A man has a dream, a vision to see the world through eternal eyes. Dr. Heisler, roboticist, funds Project Human to advance the human race. After funding is diminished, he takes drastic measures and uploads a human awareness into a mobile robotic construct.
Dennis has been writing for 8 years and has accomplished a great deal in a short amount of time. Apart from writing and creating some wonderful stories, he learned editing from working with Chuck Sambuchino. His creative skills are easily recognized in books like War and Glory where scifi and horror are mixed, or books like Cayneian, where fantasy and horror are mixed, but he also portrays a great many psychological and philosophical issues throughout his writing. Producers can check his list of titles at his Kirkus proconnect page.
it's been awhile since I read a Dennis story that wasn't Lokians, and I'm glad to have come across Losing Human. It was really long for a short story, but the short of it is that Dr. Heisler want to study the singularity, the point in time where people uplaod their brains to robots, and when his project loses funding because of what happened when the group uploaded an ape into a computer, the doctor flips out and uploads himself to a robot. Then all heck breaks loose, and the robot, who I guess is Heisler starts hacking into all kinds of computers and he instantly downloads information to his mind. It was a crzy story but really well told. Once more, the characters in this story are just so unique it's like the writer has split personality disorder or something. Great read.
