Okay, buckle up because y'all know I hate leaving negative reviews, but this book had me floundering with what to write.
I enjoyed this, but parts of it felt like a hot mess. I feel like I read the back paragraph on the book, but then what happened was not what I expected to read based on the blurb. Also, there were some scenes that were skipped over or not "on screen" that I think were important to have. The time jumps were confusing at times, too. There were so many other details and things that had me "wtf" and lost.
Some grammatical errors, plot inconsistencies, repeating paragraphs, etc also were a little distracting.
That all being said, I did enjoy it. I loved Icarus and Nathaniel (the good one - having 2 main characters with the "same" name was also a point of frustration for me). I loved the relationship with the bestie, and I do plan on reading her book! It also made me cry, so it did pull some big emotions from me. I just feel like this one missed out on so much potential.

Needs an edit
The story has good bones and a lot of potential but this needs another edit. There were too many disjointed parts, jumps that are jarring and things that just didn’t make sense. I would remove the word billionaire (millionaire and wealthy would suffice) completely as it didn’t add to the story. The pack’s family stories all need work (they don’t fit into the story smoothly at all).
I want to emphasize that there are some good parts to this book but not enough for me to seek out more of this author’s work.

The fucking writing style.
Who uses all caps instead of italics or emphases? 😭😭
Not only that, but dialogue would be spoken, and then there would be an action that the speaker isn’t doesn’t smacked into the paragraph:
Example:
“Miss Lyricist, writing up the next big hit that’s going to be fought over by at least ten musicians and their cocky ass agents.” I have to fight off a smirk. “Begging to be the grand winner of Blair Vesper’s masterpieces!”
The dialogue belongs to the bestie. That sentence I have to fight off a smirk is the POV character (FMC).
And when I skimmed, it seems like using all caps instead of italics, using italics to emphasis a thought is being made even though the book is in first POV, and mismatching dialogue and actions, all that will remain in the book.

March 14, 2025Are you fucking kidding me? That's the question I have regarding that ending. To summarize quickly, this book is about an Omega lyricist that becomes the mate of a pack that has two members in a band (Kenji and Nathaniel Jr), and one is the talent manager of Nathaniel (Icarus). The other members are Nathaníel Sr. (older twin of Nathaniel Jr.) And Kai. Throughout the book a Knot Their Omega movement began campaigning for more rights and freedoms for Omegas, like being able to work, drive, get an education, have hobbies outside the home, etc. The government uses this movement to require all Alpha packs to find an Omega within 24 hours or they won't be able to work. Summary complete and onto my issues with this book.
The main characters, including Astraea, are all really misogynistic. They acknowledge all the issues that Omegas experience when it comes to being mistreated and taken advantage of and the MMCs, especially, will still categorize these Omegas who only require that their packs have wealth (cause like wtf else are you supposed to do besides shop if your only purpose is to be a breeding machine??) as greedy gold-digging wh*res and sl*ts (not my words, the author used these throughout the book). Another point of contention is that Astraea is also misogynistic towards this movement, despite the fact that she's a fucking Omega herself. She criticizes it because these Alphas (male) start attacking Omegas randomly after the government plays down the new law. I cringed so much reading this book because even the "good" Alphas talk about how all these Omegas want wealthy packs and they're all, say it with me, greedy, gold-digging wh*res. Womp womp, cry me a river and sail away on it. These characters have no substance and I only kept reading because I wanted to see if Nate Jr. would have a redemption arc (SPOILER: he fucking dies, that's his redemption arc. He protects Astraea and then gets killed in doing so. Which is fucking noble, I guess, but after all the whining and bullshit, you'd better give me more than a NOBLE, HEROIC DEATH SCENE! I wanted to see him grovel and fucking beg and plead and weep on his knees. I wanted a second book (and a first without the misogyny) where he comes back after a stint in rehab and chemotherapy and he does the work! He proves that he's changed and becomes the Alpha he needs to be for Astraea). This book made me so angry I could throttle the characters if they were irl.
I think this book could have been so much better and I know it because I've read some of Cinder's other works and they're good. Some suggestions I have are to rework the KTO movement and show us scenes of its organization or news clips where it talks about some up-croppings of it and their implications. Discuss news of attacks against Omegas because of it, the way the law was put in place was way too rushed and would benefit from some build up. It would raise tensions and make more sense in the plotline. Also, completely rework the remarks made by the MMCs, except for Nate Jr., on Omegas. Get rid of the misogynistic undertones and make it seem like there's only a handful of prissy, uptight Omegas and they've had the unfortunate chance of encountering them. Astraea'd internalized misogyny needs to go to, her acting like these men who clearly have the advantages in this power balanced society require sympathy and respect is wild. Anyone that doesn't challenge the status quo allows it to continue and if that ain't a vote of support idk what is. That's how these Alphas should be portrayed because in some aspects they already are. The private security Icarus offers to Omegas and tattoos that Nate Sr. does are examples of that. Finally, revive my boy Nate Jr. he has some work to do even if a storyline needs to be crafted where his condition is kept secret so as not to stress out Astraea. Nate Jr., like I said, needs to go to therapy, rehab, and chemo, not necessarily in that order and then he needs to work on his relationship with everyone in his life and maybe in the end he never gets to be with Astraea, but who knows, maybe he keeps proving that he has changed and has his redemption.

