Friends reunited. Foes on the run. A moment of respite all-too-fleeting.
With the threat of a second cataclysm bearing down on them, Matt and his allies double their efforts to climb the tower, juggling personal responsibilities, new players, unexpected assistance from unlikely sources, all while weighing the insidious possibility of threats from within.
Since the beginning, Matt’s one-of-a-kind class served as a roguish springboard, allowing him to attain the role of a puppetmaster, manipulating and orchestrating events from behind the scenes. But even with the power he’s attained, the wheels of progress move slowly. With disaster looming on the horizon Matt will be forced to make a choice.
Will he remain hidden in the shadows? Or finally step into the light.
Book 3 of a LITRPG Apocalypse Series set in the real world, where the price of failure is death, and the prize for winning is beyond Matt's wildest dreams.

I really can't believe I DNFd this book and series ...
Note for Authors, don't over exaggerate the ficking chapter numbers. As a reader I don't give a frigg for your 234 chapters number when it's bloody chapter 1 of book 3.
Its been an on-going issue with this series that the protagonist is a weird sociopath that is constantly talking about therapy and psychological nonsense all the time. I dropped the series after book 1 because it was so heavy handed on this millennial trauma-dumping stuff instead of just focusing on being a good fantasy novel. But due to a friend suggesting the series gets better, I've tried repeatedly to catch up.
Upon a third attempt at reading this series, I made it through book 2 and found it mostly enjoyable. But by book 3, Matt is back to being some kind of incel robot with severe mental trauma who's constantly playing arm-chair psychiatrist with everyone he meets. Right off the bat he comes out as asexual which just further alienates him. I could see this book maybe beling fun for weirdos who want to read about a cynical sociopath/murderer who's trying not to be fucking awful for no other reason than some people depend on him... and for some reason, thats the only thing he can care about normally.
But yeah, the protagonist is a fucking wierdo and while the cloak and daggers part of the novel can be fun... It's utterly destroyed by what a terrible protagonist Matt is. If young people constantly talking about mental trauma. mental health, and their weirdo identities all the time is off-putting to you, you should just drop this series altogether and find something actually enjoyable. They say the third time's the charm, but I'll not be picking up this series again.
