This book is actually pretty fire because it is the original "final boss" story. Odysseus is a total legend since he is not the strongest guy ever but he is definitely the smartest. Watching him gaslight a giant Cyclops by telling him his name is "Nobody" so the other giants would not help him was easily the best part of the whole book.
The middle gets a little slow when he is just chilling on islands with goddesses for years while his wife is at home fighting off a hundred dudes. However, the ending makes up for it because the "suitor massacre" in the house was brutal and felt like a movie. It is wild to think that people 3,000 years ago were still dealing with the same stuff, like trying to get home or having annoying guests who will not leave.
In short, if you like stories were the hero wins with his brain, and thinks out his moves strategically, you will love the Odyessey as I highly recommend it to you
It was a good book. I just had to really pay attention to know what was going on. If I missed something I was completely lost. However, it was still pretty good.
