All I ever wanted was to escape the world of wolves - not be forced into a loveless marriage with Ashton, the Alpha of Nightclaw, and be tied down forever.
But being the only human in a pack of wolves, my desires mattered little.
Desperate to stop the wedding, I make a mistake — one that makes Ashton realize how much we both despise this mating.
So he offers me a marry him, give him an heir, and then I can walk away, leaving Nightclaw and him behind forever.
I take the deal, knowing it is my only way out, believing I can walk away unscathed.
When love is the last thing you expect, it becomes the only thing you need.
We tie the knot, and he claims me as his Luna.
But as I get to know him, I do the one thing I swore I wouldn’t - I fall in love with the Alpha.
The man who had vowed to let me go now held my heart in his hands.
He was bound to me by duty, but he claimed my heart by choice.
Love does not follow rules, and neither do the secrets lurking in the shadows.
When Ashton’s buried secrets resurface, shattering my heart, I am left grappling with the truth of our relationship.
His haunting past — the truth about his true mate — unveils thorns that wrap around my heart.
Had Ashton ever truly loved me, or had the lines between love and hatred blurred for me alone?
Love was never part of the deal, but neither was betrayal.
As the ghosts of the past threaten to tear us apart, a startling revelation shakes my core.
I am pregnant with the Alpha’s child.
He was supposed to be a means to an end, but he became my everything.
Then the girls in the pack begin disappearing, and a sinister threat comes to light.
With enemies closing in and betrayal lurking around every corner, the pack’s survival is on the line, and I find myself right in the middle of it all.
When you fall for the Alpha, there’s no running from the wolves.

It felt like the book was written by AI. Very choppy and the descriptions and language were odd. Also it was faded to black in such a way where I was almost surprised the FMC was pregnant but it seemed like they had at most slept together once.
3.5 Stars I cannot stand 70 a 80% of the Hs in the books, because they always treated the hs like dirt, it's rare that I cannot stand the hs. I can count in one hand how manys heroines I cannot stand, and including the two from the same author. The heroine from this book and the heroine from Night Flames are one of the rare selfish and ungrateful bitch that don't deserve the H. She only care about herself. She acept to be his mate because she is a selfish coward, not because her family and pack. She had no loyalty towards anyone besides herself, not even her family. The only loyalty and love she felt is to herself. And she is a cheater, she was going to stab the H on the back. The H always treated her fairly and even protect her life all her life. Why the rare good Hs get the unworthy hs? Tbis h is a spiteful and vengeful bitch, she should be a OW. She called the H with many insults, she should be in a mirror, this insults apply to her and not the H. Unfortunately the H in this is a Beta and will be the doormat to the spiteful and untustworthy h. I don't care much that she changed her tune later. Ashton is one of the most patient, caring and sweet Hs that deserved the best and strong heroine instead he got this annoying heroine. He is one of the few rare worth Hs, in my opinion just 1% of the Hs that is truly worth of the H title. I don't mind if she were the h to one of the awful Hs in the majority of books because they deserved it, instead they get a doormat martyr punch bag.
The Alpha’s Bride (Reluctant Mates Book 1) ~~ This book pulled me in fast. A rejected mate, a controlling alpha, and a heroine who just wants out of the wolf world ~ but life has other plans. The emotional push-and-pull between these two was frustrating in the best way. I wanted to shake the alpha more than once, which tells me the author did her job.
Reading this on Kindle while listening on Audible made it even more intense. You can feel the regret and tension when secrets start stacking up. The secret baby angle adds emotional weight without feeling rushed, and I appreciated that the FMC didn’t instantly forgive him.
I would definitely recommend this book and series and can’t wait to start on the next book. If you want to know what happens next, you’ll just have to read this series yourself ~ you won’t regret it.

There’s always someone that covets what he or she doesn’t merit. In werewolf world, it can be a mate that belongs to someone else or in this case, a wolf that covets the Alpha position and will betray the pack to get it. Erik is the cousin that isn’t the Alpha but thinks he should have the pack.
A decent story that has a wolfless girl. Her genes have skipped being a wolf somehow because parents and brother are definitely wolf. Alpha mates her even though it turns out that he already had a fated mate.
This one was ok, a little predictable and lacked any spice, but the world was good and characters were descent, I liked the writing style, but this one also had two of the things I dislike most in paranormal books: 1) she chooses the poorch to have a sensitive conversation she doesn't want overheard (after checking nobody is home) yet they are SHIFTERS which always have amazing hearing. It just not logical for the genre). 2) The fmc even though she's clearly intelligent, interesting and has substance flails around crying all the time and generally being hopeless, with an almost astounding ignorance/prejudice towards those she's grown up with, considering her family are all wolves and she loves them, this just doesn't track at the level described. Overall a good book but just didn't quiiiitte get there for me.
Loved it (don't read review has hints about the story)
What a breathtaking example of young love in this book!! This book makes you feel all different types of emotions thought this entire book. This book makes you want to root for the Alpha and Luna to figure out how to love themselves and each other. I'm a hopeless romantic and I fell in love with this book. I would recommend this series to everyone to read. This book series ranks in my Top 25 best books 2024!!!!
A book about a girl who was born of wolves but a human. She wants to leave her pack and study I'm a human world But the alpha needs a mate and there is no other female left so the elders ask her to marry him. But she says no. They convince her but at the start hate each other but as time passes she falls in love with him.
The story is good. I gave it 4 stars because there were some confusing parts. Erik was referred to as Ashton's brother and cousin, not sure which he is. Mira seemed selfish throughout the whole thing. I get she was the only human in the pack, but everything she did focused on how it helped her. It was a good story and I enjoyed the overall plot.
What I like most about the story was that it was different than other ones I have read the fact that you have a wolf considered to be a human but still a wolf by Blood was an interesting turn to the Paranormal Romance. I would recommend the story for anyone looking for a light Romance with a sweet love story
I really enjoyed this book. While I don’t like the virtual voice the story was worth listening to it. I wasn’t sure how I was gonna feel about this one, it however wasn’t like every other alpha book and I enjoyed that. I love that she is human even though she was born to wolves and I love how they eventually create a loving relationship.
This story gad real depth. The characters were well formed, articulated and interesting. The story had steamy scenes but they didn't overwhelm the story. It was an understatement and slow climax to the end. I only wished for a few more chapters. Hopefully there's a sequel! Definitely a different but great werewolf love story!
Mira is a strong human in the werewolf world. I'm not sure where the rejected part of the title comes in. Ashton and Mira do have an agreement for a year.
The characters are well developed and relatable. The story is well written and an enjoyable read.
Short easy read They enter into an arranged mate ship She’s human, he doesn’t have a fated mate any more They have an arrangement she will provide an heir snd then can leave They get to know each other and fall in love.
How did she get pregnant? It never mentioned them "consumating" their marriage. They barely kissed. That would have been a whole other set of emotions to convey....
Disappointed the series is all different stories instead of an extension of the first book. I really wanted to know more of the story. Still good and I enjoyed it.
