Deadly Circus is the 28th book in the Witch in the Woods series by Jenna St. James.
Even after 28 books, I am highly obsessed with this book.
The Circus is in town for the first time on Enchanted Island and everyone is excited.
Well except the performer who is murdered. Shayla, Needles and the gang are all investigating.
I really loved the Circus; it was so much fun, and the author was so creative with a magical circus.
The mystery was excellent, as usual I was completely surprised at who the murdered was.
Highly recommend this fantastic paranormal mystery!

The Circus has come to the Island. Shayla, Needles and Zoie have been tasked with monitoring the Circus's effect to the grounds they have set up on. A magical circus with many colorful characters. The very minute they show up to the circus, they need to resolve a fight. The strong man is accusing the top performer for the circus of stealing Gregors prized warhammer. Sebastian is claiming innocence, but, upon investigation, Shayla finds the hammer in Sebastian's tent. Smoothing out tempers., they promise to get to the bottom of things.With that settled, the next morning at a mandatory meeting, Sebastian is missing. That is when things turn to non stop action since Shayla and Zoie find Sebastion, strangled. I will add, Ms. Jenna has created the MOST adorable cherub twins, full of strong powers. The twins get faces painted, and, well, you will just have to read this book. Interesting characters, new and regulars, a totally enjoyable book!

The circus has come to Enchanted Island and what a unique experience it is. Not like any circus you've ever been to. Shayla, Zoie, and Needles are working at the circus to keep things in order for the land and animals and are right on the scene when a murder is committed. Great to see Zoie and Shayla work together again. Great introduction to Harlow's new boyfriend, Dominic, and I can't wait to see him in future books. As always, plenty of suspects that kept me guessing. And lots of fun plans ahead for future books. Can't wait.

I've read all the A Witch in the Woods mysteries. Each one that comes out is different even though the inhabitants of Enchanted Island are the same. This time the circus is in town! Shayla and Zoie are working to keep the fun safe. When creepy Puppet master Sebastian Blackwood is strangled with his own enchanted puppet strings, the PADA duo find too many suspects and motives but little proof. Join Shayla and all our friends on Enchanted Island as they sift clues to make sure the show goes on.

I alwayy enjoy spending time on Enchanted Island.
Having Shayla, Zoie and Needles watching over a circus was a different and fun twist.
It opened the door for us to get to know a whole circus full of new characters that were really well written, I was genuinely curious what would happen with them moving forward!
It was so fun that all of our favorite characters came to the circus so we could see what was going on with them too.
The mystery was intriguing. I didn't see the end coming at all!!! Which I loved!!!

crazy chaos circus
Circus comes to town, someone unexpectedly dies, murder involved and it’s wild!
Shayla and Zoie and now Harlow are the PADA detective team, but it’s crazy Chaos! And with the rest of the magical community on hand and involved, really, isn’t that why it is always hilariously fun and funny? Plus, goth princess Harlow has a boy friendish type on the scene, too soon to tell what he will be yet. looks promising. And at the end of the book, the killer WASa surprise, unpredictable and quite a surprise...and an absolutely worthwhile read

Circus a murder a hero good mystery
Love that Harlow has boyfriend we were teased about him in the last book but this time we find out who he is. The twins Gigi and her crew Tommy pretty much alk main characters show up at the circus and make appearance in this book.like Zoey working with Shayla . I always have craving for salted Carmel pretzels and will find some someday lol

Great series!
Shayla, Zoie, and Needles are back solving another murder. This time it's at a paranormal circus that's visiting the island for a few days. The only problem is the victim was hated among the circus community, so ruling out suspects will be harder than normal for the trio!

Everyone loves the circus 🤡
Especially a supernatural circus. This one gets exciting. There are of course new characters. This murder is a first. Things are picking up for the future , in to the next book!

The author did a really good job of explaining and describing the puppets, which are extremely disturbing. I was cringing as I read it. Not everything and the paranormal world is pretty and light.

Consistently fun series with likable characters. I'm ready for Alex and Shayla to partner up again though. Zoie is fun but it's just not the same.

Totally enjoyed it! This is a well written and has well developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!

Another fun adventure on Enchanted Island with Shayla, Zoie and Needles. Plenty of twists, the characters are enjoyable, the twins are cute but scary and the mystery kept me turning the pages.