train wreck
There was a ton of potential in this book it just wasn’t followed through, there was a lot to digest when it came to the actual plot that I think the author forgot what she was writing about and what her characters were about. There were so many plot points that everything got super confusing and muddled. The problem is the book had a lot of plot holes. Things that drove me crazy about the book:

There’s a movement going on forcing alphas to bond with omegas or they can’t do business or get enough clout to make money and connections. It seems like most alphas are anti-omega and lump them all in as gold diggers. They make it seem like they don’t have any power- when they literally determine everything.
The alphas make every single decision and omegas rely on their parent packs to protect them- if that’s the case then why was the FMC left with her mom growing up even though she had a solid dad group that loved and supported her, if they knew she was @busive why would they not protect her?
Having twins with the same name was just so dumb, I literally have never in my life met someone who was a twin where they shared the same name different spellings?
The government was so regulated with making sure alphas and omegas were forced to meet and greets how was it Jr was able to say death of their omega to get away from being mandated, how did a popular and famous rockstar pack whose info would’ve been out there, really have been able to get away with it. Especially after the lengths it took to find out Rex’s past info.
The omega is short 5’2, one of the alphas remarked her “long legs” wrapping around him. If you’re 5’2 your legs are stubby as F.
The dialogue of the characters didn’t seem to carry through the book. You have moments of them speaking to each other throwing around the word “ain’t“ then you’ve got them inner dialoguing
“For there’s no way I found my scent match” men just don’t talk Shakespearean-like.
It was extremely confusing that Icarus’ family seemed like a secret? His parents Knox and velvet and doctor dad- it was really weird that he called his parents by their names and acted like they weren’t family- that made absolutely no sense. Even if later on it could be a book or whatever it just seemed like some kind of editing error.
The whole alphas getting cancers from the blockers doesn’t make complete sense why it wouldn’t be published knowledge- one would think that bc the government is pulling all the strings they would be using these scare tactics as they use these tactics for everything else.
There’s so much more confusing plot points (too many plots), character dialogue, punctuation errors- this book needs a complete re-do with a real editor and a better team of alpha and beta readers.

Theoretically Okay
This book was just not was it purported itself to be, and had a lot of what I thought were subpar plot points/devices. It also needs a THOROUGH edit. I wouldn’t recommend it, nor would I seek out other works by this author.

Knot their Omega
It took me a day to really get into the book, there is a lot happening in the beginning of the story. I wish there was more of a time frame because I felt like something’s happened quickly but they were farther away than I thought so that was a little confusing to me. I felt like there was so much happening but also not enough.
As for the story itself I enjoyed it, it was different than other OV I’ve read. Bring the tissues, you will need them. They guys were great, I wish we saw more of Kai and Kenjis relationship. As for Nate…… IYKYK.
I enjoyed this book, my first from this author and look forward to reading about Kamaris story.

So much plot, so much going on, plots and twist all the way. Love it.
In the end the one that I thought would be impossible to redeem, did it.
Please tell me there's gonna be about Violet, Knox, Malcom and the other dude? Because I need more of Rea and her pack even if it's in small cameos.
Also are we getting a series about the caging fights in Europe, because that would be awesome.

