What can I say about this book??  Jahy, Carla and I started this on a Saturday night and couldn't put it down for a second...the "bings" were going off on Google Hangouts with funny things we found while reading...and I have to say that ALL of them started with a "Bwahahahaha".

You know, I thought this would be cheesy...I thought this was going to be stupid.  I thought, here we go again...I'm gonna pick out another dud that is going to end up as a DNF.  What a pleasant surprise when we ALL LOVED it!  Not just me...not just crazy Jahy and not just responsible Carla.  We went wild...we went crazy and we all had to change our Depends afterwards.

Cutest funny story ever with freaky ass elves....a mysterious man named Victor...crazy horny reindeer and one blood sucking Santa.

If you have an hour or two and want to laugh your ass off....this is definitely the book for you!

So my final question is.....how about a 2nd book?  Hmmmm? Maybe Virginia and Victor?

Please oh please....master Robin Reed!!

I really enjoyed the concept of this story. Santa Vamp lol it made me laugh at times. Overall I liked it. I would recommend this. It is not your average Christmas-clean story. So if you are up to reading a unique type of Christmas story this season, pick this story up!

Reading a story by Robin Reed is like watching a film by Sam Raimi....you're not going to get a lot of subtle language or deep themes, but you are going to get lots of memorable moments and plenty of interesting visuals. Some of those visuals won't always be pleasant, but they will always be unforgettable. And always bloody good fun.

Being a very visually oriented person, that's what I like most about Robin's work, the strong visual sense I get from the stories, the pictures I get in my head while I'm reading and that last long after. Fortunately for the reader, Robin doesn't just write splatter, but has an imaginative and skewed sense of humour that makes the reader grin even as they're grimacing.
Those elements come together perfectly in "'Twas the Night", a seasonal adventure that not only subverts the formulae of Xmas stories, but does so in a fast-paced tale that nicely blends comedy and horror...with a little bit of Xmas magic.

For the reader who's tired of Hallmark movies, who's read M.R. James to death, and who will scream if they get one more Scrooge film, but still wants a good Xmas tale to curl up with, I recommend setting out tall glass of nog, a plate of shortbread and settling down in front of the fire (or the Youtube fireplace video...your choice) and spending a couple of happy hours with this book.

When I'm reading a Robin Reed, I always finish up with the thought, "This would make a good movie". Nowhere is that more true than with this story. There's lots of moments and elements in here that i would love to see in a video production, maybe live action, maybe animated in a pseudo-Rankin Bass or Henry Selick style. Might have to leave that scene with the elf and the reindeer on the cutting room floor, though.
Maybe we could even convince Sam Raimi to direct.

This was another Freebooksy find and Robin, you had me at vampire Santa. This was so funny and a bit suspenseful. If you like vampire stories, the Christmas holiday and don't mind a bit of inappropriateness, this is definitely a story you should check out. I don't want to give anything away, but two of the most memorable parts were when the reindeer terrorists blew up the delivery department (and what happened to the Barbies and Kens because of it) and everything having to do with Victor.

There are two reasons I only gave it a 4: 1) The story lags in a few places and 2) Someone needs to go through with a red pen and fix some of the issues, which aren't very many, but enough to be a little bothersome. Neither of these problems were enough to make me put the Kindle down. In fact, the last night I found myself sitting up till 4am to finish it and find out what happened because it was rather intense.

This little gem of a multi-holiday novella is chock-full of delightful Christmassy euphemisms such as "she jingles the bells of all the elves." There are several sections where the prose is almost lyrical, actually there are several instances where the prose is quite literally lyrics, from some of the most popular Christmas tunes of course.

Even though this novella is only about 35,000 words, it had humor, suspense, mystery, action, and horror, all woven together in an almost perfect little satirical Christmas story package. The descriptions of the North Pole made me feel like I was actually there, and I would love to be a part of the post Christmas Launch party that the elves enjoy every Christmas Eve. If you are like me and prefer slightly less cheery holiday stories, you will enjoy this novella.

i just loved the concept of the bad Santa and balls freezing off the the winter!! well this might seem very offensive for some. but once you start reading the book you will find it very difficult to put down. there are passages that will make you go ROLF. it is by far the best Christmas book i have red this year. would recommend it to all the people who love to have some fun every now and then!! an amazing read, truly!

I was given a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

I had made a promise to myself that I wasn't going to read any holiday themed books this year. And then I saw this beauty and I had to have it - immediately.

And, oh gawd, it was worth it.

It was fantastical, hilarious, and is totally now my favorite Christmas story. Read it immediately.

I received a free digital copy from storycartel.com in exchange for a review.

I like the funny twists in the story. This story is a nice change from the traditional storyline, and I liked Nose's new purpose. The plot and pacing was good and the similes were original. I liked when the characters were described without telling the traditional name.
