young and not used to be loved, even if around him many persone care for him, much more he thinks of. And like who has never known a gentle touch, he falls for the first person who touches him. Tyrone is a big but tender man; not beautiful, maybe also overweight, but it is not physical appeareance who seeks Marek. Moreover, the big body of Tyrone makes him feel secure.
I like very much the relationship between Marek and Tyrone, so much that I'm a little disconcerted and not at all pleased with the switch we have in the end. Not want to make spoiler, you have to read it to know why. Before it happens, I was very satisfied with this book. Maybe it's my old way of think, maybe I believe is not to much realistic and according with Marek and Tyrone's characters... but as I say, overall I like J.J. Massa's style and I will reading more about her.

I have to agree with another review I really liked Marek and Tyrone's relationship thru out the book till the end. I was not pleased with the way it ended, should have left the 2 of them be.