I dnf’d this book at 80%…this book gave me severe whiplash there were to many men to keep up with…there were 2 Nathaniel’s…..why couldn’t they have separate and different names idk…and it was just overall wayyy to chaotic that it made my brain hurt…I just had to protect my peace yall…🙂↔️😑😖

Beautiful story
It was empowering and emotional. I was proud of the fmc. My heart broke for Nate Jr. I am not sure I would have ended it like that. I love redemption, but this one broke my heart, and I cried.

This...was all over the place. It started off strong and then progressively went downhill
There were way too many sub plots:
- random twin intro'd
- random cancer diagnosis
- controlling/abusing mom
- absentee dad + pack
- band touring (that never happens?)
- new Omega laws
- new govt laws related to the Omega laws
- Havens getting attacked/going on lockdown
- FMC's bff getting kidnapped -> Dubai
- twin's sister getting murdered (past event)
- bad twin orchestrating her getting sold -> murder (past event)
- good twin essentially disowned (past event)
- bad twin selling their music catalogue
- FMC owning a whole ass music company, even as an Omega
- Omega oppression/control/abuse
- Alpha oppression/control
There was just way too much going on. Again, the beginning was good so I didn't think to DNF, but I kind of wish I had

The reveal 55%? in that there's a twin to the worst MMC in fictional history felt completely out of left field. The bad twin is obsessed with rising to fame, but apparently the good twin sings better so he's the vocals on all their albums - even though something like that can be auto tuned? This plot point made *no* sense, except to write off the bad twin permanently
Which, the bad twins gets a random cancer diagnosis - you don't really care though because he's been so horrible, and then he for real straight up dies at the end protecting her, which again, you don't care, as he showed no remorse up until dying
Then, as he's dying/realizing he's going to die, he laments being alone for his treatments - he surprisingly chose to get treatment even though he's rejected everythinggggg up to this point (and the Dr claimed 99.9% of alphas reject the treatment). And this is where it would have helped to SEE it, instead of him telling us about it, so we could care about him dying

This book was so desperately in need of an editor. If nothing else, get a few friends to proofread the thing before throwing it out there to the public. There were so many problems with it, that if this thing did have an editor, they need to find a different career choice.
There were so many missed words, completely wrong words (not just misspelled), and grammar issues all over the place. Add in strange continuity problems and people monologing to each other, it was just a mess.

I decided on this book, as I have come to enjoy OV books recently. I'm only 10% in so far, and i have to say that the dialog in this book is strange. Plus, does everyone just talk about politics and government all the time? I understand try ro build a world and political climate, but this is not how people talk to each other.
This book is stilted and strange. It feels disjointed, and I am barely into it. She is supposedly this badass omega who doesn't want a man or the government to tell her what to do, but then gets all excited to go to a mandated meet and greet?
15% - a repeated paragraph a few pages apart. Im wondering if there was an editor involved with this book at all. It certainly doesn't seem like it.
At 50%, I was about done with Nate. He has had no redeeming qualities or interactions yet, but wait! Then at 52%, there's another one. And their parents named them both essentially the same thing? Who does that?
I stopped making notes after that, realizing that the issues just don't stop. I am done now, and I have to say that this book needs help. I sincerely hope this author improves in the next book. I will give it a try, but if we have more of the same, I will just drop it.

This story had potential but the author got carried away. A critique partner should have been employed initially to keep the author focused. Instead, she/they decide to keep adding storylines. Backstory should be established in the beginning even if it's not going to be introduced until later; not made up and added along the way. Potential spoilers ahead: A secret Omega songwriter- millionaire-billionaire- CEO. A powerhouse scared to be discovered as an Omega even though she has a powerful family backing her, has her own power owning her business, and has her billions spread ensuring she will remain rich if she needs to make a quick escape. The abusive mother who is allowed to blackmail her grown daughter with a forced marriage for money. A bisexual Alpha whose royal? family has disowned him but instantly forgives him after one visit with his Omega and opens the family back up to him. One Alpha with secret parents in a secret pack who both have friendships with Astraea. But the most ridiculous are the secret twins with the same name. Their storyline was nonsense. Beyond the rambling storylines, there were grammatical errors, repeated passages, time inconsistencies, and word use that seemed as if the author was not American and unfamiliar with American and European language differences. I recommend a paid critique partner and a new editor.

