FBI Agent Jo Pullinger is put on the case. Right away, she knows it isn’t going to be open and shut. Because the missing fiancée just so happens to be Blaine Creighton’s sister.

Jo’s about to be caught in the middle of a storm. Along with everyone she cares about.
THOMAS FINCHAM holds a graduate degree in Economics. His travels throughout the world have given him an appreciation for other cultures and beliefs. He has lived in Africa, Asia, and North America. An avid reader of mysteries and thrillers, he decided to give writing a try. Several novels later, he can honestly say he has found his calling. He is married with two kids, and he lives in a hundred-year-old house. He is the author of LEE CALLAWAY series, the HYDER ALI series, the MARTIN RHODES series, and the ECHO ROSE series.
Secrets never win and family makes it all make sense. Jo, Ford, and McKinley are back with an easy case that quickly shows itself as not easy. With the help of a former supervisor, a current FBI supervisor, and Larkin this trifecta works frantically to solve the case and secrets they find out along the way. Blaine got the worst of it, but was also brilliantly portrayed. The hospital featured prominently, but not Dr. Pavel! The ending was precious for Jo on the personal side and I can’t wait for the next book as I enjoy this series a lot!
I chose the highest rating because these books are excellent reading. It became more and more difficult to put a book down to attend to the necessities in my life because I couldn't wait to read what came next. I have read murder mysteries all of my life and this author is great at weaving different things together in a story then always giving the reader unexpected twists. I'm 76. I will read all of the rest of his books because he is an excellent storyteller.
This was really good. The story was unexpected Its always nice when the characters continue as in a series like this one. But the events were not in my imagination but guess that's why T. Fincham has written so many best seller books and I haven't. This story captures you right away until the last page.
Aside from the somewhat expected homicide(s), the centerpiece of this tale is a much-respected Chief who’s unmarried but engaged, with political aspirations.
When the Chief’s fiancée goes missing, the Chief’s elegantly crafted life and persona crumble, at first slowly but speeding toward a catastrophic avalanche of death and destruction.
I am a Jo Pullinger fan all the way. Love Thomas Fincham stories, I feel I am right with Jo and the gang. It kept me wanting to read to the end as fast as I could but now that I have I have to wait for book 11, its only till the 18th, so that's not to bad. I will be getting it on day one. Check out the stories with Jo Pullinger and her gang, you won't be sorry.
Another great plot that kept your interest going. Maybe not as complex a plot as in previous books but interesting enough to fly through the pages and read in one sitting. I like how the relationships between the characters keep growingies. and that add a level of believability to the story. Stinn binge reading my way through these books and will be sad to reach the end.
A story full of action and just about everybody was in the thick of it. Living the dream as caffeine addicts. Never have I read a story that included so much coffee.
A great story that keeps you guessing through its twists and turns, until a surprise final outcome. And I loved the finale scene too! Highly recommended reading for all Jo Pullinger fans, and I can’t wait until the next book comes out.
