Divine Intervention was an excellent read!! Tatum Rawlins is a divorce attorney who wants absolutely nothing to do with love, romance, marriage or kids. Then there’s Jovie Day Gibson, the spitfire, curvy photographer who isn’t afraid to tell her best friend’s boss with the permanent scowl to go fly a kite. I just loved their banter with each other right from the start because how dare Tatum give her the stank face while she’s giving her speech at her best friend’s wedding shower. Despite the obvious disdain both characters have for each other, the inevitable happens which leads to a series of misunderstandings and mistaken assumptions. I enjoyed reading this because it’s such a light read, with all the things I look for in a book: banter, amusement spice, sunshine/grumpy tropes, and a curvy FMC!! Oh and did I mention the spice?? Definitely a must read!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️🌶️
Storyline is ok, a cranky divorce lawyer meets a tornado who turns his opinion on love, marriage and babies inside out.
The biggest problems I have with this are problems I have with many independent published books and for that I’m sorry but I can’t change how I am.
The editing in this book was atrocious.
It reads like a script except there’s no actual clear indication of who is talking.
Pages of dialogue with zero acknowledgement of who is saying what and the many, MANY spelling errors.
At one point the author references the OPs father, calls him Deddy, makes a huge point about telling us that yes, it’s “Deddy” in the south and then…. Calls her father DADDY for the DURATION of the book 😂😂😂😂
If you’re gonna stick to something flipping stick to it!
Anyways.
A lot of diatribe that was unnecessary and dialogue that read like a script. It was a quick read, I skimmed whole chapters and the whole Valerie plot point died a fucking miserable death.
Stumbled across this new author on Insta and I’m so glad I did. Divine Intervention was a fun read about shenanigans in a small town in Georgia. Throw in a sassy FMC some interference from best friends, a one night stand and a hidden pregnancy and I was cackling throughout this book It’s a dual POV, small town romance with a slightly obsessed MMC. I enjoyed it and can’t wait to see what else Morgan comes out with!!
This book just about had me ready to move to a small town in Georgia. I loved all the characters especially the banter between Tatum and Jovie. The story is told from both POVs and is a small town romance with high levels of spice and steam. I enjoyed reading Divine Intervention and it will definitely be on my “must read again” list.
This was such a good read! Once I started, I couldn’t put it down! The chemistry between Jovie and Tatum was seeping off the pages. Jovie is the perfect example of southern sass. I love that it changed Povs so you could get a feel of Tatum as well! I laughed , I coo’d , I blushed 🥵. Definitely recommend to anyone who loves a good southern steamy romance!!
DNF. got 3% in before the wattpad formatting, childish inner monologue, and italicized dialogue got to me. This was merely an experimental read— it should’ve stayed that way. The synopsis seemed to have so much potential, I think with a proper editor this could be good. But I can’t with the way it is currently.
It had spunk and banter and an interesting spin it had me teared up at some points but I was mainly aggravated and pissed while reading. The spin she took with the main characters was irritating. The redeeming factor was the humor. There were a lot of places that had me laughing
Morgan is so good at delivering a laugh out loud romance with all the feels, but, it fell a little flat in this novel- it might have been the miscommunication between the MMC and FMC but nonetheless it was still a fun, banter-filled, enjoyable romance. I did enjoy seeing Jovie & Tatum reappear in ‘Cuffed’ so read them both!
Literally didn’t put this down and read it cover to cover. Was like reading some spiiccyyy gossip from a friend, not like most smut books that kind of sound.. “old” and not realistic. It was very real life. Loved it!
Badly written and I am being generous giving it 2 stars. Neither main character were winners they were both boring and dull and the book was very disappointing but since its not i. The worst books i have ever read pile giving it 2 stars
I love how this book makes me feel like I’m reading a story about my hometown. The southern slang and common sayings amongst us folks made it even better!
Booktok wins again!! This popped up on my fyp and I decided to give it a chance. I’d never h3ard of this author before but I’ll keep up with her from now on. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was definitely a good read. I liked both of the main characters and feel like they both had strong personalities, so I was unsure of how they would blend together. Towards the middle and end of the book I did start to feel slightly aggravated that she would just tell him the news! Like girl how hard is it?! SPIT IT OUT! Other than that, I would recommend this book!
