I am not going to make the same mistake twice. New city, new job, new life.
It almost sounds believable, doesn’t it?
And then Troy Afalava walks into my club.
A bold young MMA fighter with a bruised lip, crushing debt, and no one in his corner, I’ll do what it takes to protect him and his new career. What we do out of the octagon and in the car, penthouse, and kink club is strictly our business.
Sure, I can make him beg for it. But will I be the one who ends up paying for it?
Darker Obsessions is Book 4 in the Dark Obsessions quartet, but may also be read as a standalone. A Mixed Martial Arts sports romance, it contains steamy consensual MM scenes, with a helping of BDSM, leather, thrills, and Evan Draper in his role as the smoldering action Alpha Male dom you've come to love.
Kinky, queer, erotic romance writer here. I'm a huge fan of writing about the ways in which we use kink to create our own narratives and relate to others.
I was the kid who got in trouble at school for writing steamy stories on notebook paper folded into those tight triangular footballs for ease of passing around in the halls. I wrote everything from lemons, to sexy dreams, to the choose-your-own adventure sexcapades.
Now I write steamy romance, because sometimes, it's really beautiful when an intense chemistry leads to a happily ever after (or at least a happy for now).
I can't promise you that my characters will make good choices, but I can promise you a surprisingly thoughtful and wild ride.
This was a very good book. It started out a little different but then the plot became evident it was good. The book is an easy read, some spice, mm relationships. I normally do not read MM books but this one was tastefully done and I would read more of this authors books.
MM relationship, with MMA fighting and BSDM.

I wasn't sure what to expect when I got the ARC offer for this book. I hadn't heard of D.S. Dane, and I hadn't heard of the Darker Obsessions Series.
However, this book ticked a lot of things that I love. Dom/Sub, Brat taming, men loving men, and so much more.
All of the characters are so rough around the edges, and it's something that makes me fall in love with them. They're not perfect. They have flaws, and they make mistakes — big ones. And there are repercussions. It's rare to find a book that has porn and plot and keeps you wanting to read it until the end.
Having read Darker Obsessions, I am, without a doubt, going to go back and read the first three books and then come back and re-read this one. I'm excited!

Oh, I loved this dark story, I loved the dynamic of this narrative. Full of tension. It has a great balance of grit, dirt, spicy steam, thrill, crime, domination, submission, and fights. The two strong-minded characters were awesomely crafted. It was all captivating AF, well-developed, and thrillingly written.
This is the story of Evan that I have been waiting for! I had to go back and remind myself a bit of Evans backstory. Not that you need to read the previous books to enjoy this one, coz you don't. But I think it's worth reading the 3 books before to appreciate Evan's character arc. Troy also has his flaws but it's so satisfying to see his character development. They are good for each other and I was cheering for them throughout the book. There is enough drama, action and spice which keeps the book engaging. Curious to know if other characters from this book will also get their own book.

This was such a dirty short book. The spice was definitely there.
Even if this is a short length story I loved how the author managed to keep you intrigued with the plot, the suspense was top and I couldn’t stop reading, I really needed to know how it would end. And it ended amazingly.
Troy and Evan relationship was a tornado, they couldn’t stop getting back together even if they didn’t want it. Loved the angst 😈.
I would like to thank BookSirens and the author for providing me an early copy.