Wow.
Okay I’m usually not one for stand-alone’s I’m an avid series reader but my goodness am I so happy I read this! This story was brilliant & so absolutely mesmerizing. I loved reading about each character and their struggles as well as what helped them to move forward. The ending definitely brought tears to my eyes so hard. I truly wasn’t expecting some of what happened in this story. There is about to be a spoiler I am going to reveal so please stop reading if you don’t want the spoiler !!!! ⚠️ ⛔️ ‼️
I loved that the author didn’t do what most authors do with irredeemable male characters. I truly was hoping that Nate Jr. would be apart of the pack after the way he treated Astrea bc he truly didn’t deserve it. Though I must say you did a wonderful job or redeeming him as a person. I cried my eyes out when he walked into the story. I was truly terrified he was going to be a bad guy to the end. However you truly did him such a justice by having him realize his faults & having him redeem himself in the most wonderful way. I’m so sad that he didn’t get to hear how much his brother loved him & forgave him before dying. But again you wrote that ending so beautifully & I just can’t express how much I loved this story & how you took a different route than most authors I have read have. You are a remarkable author Cinder Blaze & I thank you generously for creating such a masterpiece.

Good bones, half a$$ed follow through?
Woahhhh. This was something. It was VERY plot heavy in a few places that really didn't need it, and really light in the places that did. Some portions had me scratching my head when explained, like Knox and Velvet and their relationship with Icarus, how Icarus knew her identity almost immediately, Nathaniel Jr/Sr, but I just started rolling with it and forced myself to push through.
I definitely didn't see that plot twist coming, and some people really don't deserve a redemption arc, but it did make me cry! I feel like some of the stuff that was thrown out while over the phone (i.e., bodies hidden) really didn't make sense and could've done without??
Let's talk spice: I felt like it teased a bunch of Kai-Kenji-Rea scenes and then just didn't get written? Almost like it was a passing thought to hook more readers, but no follow through?

I liked the idea and the characters, but this really needed another edit.
A story with the makings of forced proximity, turned very much into insta-love, tossing the initial trope out the window. The characters were all decent, and you could like them all except for one from the get go. The multiple POV gave you a little more insight into each one of them, which solidified my assessment of the characters until the last possible moment in the book.
Unfortunately, the writing style didn’t work for me with all these grand monologues given by the characters professing all their backstories and feelings repetitively, and with such flowery dialogue. The message of the book, about the inequality between stations, was also repeated to an unnecessary degree that made reading it a little tiresome. Further with the writing, the overall sentence structure and word choices made by the author were confusing at times taking you out of the story.
I’m not sure if I’ll be picking up the next book in the series. As curious as I am about the friend’s story, if the writing and lack of editing remains the same I’m not sure if I’ll commit to getting through it.

I was curious about the story, a little different from Omegaverse stories. But this book wasn't really sure what it was. There was open door smut, but she never went through a Heat, eh, ok. There were chapters from a person's viewpoint, except they just watched other characters talk. And then, after pages of dialogue (between other characters) the chapter's narrator will finally have thoughts and actions to contribute to the scene. Not a method of storytelling I think works well. There was an entire character who (SPOILERS)
Is the most giant turd, this isn't explained why until the end, but even then, you just hate this guy. But he has a twin brother with the same name (this is explained but not really explored, just insane) who is basically all the goodness he's not, and can basically take his place.
Why?!?! I think the only purpose this awful character existed was so that he could be sacrificed at the end? And get some redemption for giving his life for an Omega? Not a good reason to create a character.

Rae was a wonderful badass omega. I loved how sharp tongued she was but she was a bit weak when it came to her evil/poisonous mother. I liked Icuras especially as the pack leader but I felt like he kind of took the backseat once Nathaniel came along. Nathaniel ended up taking a bit of the spotlight. I loved Kai and Kenji. They were such sweethearts.
The story threw me off with Nathaniel 2.0. I honestly don't understand why Icarus was so loyal to Nate and why the pack tolerated him for so long. That being said, as toxic as Nate was I don't think he deserved what happened to him. For some reason I felt a bit attached him. I had initially thought he'd remain as a pack member, change for the better, and eventually fall for Rae but that unfortunately didn't happen. What a sad ending for Nate.

