-lots of helpful diagrams on every page.

-a pretty comprehensive book

-suggests using a twin needle for parallel top-stitching. i'd never heard of a twin needle.
-straight stretch stitch for the sewing machine on knits
-temporary fusible stabilizer for areas like darning
-suggests adding fabric or interfacing underneath the hole and catch with darning stitches
-darning foot for machine darning, lower the feed dogs or attach a darning plate
-suggests sewing a line of running stitches around the perimeter of the hole before darning.
-tips for sewing on elastic rather than inserting into a casing
-how to add a gusset to the side for clothes that are too small
-how to lengthen hems, sleeves, and cuffs
-camouflaging flaws rather than mending.

Jam-packed with useful information, without any of the annoying "we're reinventing sewing because it's rad!" hype.
