When attorney Denise Ryland boarded an L.A.-bound flight from Chicago's O'Hare Airport for a visit with her in-laws, the last thing she expected was that her baby would end up missing. After all, when you're cruising at an altitude of 31,000 feet, where could a small infant possibly go? Where indeed?
The kidnapping didn't seem possible, but author did make it believable. A few too many coincidences. Kept me wondering how it was going to end, but it was a short book, so I didn't have to wait very long for the conclusion. I liked how he started the book with the main event, the kidnapping, and then went back several years and built the story around the mother's career as an attorney in Chicago.