Okay, I'm just being honest:
--there were so many typos. So. Many.
--so many run-on sentences/sentences that just got confusing.
--the voice wasn't the best, but there was potential in there if someone gave this author a lot of guiding hands and red-pen editors.
--it turns out that there can, in fact, be too much dialogue in a book. Who knew?
--you do not need to give each character a monologue where they re-state the plot events and character arcs of the entire book. It is unnecessary, boring, and took 5+ pages (on Kindle) for each one. It slowed the pacing and felt weird--there is just some stuff that other people don't need to hear, you know? Also, sometimes the monologues were telling specific info to characters that were absolutely not previously in the loop, and they just accepted this dramatic speech with "aaah 🧡". And if it had been me, I would have been like, "the actual eff are you talking about??? Y'all good??? 👀"
--somehow this book made it seem like the Omega's movement for autonomy was a bad thing??? Which is like, weird, given the context ya know? And also, like, the way that omegaverse novels generally interrogate class and gender structure???

Beautiful
I love omegaverses I had looked at this one multiple times thinking it's just another book about cocky rock star guys that let fame get to their heads and there are parts like that so I wasn't 100% off. I started reading the second book and met the fmc Astraea from the first one,after she had a run in with the aphla from the gym.😁 it gave me the push to stop and read book one first and im so glad I did this book was amazing their was so many characters I fell in love with hoping they will find their happily ever after. the guys were great, the plot was 🎯, and the ending had me 😭😭😭. I was wondering how nate could ever redeem himself, and he did. the last scene with him was sad, but I also felt it was beautiful. thank you to the author for making a beautiful omegaverse book that gave me all the feels. now I'm jumping straight into book two.

The story itself is great. The editing is atrocious. Whoever the author's editor is, they did her a huge disservice. Grammatical errors, contextual errors; heck, there were even words that didn't belong, sprinkled throughout the book like seasoning. The phrasing in several places was awkward, and some things just had me scratching my head trying to understand what word was MEANT to be used.
I would have finished sooner, but I kept getting thrown out of the narrative due to all the errors. It was frustrating. However, props for the actual story that kept me interested enough to finish it. I don't know if I'll read the next one, especially if the author doesn't get a different editor. Also, PLEASE have proofreaders.

Lots of stuttering, capitalizing certain words for emphasis, Writing.Sentences.like.this.with.fullstops. ; spelling errors and grammatical mistakes. This wasn't a problem for me considering I grew up on fanfiction but it can get annoying some. Even though the MMCs were great, they also kept mentioning how FMC was unlike other omegas, who were only after their money, and she was different from all another "bitches" (FMC was however not a pick me)
If you don't mind this type of writing style then go on ahead because the story is completely worth it.

4.5 ⭐️ omegaverse / rockstar romance
This was a really compelling story about an omega artist finding her pack despite the suppressing societal structure and laws as well as familial struggles. It took some time to get acclimated to how the world works in the story, but the relationship building was described neatly and the multiple POVs flowed into each other, so you could really relate to how the characters were feeling.
I deducted 0.5 ⭐️ for the spelling / grammar mistakes, that kind of disrupted the reading experience, but overall, I really enjoyed the story and I will definitely follow up with Kamari‘s experience.

Omegaverse
I was pleasantly surprised by this omega verse book. This 1 definitely had a few new twists And I really enjoyed reading it. The main female character was a badass and awesome. She had 1 best friend I wish we could have seen a little bit more of their friendship in this book. Her relationship with the male characters was good not to contrived or super instantaneous. And we had some fun plot twists that I didn't expect. I wish we had more of a follow up on the situation with her family her background and her mother who was a wench. I would definitely recommend this book.

I finished this purely because I couldn’t DNF a book this early in the year. I have read a LOT of omegaverse in the last couple years, and not all of it was good, but this one takes the bad cake. It’s like the author took all the plot points of 8 different books, shoved them together with no care and then added a set of twins both names Nathaniel? Be so for real. Also in trying to mature the language up the author absolutely used words incorrectly. Specifically the word “portray”…. like c’mon now.

DNF- poor editing and super confusing
Whole paragraphs are repeated, super wordy. A lot of details some places (that don’t need it) not enough details where you actually need it. It took me 3 days to make it 14%. Honestly should have quit after the first day. At this point I can’t tell you a single characters name. But I can tell you there was a whole page about how the FMC loves her dogs so much she trained them to get out of the house incase of an emergency or fire… like what.
