K. Elliott aka The Well Fed Black Writer, published his first novel, Entangled, in 2003. Although he was offered multiple signing deals, Elliott decided he had what it took to self-publish. With that, he founded Urban Lifestyle Press, printed his own books and went to work. Bookstore by bookstore, street vendor by street vendor, Elliott took to the road selling his story. His work did not go unnoticed as he sold 50,000 units in his first year and made the Essence Magazine Bestsellers list.
Since Entangled, Elliott has published five titles of his own and two on behalf of authors signed to Urban Lifestyle Press. For one book, The Ski Mask Way, Elliott was selected to co-author with hip-hop superstar 50 Cent. Along the way, he has continued to look for innovative ways to push his books to his fans while keeping down his overhead. Not wanting to keep the finding of such valuable experiences to himself, Elliott did two things.
First, in 2010 he forged his vision of low-cost publishing by founding 21 Black Street, an eBookstore to mirror a traditional African-American themed book store - accept it could totally cuts out printing costs.
Not stopping there, Elliott created the Well-Fed Black Writer, a blog for authors to find life-hacking tips for more efficient, effective self-publishing. Now through podcasts, video and blog posts, Elliott is able to reach anyone interested tips that lead to efficient, cost effective self-publishing success.

Another good short story now time for part 2. If 2 is just as good as one I already know I’m going to enjoy it. Good character development for a short story

This book felt a little disjointed to me. Each couple's story and characters needed more development. There were only a few chapters and each focused on a different couple, so I didn't feel like I had enough time to connect with the characters. The dialogue also needed some work. The stories were entertaining but I feel maybe if the book was longer, I'd have more time to empathize with the characters and understand their goals, motivations and conflicts. I didn't pick up on any of that in this book.

NONSENSE-LOL

I should have known was some b.s. when the book was FREE. First there's to many characters being introduced to fast, and by the time you begin to figure them out the book ends I'm NOT buying the next one if it isn't 200 pages or more. She's not wasting my time by chopping ONE book into FOUR and raising the price each time. Already fell for that once before with a different author!

This was my first read from this author I must say this book was a page turn from beginning to the end. The way all the characters seem to just blend together was great. What made it even better was all the females that dates the hustlers were friends. I like fed how each set of couples were going through basically the same thing and that's what kept my attention. Great story line by the way. Now on to part 4 can't wait to see what happens to everyone especially Jade ass she done fucked up and caught feeling just like a bird head got a man that's loves you and you wanna mess things up. I hope she can get herself out of this sticky situation she just put herself in.

Omg this series is a must read!

I lived this book from the beginning to the end. All the people in it played a very great part. I'm so sad about what happened to Chris. Black did not have to kill him. Trey and Starr are my favorite couple... I would recommend this series to all my friends. Thanks for keeping my interest.

A great read! .

I chose this reading because it kept MD on my toes! I love how Elliott keeps your mind wondering by jumping from one story line to another as they are all pertaining to dirty jobs and or cheating. Its a mystery and I can't wait to read the rest of the set!

this was a pretty good read, a bunch of twist and turns. honestly couldn't put it down. my only issue was that it was so many characters being presented so fast that my book club members and I had to make notes about what was going on with each couple, after awhile it became easier to maintain, but this is NOT stopping us from reading the other books in the series. Also all of the books are reasonably piriced so we're in it for the long haul.

Money over everything, that is the name if this game. Does any of these men really care about these ladies? That is an unanswered question for me. These ladies wives or girlfriends of ATL biggest dealers or business owners as they say. Will love play a role or some will move on. Can't wait for part 2

I gave this book a 1 star because it was all over the place. It has too many characters and the storyline was like something a little child could have wrote. I'm sorry it's 4 more books to this series and I don't think I can continue.

Good but too short

Good but too short

K. Elliott provides a great storyline but the book was just too short. The body of the story never got fully developed. I finished the book wanting to learn more. Seems incomplete.

Eh

I guess it was ok. I mean when I read a book I like a lot of descriptive language. I'm not sure if this was meant to be a short story but it definitely was short. eh if I can borrow the next book free I might get it. but I only get to borrow on book free a month.

Sexy, Exciting read!

I have to admit what first attracted me this book was the cover....I really didn't know what to expect but once I picked it up I was addicted. It kept me entertained enough to read four out of the six books in a day. Guaranteed to pick up the rest tonight!

Even though this was a short story I can actually see myself getting into it based on what I've read so far. With the things going on so far, it makes you wonder if the 3 women I going to continue being King Pin Wifeys or get out while they can.
